This year we booked a room for four. Thanks to this, as well as a 15% discount, the cost of the holiday turned out to be almost the same as last year. But now we paid for an extra day. On Saturday we were met at the bus station in Yalta and taken to the hotel . Immediately settled, although we arrived at one o'clock in the afternoon. We had a wonderful lunch for 30 UAH. and could not understand why last year they paid 60 UAH. We settled again in a large room on the western side. This year, new 3-bed rooms appeared on the eastern side. But the area of the room and the bathroom is smaller. the room has a large balcony where you can live and the rain is not terrible. Of last year's hotel staff, only chef Natalia remained. The girls at the reception are especially caring and attentive. We were pleased with the new guides. Professionals and nice people - Alexander, Eduard, Miroslava, Elena. the hotel has its own beach, which they take back and forth according to the schedule. But we didn’t have a chance to swim in the sea. The capacity of the hotel has doubled. If last year about 80 people rested with us, this year about 200. dining room on the 1st floor. Despite the large number of people, they served us quickly. Compared to last year, there were more vegetables. The variety of fruits was again not very pleased. Mainly apples. The food was quite dietary oh, which is a plus for us. Vegetarians and those who want a more rigid diet can negotiate with Natalia. Buffet has not yet been introduced.
On Sunday the weather was unbearable and we went to the Nikitsky botanical garden. Next to the hotel is the final stop of the 29th minibus, which goes right there. In the evening, as usual, there was a festive dinner. Guests from Donetsk participated very actively in the competitions.
Compared to last year, unfortunately, there were no new assets. We decided to go along the Botkin trail and the Uch-Kosh canyon for the second time. It was no less interesting and a little different. Last year we admired the Stavri-Kaya rock from the side. And this time we climbed it. In the Uch-Kosh canyon, we climbed the Plaki-Kaya cliff. But the most memorable were the crossings over the Bala River. After heavy rains, it became full-flowing. another very carefully step on stones and pieces of wood, leaning on two sticks. you have to pay 20 hryvnia. environmental fee (which was not there last year), then entrance tickets are more expensive on excursions. An excursion to the parks of Gurzuf and Partenit cost 110 UAH. We went on an excursion to Balaklava and Inkerman. The rain prevented us from enjoying our vacation in Balaklava. We were pleased. We also walked along the Tsar’s Path for the first time. But we only managed to go halfway. St. Michael the Archangel saved us from heavy rain. We went into the church shop on time and remained dry. our vacation. The super-activists were not lucky that day. They fell under the ice crumbs. Although it was not very warm all week, it was much better than in damp cold Kyiv.
More about evening programs. Living near the Chekhov House Museum, we didn’t bother to go there last year. This year we organized an evening tour. We really liked it. The house and garden have been preserved in their original form. It was very interesting to see a piece of that era. I recommend everyone to visit there. We also saw the Swallow's Nest castle in the night illumination. It was very interesting to listen to Eduard about the history of the castle. and listened to Elena with pleasure. The rest of the days we walked along the embankment and even saw off the cruise liner. On Saturday we left at 17-00 and we had enough time. We decided to pay 120 UAH. for the room and do not check out at 12-00. We spent our free time near the Massandra Palace and walked along the embankment for the last time. Just two handsome liner came to Yalta.
Paid excursions appeared this year in the afternoon. A friend really wanted to ride a horse along the Baidar Valley. But because of the weather, it didn’t work out. You could still go to the zoo (admission ticket 100 UAH). "Yalta Intourist". Sea water there is heated to 28 degrees. 1.5 hours cost 50 UAH. Expensive, considering that the whole day costs 70 UAH.
