First time in Bukovel.
Yes, I was in Bukovel for the first time! What contributed to a lot of negative feedback on the Internet.
Apparently, Bukovel did a good "work on the bugs. " As a result, my opinion (according to the results of trips to Dragobrat-Bansko-Gudauri-Zakopane) is that Bukovel is the best, of all where I have been, Bukovel is an established European-level ski resort, probably the best in Eastern Europe. Both my wife and son asked me one question - “Why didn’t we come here before? ”.
The tracks are well prepared, there are practically no hillocks even after lunch. All pistes are covered with guaranteed snow cover (artificial snow if there is no natural snow). There is evening skiing (until 19:30) on three tracks. That is, a ski day - from 08:30 to 19:30, it is quite possible to ride one ski pass together, if desired. There were practically no queues.
Above and below almost every lift there is a cafe with a toilet. Trail markings are satisfactory.
The skiing culture is satisfactory, standard for Eastern Europe. There were no cases of injuries or collisions on the tracks with me. So, they cut occasionally, some riders on the blue slopes use kettles as slalom flags, on the red slopes people waddle along the left edge, or from the middle they famously turn left, having an empty right side.
We were in the "Svyatkovy" season, we lived in Bukovel itself. All liked it. The town is pretty, the whole amount of aprè s-ski is present, you can rent good equipment. The food is very tasty. No one got sick during the trip. I recommend - "Filvarok" network on the mountain, "Dumplings here", "Old Mlyn" in Bukovel. I do not recommend Kaiser. In any institution with a little bit of a name and a claim to the title of a restaurant, everything was packed in the evening (by reservation). But you can also eat delicious food in small cafes. We somehow chose Fairs more, in the fresh air))).
Service is very good. It turns out that our people can be taught to be polite and pleasant in communication.
Our vacation was very low-budget, and even in the highest season, so I don’t quote prices. However, there are plenty of options to optimize costs.
In general, thanks to Bukovel for the fact that he appeared, thanks to those who, with their constructive criticism, help the resort develop in the right direction))))))).
