The choice fell on Ordzhonikidze thanks to the Internet. On the so-called official website of the village of Ordzhonikidze, you will not find a single bad review about the village itself and about housing.
As the site writes to us, Ordzhonikidze has more than 15 beaches, is washed by the sea from 3 sides, has a developed infrastructure, the cleanest beaches in Crimea and everyone (without exception) who has been there, fell in love with this place, and definitely want to return there.
In fact, once you get to Ordzhonikidze, you have a persistent feeling that you have returned to the last century. In the center there are shabby panel houses, there are 3-5 shops for the whole village. I saw 1 exchanger and they say there is a pharmacy. There is nowhere to eat, 3 cafes near the waterfront and pizza to go. The central promenade and the beach are narrow and short. The vaunted beach on the two-anchor bay turned out to be smelly (it stinks) covered with mud.
Now about housing.
As we were told by the same official website of the village of Ordzhonikidze, the best offer for rent is a private cottage (I remember and it’s funny and I want to cry) “Nautilus” at st. Sadovaya-28.
Here it is necessary to make a digression and talk about the fact that the "official" site of the village of Ordzhonikidze actually belongs to the owners of this cottage "Nautilus", which is on the street. Sadovaya 28.
So on the Internet on the website of this "cottage" I saw photos of chic, bright rooms that had spacious beds, a separate kitchen, a safe and all other amenities. As I understood later, all the photos were taken with a wide-angle lens with a good flash. The cost of such a 3-bed, comfortable room with all amenities in July 2011 was 520 UAH. (1925 rubles) per day. The hosts ask for payment for the reservation via the Internet 2 days in advance. Upon check-in, if you are not satisfied with the room, the reservation is not refundable!
When I crossed the threshold of my room, I felt like a complete fool who was cruelly deceived. The difference between the photo on the website and reality is enormous! This comfortable room turned out to be in fact (nothing to even compare with) a utility room in the likeness of a barn. Instead of windows, small loopholes. The kitchen is a cupboard with assorted dishes (ala 70s) and a small burner located in the corridor between the room and the toilet. Instead of beds, an old sagging sofa. But the most interesting thing is the third place - this is the same old armchair, which, if expanded, leaves no room in the room.
The vaunted advantages in the form of hot water (which was barely warm), remoteness from cafes (the house itself is located on a summer cottage without roads and sidewalks), a separate kitchen, etc. turned out to be in fact a common lure for gullible people like me.
Almost forgot! NO AIR CONDITIONER! (520 UAH per day)
So that the review does not seem subjective, I want to note the positive points that I liked. I can't say enough good things about the village. This is not a resort place. Better Feodosiya or Koktebel. About the private cottage "Nautilus", on the street. Sadovaya, 28 - a very cozy courtyard. Really shady and green. In principle, at a cost of a maximum of 250 UAH. for a room per day, I think many (not me for sure) would be satisfied with this option.
Advice to doubters. If you choose where to go on the Internet, look for sites where there are different reviews. If you see only positive reviews, then 100% that most of them are written by local residents.
Igor and Tanya. I am not tormented by conscience for this review, tk. I think that you have deceived me. Use conscientious, honest advertising. Objectively, I tell you that your cottage is not worth the money you want!
