My husband and I rested at the hotel KARPATSKI POLONYNY at the end of June 2011, only 7 days. Accommodation in a guest house, room 1.
First of all, I would like to thank the staff once again - thanks to their attitude, friendliness and diligence, we felt like guests of close relatives. Everything is done very thoroughly, fundamentally, economically, as for yourself, it is noticeable even in small things.
What we liked:
1. First of all, it is of course nature - incredible views, the cleanest, enchanting air, changing landscapes of the surrounding mountains, very well-groomed area (everywhere flower beds, paths, Christmas trees, lots of flowers), many places to walk, many cozy places where you can sit and talk to think of solitude. There is a small lake where the water is so clear that sometimes you can even see a floating trout.
The beech forest is very close - a great place for long walks and horseback riding, meadows with grass, incredible sunsets, wild berries (we found blueberries and strawberries).
2. As for the weather, it is difficult to summarize, because we were only a week. We had 4 very sunny and rainy days, followed by rain and fog. I liked both. On sunny days - walks, excursions, horseback riding and other outdoor activities. In the rain we really liked to sit on the open veranda, wrapped in blankets, carefully left there especially for guests, drink coffee, go to the workshop (pottery, smithy), in the shooting range. I know that there is still billiards and table tennis (we did not go there, but in case of rainy weather - great).
The only thing that in case of such weather you need to bring a sweater and a raincoat, one windbreaker is not enough, you need warmer.
3. Entertainment - everything is described on the site, add nothing.
We did not miss a single day during the week.
In addition, we highly recommend a picnic tour, we went to Tustan, we really liked it.
4. I would like to note the system of payment for services in the hotel: as we were immediately told "we have communism here", that is, you do not need to constantly carry a wallet and pay for everyone. You take everything, order everything, use everything, and this is credited to your account and the next day you immediately pay for all services and purchases for yesterday. Everything is clear and transparent, issue a printout with your costs, prices and amount. I really liked this system.
5. Food: our thanks to the chefs - everything is very tasty, the menu is varied, there is always something to choose from (we had a comprehensive meal), great service. We especially liked the cheese, which was given for breakfast as a supplement to the main course, Carpathian tea and the fact that there is always a pot of wonderful honey on the table.
Baking is a separate topic, it's just incredibly tasty.
It was nice to find a chest of drawers instead of a closet - very convenient, as well as clothes hangers. Bed linen is fresh, new, good towels. There is a sofa bed if the family has children.
Very pleased with the balcony - also wooden, of course. There is a dryer. The balcony offers an amazing view, we often sat and admired the mountains. A flowerpot is hung on each balcony, which makes the balcony even more cozy.
8. Household details: the room was cleaned every day, but no one ever bothered us, everything happened in our absence. Bed linen was changed every three days. It is possible to take things to the laundry, in a few hours bring a neat stack of semi-dry already in the room, you can rent an iron.
In the guest house for 3 rooms 2 bathrooms, there were no queues, except that in the evening sometimes you have to wait.
There is always toilet paper, you can not carry your own. Also, the hair dryer is not bad.
Hot water around the clock, low pressure, but all the water is enough. Neat showers, there is no obsession that this common area is regularly cleaned. But still it is better to bring rubber slippers for the shower - so calmer.
Garbage is taken out regularly, blockages are not met, garbage is in the common hall, but if you organize your own garbage bag in the room, when cleaning it will also be taken out. And in general, the area is perfectly clean, there are trash cans everywhere, so there is no problem where to throw the wrapper.
9. Transfer is a separate attraction. There is really off-road (we went from Truskavets). To be honest, we were delighted with such an adventure. Cars are ideally suited for such a road, even in bad weather (they came back in the rain and in the fog and did not worry about safety).
With ace drivers, you feel calm and confident.
There are some wishes to the administration:
1.
separate the balconies with partitions so that the neighbors are not visible, and if you leave two rooms at the same time you do not feel comfortable. Let it be some kind of lattice made of wooden panels or something that would separate the balconies at eye level, otherwise from one balcony with the door open you can see what is happening in the next room.
2. It would be great if inside the room, at the entrance to lay a rug to leave shoes there. Because the bed is very close, the sand often ended up there after walking. And there would be a rug - he took off his shoes and was already cleaner.
3. Serve a little more bread, two slices per person is not enough (especially considering that the bread is so delicious)
