Against the backdrop of my impressions, I am amazed at some of the negative reviews, it seems that people go to spoil and therefore come up with such fables.
Thank you again, prosperity to your sanatorium)))

During negotiations with the reservation department, they said that there were no superior rooms, but there were economy rooms with ordinary furniture and ordinary repairs, the employee of the sanatorium sent photos, in which everything was really no frills, but quite decent. We agreed, made an advance payment, issued health resort cards and on the appointed day were in the resort, looking forward to a good rest. However, not all of our hopes were destined to come true. The room in which we were settled was not just not renovated, it was run nowhere, in a word, HORRIBLE! Some wires hung on the ceiling and along the walls, sockets fell out of the walls, as for the furniture, it seemed that it had been brought from the garbage heap. The closet, which stood at the entrance to the room, creaked, staggered, the door did not close, every time we entered the room, we were afraid that it would simply fall on us, it was dangerous to use it, so all things were kept in suitcases. The TV did not show, so it was not clear why they put it there. The bathroom is combined, in black mold, the shower tray was at a height of about 40 cm, a border of tiles 15 cm wide (people with problems of the musculoskeletal system are treated in the sanatorium), sagging and rusty, a curtain in black mold. To wash yourself, you had to take a rather wide step “from one hole to another hole”, and when you get out of the shower you need to manage not to break your neck. The shelf above the washbasin is skewed, so you had to store all your creams, pastes, lotions, razors and other accessories in the room, as everything fell off it. With the onset of night, we experienced all the charm of sleeping on old, sometimes sagging, crooked mattresses, with holes and protruding springs. In the morning we voiced claims to the administrator, for which, as it turned out later, we received a standard excuse about the lack of free rooms. They asked to replace at least the mattresses, we were assured that the mattresses would be replaced with new ones. Arriving after the procedures a little earlier, I had the pleasure of watching how this very replacement was made. . The cleaning lady dragged along the dirty floor of the corridor, dragging exactly the same old, dirty, tattered mattress to our room, when she saw me, she lifted it up, pretending not to notice me. After the “replacement” they brought us blankets and said, if it’s not comfortable, lay blankets on top of the mattresses! To my indignation, they said that new mattresses were supposed to be brought today, but the car with them broke down on the road and we were told this tale for 2 days. I just want to say, poor Saki, apparently only 1 car in the whole city, and that one broke down on the way! I wrote a review on the official website of the sanatorium about all this, but for some reason it was not published, but we were offered to move to a higher class room. In which, indeed, the furniture is normal and the quality of sleep is much better (which is very important, because after the massage the whole body hurts), but we decided that cleaning the room should not be a burden. The change of bed linen, which was supposed to be done every 3 days, in accordance with the conditions of residence, for some reason was made only on the 6th day at my urgent request. Separately, I would like to say about the laundry services, in which they wash nothing without washing anything, moreover, black stripes from dirty clothespins appear on white things. When you show dirty, unwashed stains, they show dissatisfaction and answer that they are not obliged to wash anything. When asked what the meaning of your services is then, she grumbled something under her breath and left without explaining anything intelligible. In the dining room, the food was not up to par, but quite tolerable, cutting vegetables, cheese, boiled eggs, pancakes, etc. , you had to take it yourself, at the distribution of the main dishes they brought according to the custom menu, you choose yourself or they bring you an ordinary dish. But if you have early procedures (before breakfast), you can count on what you yourself ordered (or an ordinary dish), everything was disassembled at the distribution in 5-10 minutes after the opening of the dining room. I was struck by the callousness of the administrator in relation to children. On the first day, when we were supposed to determine the table, I noticed that a little boy was standing in front of the steps in the hall and crying, which I told the administrator about, she laughed and answered that the parents must have scolded the boy. Realizing that the employee of the sanatorium was not going to do anything, she herself approached the boy and began to find out why he was crying, it turned out that the child, corny, lagged behind his parents in the confusion, got scared and, not knowing what to do, stood and cried. After that, only the administrator deigned to do something. The pump room with mineral water is polluted (garbage, dirt) and despite the fact that the doctor prescribed us to drink mineral water 3 times a day, we did not drink it in the spa pump room. And, as it turned out later, the water from it could be called mineral with a big stretch. Real natural mineral water is warm, but there it is icy, we drank water in the pump room of the sanatorium. Pirogov. The declared free parking for the guests of the sanatorium is not large and only at the entrance to the sanatorium, if there are no places on it, the car can be parked next to the residence building, but for a fee. The sea is far away, again they promised a bus, which turned out to be paid and you need to book a trip in advance in the excursion department at the dining room. The outdoor pool with mineral water also turned out to be paid, the guests of the sanatorium were allowed free of charge only 1 day a week. Despite all the negatives that we had to face, there are still positives. Therefore, I would like to say separately about the employees of the mud baths and the medical building. Wonderful, sincere people, always with a smile, attention and understanding. If it is possible to accept a patient earlier, they always go to a meeting. Thanks to them for their work, always good mood and health to them and their loved ones! From the staff of the dining room, the girl Alexandra (the waitress) really liked all the guests with great attention, she never mixed up anything in orders, she always wishes everyone a good appetite, even pensioners, always grumbling and not happy with everything, said what a wonderful girl. Sasha, keep it up and our best wishes to you!

