Ukrainian Carpathians to calm the soul or active rest in Pylypets
The trip to Pylypets lasted less than 4 days, each of which was tightly planned. We stayed at the Gazdivska Khyzha Hotel, decorated in the folk style of the region. On one of the sites with discount coupons managed to buy a certificate of accommodation in a hotel with 2 meals a day at a good price. I advise you to look for accommodation with food, because Pylypets is a village and there will be no developed infrastructure for tourists here.
The first day was devoted to a tour of Pylypets itself, namely almost its only monuments in the form of Shipit waterfall and Mount Gemba (there is still an old wooden church). Due to the fact that the hotel was reached on foot, it took all day. The waterfall is beautiful, at the entrance collect 10 UAH. At the foot of the waterfall there was a crowd of people who wanted to be photographed against it, disturbing others.
The area near the waterfall also deserves attention.
Beautiful nature, bridges, trolls, there are souvenir shops.
Near the waterfall is a lift to Mount Gemba (cost 60 UAH per person). The ascent is long, which allows you to enjoy the views to the fullest.
Upstairs you can buy a snack or a drink, and at an adequate price. During the visit, the blueberry season was in full swing, it is full at the top.
On the second day, an excursion was planned, which included:
1. Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center. Symbolic fee - UAH 15. Bears that lived in captivity are kept here. Many of them have psychological and physical trauma. They will no longer be able to live in the wild. The center needs the help of those who care. This object just touched the living.
2. Lake Synevir.
3. Kolochava. The cost is UAH 40. This village is not far from Pylypets, which is also called the village of 10 museums. During the tour they are brought to the open-air museum, which resembles Kyiv's Pirogovo.
4.2 mineral springs.
The third day was dedicated to excursions to the following attractions:
1. Thermal pools. Our company preferred to walk along the Coast to visit the pools. I can say that Berehove, which is close to the border with Hungary, has a lot in common with European cities. This and people, and architecture, and even signs in Hungarian.
2. Palanok Castle.
3. Schö nborn Castle, which impressed with its beauty and Schö nborn Castle, but, unfortunately, only outside.
At the entrance you need to pay 20 UAH. In Soviet times, the castle was turned into a sanatorium, so only a fireplace remained inside the castle. That's how they destroyed, in fact, the monument.
Now you can't call it a castle, and it is obsolete as a sanatorium.
4. Finally, a tasting of Transcarpathian wines.
When ordering tours, the cost is 200 UAH per person, not including entrance fees to the location, which was a surprise. In essence, this is a fare. However, getting out of Pylypets on your own is not so quick and easy to see in a few days.
The fourth day of our trip was dedicated to a photo shoot in the Ukrainian style, cycling, which was included in the cost of hotel accommodation and meeting on the way back.
Some of what we saw during the trip can be seen in the video:
