History of a failed trip
In the wake of patriotic euphoria associated with the return of Crimea to its "native harbour", I, a car travel lover, had an irresistible desire to visit this paradise of our vast motherland.
The matter was small - to persuade the spouse and daughter to go this year not traditionally to the Mediterranean, but to the domestic resort. Moreover, it is by car, so that with your own eyes, and not on TV, you can see all the beauty and uniqueness of the homeland.
The second point is to find a place of deployment on the coast, where one could lie on the beach, and from where one could make short trips to various local attractions.
I didn’t have to persuade family members for a long time, first of all, because neither my daughter nor my wife had ever been to the Crimea, and my enthusiastic childhood memories only fueled their interest in the upcoming trip. And together we began to look for that abode that would welcome the suffering wanderers into its bosom with open arms.
Of course, I understood that such a journey of a good fifteen hundred kilometers poses a certain risk, and in order to avoid problems, it requires careful preparation and responsibility. First of all, responsibility on my part. After all, every motorist knows that anything can happen on the road. And only two girls can help me.
Without further ado, I climbed into Booking, and after a short search, I booked the Comfort apartment for 3 people, for the period from 08/15/2015 to 08/28/2015 (13 nights), in the Kanaka Lux boarding house, costing 42.672 rub. (Which corresponds to 741 euros at the exchange rate on the day of booking, which is approximately 3282 rubles 50 kopecks per night).

Booking worked like lightning, confirming the booking and providing the booking number (400.398. 090) and pin code. In high spirits, I waited for the administration of the property to contact me under the terms of Booking…
On the second day, the waiting ceased to be languid and, using the appropriate form on the Booking website, I expressed my bewilderment to the Support Service.
A "kick" followed from Booking, and two days later I received a letter from the representative of the boarding house, Gnidina Irina Anatolyevna. In the letter, she apologized for the delay in responding and about her readiness to provide all the information of interest by phone. Naturally, I should have initiated the call.
In a response letter, I hinted to Irina Anatolyevna that information about booking confirmation throughout the civilized world is provided (confirmed) by e-mail. This is at least some guarantee for the parties to fulfill their obligations.
In response, I was told that an agreement is concluded with all clients, the number costs 5800 rubles. per night (for a period of 75.400 rubles), and for further communication it is better to leave the Booking website!
To be honest, I was shocked by such impudence! But having calmed down a little, he decided to continue the conversation, hoping that I didn’t understand something.
Over the next week, there were epistolary “butts” between me and Irina Anatolyevna, who did not want to recognize the price tag for the services of her establishment displayed on Booking. And I allowed myself to disappear for days and not respond to my messages. Probably parka, season!
Finally, we came to an agreement that our stay in the specified room for the specified period would cost 741 euros. Moreover, an advance payment for two days will be transferred in rubles through Unistream to a private person (! ). And the rest - cash in euros upon arrival (! ). Although, according to the terms of Booking, payment is made through plastic in the national currency.
OK. If people haven't rebuilt yet and think that Crimea is Europe, I won't upset them, let them be euro cash.
It's time to move on to signing the contract.
Having received the "fish" of the contract from Irina Anatolyevna, I indicated all the necessary data about myself and my family members, corrected the incorrectly spelled out Booking conditions for a refund in case of cancellation of the booking (from the Booking website), and, correcting grammatical errors, sent the contract to signing with a request to return the scan with a signature and a seal to me.
According to the established tradition, Irina Anatolyevna disappeared for a day, but I still received an answer. I do not want to comment on it, I present the source:
"Hello Dmitry.
A lot of work, the internet didn't work for two days.
Your contract has been received. I do not have the opportunity to sign it, because. I am 40 km away from any scan.
This contract is ours and there is no need to amend anything. Either you agree to our terms or you don't.
But, by the way, is it possible for you to really listen to your wife and go on vacation to the Mediterranean?