The complex of treatment there included thalassotherapy, mud was brought from Saki. This year we decided to go to the homeland of mud and did not regret it.
Sanatorium Poltava-Krym is located on a narrow isthmus between the sea and the salt lake. It consists of a large medical building, adjoining large dormitory buildings (standard and comfort rooms) and separate small dormitory buildings and outbuildings (luxury and junior suite rooms), as well as a dining room with a club and administrative building.
Having bought a voucher with treatment, you need to choose one of the proposed treatment programs (musculoskeletal system, gynecology, urology, etc. ). The number of procedures included in the program depends on the duration of the stay. We had vouchers for 14 days, they were supposed to have 6 procedures of 7 types (mud, bath, shower, massage, mechanotherapy, physiotherapy and inhalation). In addition, you can, for additional money, take additional procedures. You can increase the number of already prescribed procedures or expand their range (there is a salt room, underwater massage shower, Charcot shower, cosmetic procedures, sauna ("thermotherapy"), etc. ).
The main reason people go to Saki is, of course, mud! They are mined from a lake 150 meters from the sanatorium and are not spared. If in Belarus the mud was smeared on the back with a thin layer, and, say, you had to pay for the feet separately, then here the mud is poured onto a special table from a thick pipe with a layer of at least 5 cm, you lie down in this mud, you are just smeared with mud, wrapped in several layers (tracing paper, sheet, blanket) and so you lie. Not only pleasant, but also very effective.
Also, an undoubted advantage of the sanatorium is that mechanotherapy classes in the gym are conducted by experienced instructors-rehabilitologists who are able to choose the right set of exercises and the right load for everyone.
Unfortunately, the swimming pool is very small and there is nowhere to swim in it. And there are no hot tubs. You just have to stand and sour. But, on the other hand, the water is mineral. In general, throughout the sanatorium, hot water is mineral, from its own well, it is not recommended to drink it. And cold - ordinary, from the city water supply, of good quality, you can drink without boiling. In baths and showers, to obtain a comfortable temperature, these waters are mixed, and the pool is filled with 100% mineral water, just allowed to cool.
We lived in a "comfort" room SV with an area of .17 sq. m, I would rate it at 3 *. Furniture, plumbing and equipment (refrigerator, TV, mini-safe) are new, in good condition, mattresses with connected springs, carpet on the floor. The disadvantage of the rooms facing the sea (SV) is a very narrow balcony, you can only stand on it. The rooms on the opposite side (GV) have wider balconies, but the balcony furniture was also not visible on them.
We did not enter the rooms of other categories. Judging by the information on the website of the sanatorium, the “standard” rooms differ only in older furniture, etc. (I’m not sure if there is a safe there), while the deluxe rooms are richer and more diverse. Booking. com rates the Poltava-Krym sanatorium at 4.5 *, apparently, this is taking into account the luxury rooms.
Meals are 3 times a day, organized as a buffet. In terms of the variety of dishes, I would rate it at basic 4 *, and in terms of quality it is clearly not Turkey, the legacy of Soviet hospital food is still felt, although there were no clearly inedible dishes with us. There were always 3-6 types of vegetable cuts (cabbage, carrots, potatoes, beets, apples, pumpkin, turnips, seaweed, raw and boiled, in various combinations), 3 types of hot (dumplings or boiled sausage, meat, fish, chicken, both in pieces and in the form of cutlets, which is strange, when the tray ended, another was brought in its place, but not always with the same dish), bread (white, black, gray) and some buns. For breakfast, sliced sausage and cheese, scrambled eggs, milk porridges and pancakes / pancakes were added to this, for lunch - 3-4 types of soup, some pies or donuts with lard and fruits (tangerines or apples), and for dinner - cottage cheese casserole (sometimes just cottage cheese, sometimes with pasta or rice) or dumplings with cottage cheese and curdled milk, fermented baked milk or yogurt. There was always tea in bags (green and black), coffee machines worked for breakfast and dinner (8 types of coffee + hot chocolate), for lunch they gave compote, apple juice and hibiscus, for dinner - jelly. The inhabitants of the luxury rooms were fed in another dining room, I don’t know how and with what.
For 2 weeks, the club held 3 concerts (we liked all the performers except for one violinist - too obvious plywood), several films (the names did not inspire us) and several karaoke evenings (not our genre), all for free. They say that there were supposed to be 4 concerts (2 per week), but the holidays overlapped. In addition, some cultural events were held in a cafe on the territory of the sanatorium, we did not go there and, perhaps, in vain, the reviews for some of them were good. A meeting of the New Year was organized in the dining room with refreshments and a cultural program (4500 per person), neither we nor our friends went there, we preferred to celebrate in a close circle.
When going to this sanatorium, it is worth considering that at street temperatures below +5 degrees C, it becomes cool in the corridors of the medical building and in the dining room, you don’t look like a T-shirt.
Since Soviet times, it has become customary that in the sanatoriums of the Crimea, at least in the warm season, people go to sunbathe. But, when going to a mud resort, we must remember that after the mud during the day you can not take any water procedures, including swimming in the sea!
The territory of the sanatorium is beautifully landscaped, there are mini-ponds with goldfish, a garden labyrinth. A sort of combination of a Botanical Garden in miniature, an English mini-park and a Japanese garden. Between the trees there are several gazebos, probably in the summer you can sit well in them.
LIMITATIONS
A significant disadvantage of the Poltava-Krym sanatorium, compared to Belarus, is that no procedures are allowed here on Sundays, and on Saturdays only mud and baths are released. And the attending physicians do not work on weekends, so if you arrive on Friday evening, then no treatment (except for 1 pearl bath, which is not serious) will be prescribed until Monday. In Belarus, doctors worked in shifts and, if they arrived on a weekend, the person who worked that day was appointed as the attending physician. And the procedures were released 7 days a week, the only exception was January 1. In addition, the control hour system adopted in this sanatorium (8:00-8:00, the first meal is breakfast, the last is dinner) is very inconvenient. In Belarus, check-in was at 13:00 (you get to lunch, see a doctor and schedule procedures), and check-out at 10:00 (you have time to have breakfast), this order corresponds to the generally accepted in the global hotel business and is much more convenient.
As I already wrote, the main advantage of this sanatorium is dirt. Unfortunately, there is no mirror in the shower cabin, where you wash off this dirt from yourself, you have to go into the cabin to undress, look where you haven’t washed it off, and then go to the shower again. They explain that salts settle on the mirrors, but it seems to me that the fact is that ordinary mirrors quickly deteriorate from moisture. Apparently, in the Crimea they still do not know that there are more expensive moisture-resistant mirrors.
The sanatorium Poltava-Krym has its own beach, equipped with awnings and deck chairs. But people treated in it 2 times a year said that they had to sunbathe while lying on some bedding in the sun. The fact is that this beach is popular not only among the inhabitants of neighboring boarding houses and hotels, but also among the residents of the city of Saki. They occupy all the places in the morning and people who come to the beach between procedures or after them have nowhere to stumble. It is clear that according to Russian laws, the administration of the sanatorium does not have the right not to let everyone on the coastline. But she has the right not to allow strangers to use the property of the sanatorium (trestle beds, awnings, umbrellas). Why they don't do this is completely incomprehensible. Maybe save on security guards? Or they don’t know that such schemes work great in many 5-star hotels in Europe (there are all municipal beaches and no one has the right to close access to them, but if the hotel puts up its sunbeds, then outsiders are either not allowed on them at all, or for money)?

There are no complaints about the work of the medical building. Meals are dietary, four times a day. An afternoon snack was served during dinner. The food is more than enough, but I would like more variety. There is a cultural program. You can listen to music, dance, attend psychological trainings. I especially want to note the organization of excursions. During the rest we traveled around most of the peninsula. Cons: neglected, old park, no pool and the most unpleasant - sagging, uncomfortable mattresses on the beds. It was very important for us, because we were treating the musculoskeletal system. Bed linen changed approx. once every seven days. There were problems with changing towels. They were missing. Room cleaning daily. During our vacation, work began on the reconstruction of the mineral water pump room and the pool (or pond) near it. Lake Saki itself is located in close proximity to the sanatorium. I recommend to visit a tour of the park of the sanatorium. Very interesting. I think that in a few years everything will be put in order, swans will swim in the ponds again.

Of course, they were located in the cheapest rooms, but the cleaning certainly wants to be better, the toilets, washbasins are not cleaned, the dust is not wiped off, the carpet is not cleaned. In the dining room Sovdepovskie times, self-service, he came, stood in line for soup, if there is sour cream, then he added it, but in most cases it is not there, poured tea, and then you wait long and hard for the second one to be brought. If you are a little late, then you can be left without the first one, and if there is soup, then there is no bowl or spoon. About treatment, I generally cannot speak without a shudder. This is some kind of parody of everything; A mud cake with a palm on the lower back is all the mud that we were offered, 7 minutes of shoulder massage, if you want a real one, pay 300 rubles, mud is the same 300 rubles and physical education. Here are all the treatments we were offered. When we began to grumble, we were told that you want for free treatment, pay and be treated for health. The sleeping building is located 500-600 meters from the medical one, and going steamed, after a bath to the room, does not quite belong to the treatment. Excursions are all expensive, and they didn’t hear anything about discounts at all. So I would not recommend this resort to anyone. This will be bad for your health.
I forgot to add that the sanatorium was not prepared at all for such a reception of visitors, therefore, in the dining room, you sit in line for mud cakes for 1.5-2 hours, so you constantly get out of the schedule. In general, worse than this sanatorium I have not seen.
And most importantly, instead of the prescribed 18 days of treatment, they provided only 15 days, so carefully monitor this. I don't recommend anyone to go here!! !

The hotel was chosen according to the criterion - high-quality treatment with a comfortable stay.
Met, immediately gave a room and even fed breakfast. The location of the hotel is excellent, the buildings are almost on the beach. They lived in the second building. The room is small, overlooking the sea, clean, has everything you need, except for a kettle and cups, only glasses and a decanter. If you want to drink tea in the evening - go down from the floor to the reception for boiling water (with a decanter!! ). You can’t complain about the cleaning of the rooms, on the contrary, I would like to thank the women who cleaned our second floor (unfortunately, I didn’t recognize their names). The territory of the hotel is small, but well-groomed, there are many flowers, benches and gazebos for relaxation. It's nice to stroll along the promenade in the evening, breathe in the sea air. The sea was already cold, but some were swimming and sunbathing on sunny days. We came to be treated - the sanatorium positions itself as a clinical one.
Now about the treatment. The sanatorium offers three areas of preventive treatment, but we are already aged people with a bunch of diseases. They chose the main direction - the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, as the most disturbing at that moment. I am very satisfied with my treatment - mud, brine baths, physiotherapy, massages, etc. , everything is wonderful. True, some procedures had to be bought separately, which significantly increased the cost of the tour, which was already expensive. But the doctor Shaikovsky A. A. treated her husband’s diseases very casually. The husband arrived with an extract from the hospital - in August he lay with an exacerbation of pancreatitis (plus erosive gastritis, erosive bulbitis), the doctor prescribes him a lumbar massage, mud on the abdomen, physiotherapy, physical education with a load - all this is good for the treatment of arthrosis (which takes place be), but with pancreatitis (as it turns out !! ) in no case is impossible.
As a result, in the last week of his stay, my husband had an exacerbation and upon arrival he again ended up in the hospital. I conclude that there is no individual approach, appointments are made by a doctor in accordance with the main directions of treatment, and he does not pay attention to concomitant diseases, as a result, one heals, and the other cripples. I repeat once again - I am satisfied with my treatment, they guessed right with me with the appointments. My advice to those who go for treatment is to study in detail the procedures offered by the sanatorium in accordance with the directions of treatment and consult with your doctor at home, what he advises you. And finally, the dining room! My husband and I are not picky about food, and the proposed "buffet" did not upset us, in general, you can choose food to your liking, a lot of vegetables, although for some reason main dishes were always taken out to the hall cold (it's somehow unpleasant to eat cold meatballs and chicken).
We were very surprised by the fruits offered - such hard and sour apples and pears, we don’t eat grapes from the "acid - vyrviglaz" series in Siberia, we only cook compote from such. But this is Crimea! Grape harvest in full swing! ! It’s good that there is a small market nearby, even at exorbitant prices, but at least they tried Muscat grapes. And, purely for the management of the sanatorium (if they read our reviews) - if you want to occupy a worthy niche in the sanatorium business - drive the dining room team into the neck !! ! . After seeing the cockroaches running between the pots on the dispensing table, we no longer ate in your dining room, we went to a cafe (fortunately, there were two days left before departure). Yes, I will explain about the pool. Since we were traveling out of season and did not count on swimming in the sea, I contacted the sanatorium, went through the entire Internet - I tried to find out if there would be an opportunity to swim. The sanatorium gives information about the presence of two pools - with sea and mineral water.
In fact, there is a pool with mineral water, the water is very warm + 32 degrees, for a fee as prescribed by a doctor (90 rubles for 30 minutes), small, size somewhere 4 * 12, working Wednesday-Saturday. The impression - when there are few people - is simply wonderful, and when up to 14 people are crowded, then ....you can just flop on the spot, but swim - alas. There is also a second pool, but it is in the sauna and only those who paid for the sauna (700 or 800 rubles for 4 hours) can use it, I don’t know if there is sea water, but I know that it is icy and no one bathes in it, from the sauna come to swim in the pool with min. water (which already increases the number of people swimming in the pool). Again, a question for the management of the sanatorium - what is the point of pouring ice water into the pool? , take a dip after steaming in the sauna? so for this they make a font or hang a barrel of water, since cooling should be fast, and only “walruses” can swim in ice water.
