Rested from 05/17/14 to 05/25/14 in room 42 (standard, sea view). Overall impression: excellent value for money, very satisfied with both the hotel (location, facilities, service, options) and the restaurant (quality, menu variety, portion sizes, courtesy, attentiveness, location, opening hours) and the spa (menu services, professionalism of massage therapists, friendliness, prices, work schedule). Positive experience better than expected! 12 points out of 10 possible! Further details (be careful, a lot of letters).
Hotel. For lovers of a quiet relaxing holiday, the hotel is well located on the first line (there are really 30 meters between it and the sea, there is no street, no night bars and discos) in a quiet corner of Big Yalta (almost at the junction of the Rossiya sanatorium park in Yalta and the Livadia Palace park), within walking distance to the yalta embankment (20 minutes along the sea), the beach is pebbly, with comfortable capital stairs. Quite intelligently designed.
Cons (all of them are tolerable, small, I'll be pretty picky here):

- a small parking lot on a patch before a sharp rise from the reception up to the hotel gate (taxi is not always allowed there, but you can go down to the reception by elevator through the mini-entrance and the 4th floor of the main tower),
- unsuccessful ventilation system in the toilet room with damp smells from the spa (but easy to deal with, leaving the forced ventilation of the bathroom turned on all day),
- only one elevator in each building (which is not a problem in the five-story building where I lived, but takes a little time in the nine-story main tower),
- occupy almost the entire land plot with buildings (little greenery),
- passage from building to building either along the street or through the restaurant (in the daytime even through the pool), which is not a problem in dry weather,
- not much attention is paid to the purity of the water in the outdoor pool on the roof (seagulls! ).
Pros:
- the compactness of the hotel,
- spacious rooms with a good view of the sea (even many of the rooms are very much of an economy class), despite the fact that there is no crowding, there is no feeling that you are now being spied on from the window of a neighboring building,
- all new furniture (the hotel opened in May 2012),
- the balconies are correctly designed (I slept at night in a wild downpour with an open window, but not only the room, but even the balcony did not flood),
- an amazing find - an outdoor pool and a banquet hall on the 9th floor (rooftop with a panoramic view), where I ordered the delivery of a farewell dinner,
- remarkably polite employees (administrators, security guards and maids),
- an amazing director (Igor Timofeevich - a hunter, storyteller and good-natured Host, similar to the living Hemingway), my special respect to you,
- quick call for a taxi and fulfillment of other requests (cleaning, washing / ironing, delivery of a bouquet from Yalta, sending high-quality photos of my room and hotel to my email address for subsequent inclusion in a photo album on the trip, checking me in for a flight to the right seat on the plane, etc. d. ),
- capacious multi-level parking for cars of vacationers,

- a luxurious three-story villa with its own mini-park on the roof of a five-story building (pay attention to who is traveling in a large company).
Restaurant (every morning I went to breakfast "Swedish table", almost every evening I dined on the menu). This is a wonderful restaurant! I say this with knowledge of the matter, since many years ago I myself managed a small cafe, and then at another job I visited many cafes and restaurants in Moscow. The restaurant is located in a large hall (there is also a mini-hall, as well as a banquet hall on the roof of the main tower), has a huge terrace overlooking the sea, similar to the deck of a sea liner (the best place for dinner).
Pros:
- polite, attentive, efficient, sincere, sensitive to the requests of the visitor staff (administrators, waiters, cooks),
- a varied (every day) and hearty menu (even at the "Swedish table", although the hotel was barely full in May, but the restaurant "did not lower the bar" - I can compare with the "Swedish table" in Turkish and Parisian hotels, hotels in Moscow and others Russian cities).
Minus (the only one): the menu did not have a replaceable stomach to pee in the restaurant longer. : )
A few stories in order to appreciate the work of the restaurant staff.
1. I don't like bones and thick skins in fruit salads. I order a fruit salad, but I explain to the waiter that I don’t want to see oranges, grapes (except quiche-mish), or green sour apples there (but I agree to pay at the price of the menu). The waiter at first assures me that they have grapes, just quiche-mish, but five minutes later he comes up and apologizes: he was mistaken. I ask you to simply eliminate the grapes and bring me the order as soon as possible. After about 15 minutes (I'm already beginning to wonder about the waiting time) he brings me a plate in which I see not only peeled and oranges, but also grapes. I understand: the cooks cut EVERY grape in half and took out the seeds from it!

2. I love tomato juice with every hot meal at any time of the day. At the very first breakfast, I discover: it is not on the breakfast buffet menu (of course, at a price of 220 rubles, this is normal) and in general in the kitchen (Sunday morning, so everything is explainable). I ask the administrator of the hall to purchase a batch of tomato juice so that during my week-long stay it is always available, and I can get a glass of juice for a fee (I immediately give 1.000 rubles in bulk "with a margin"). The administrator in front of me calls an employee who is in Yalta for purchases, asking me to take a few packages. From that moment on, at any of my breakfasts, the waiter on duty (no matter whose shift) brought me a glass of tomato juice just a couple of minutes after I appeared in the restaurant (there was always juice at dinner).
3. On an unexpectedly cold and windy evening (in the middle of May, as it turned out, this sometimes happens even in Yalta), I am going to have dinner on the open balustrade of the restaurant. I ask the waitress to bring me a blanket. She returns with two multi-colored blankets, apologizes ("regular" restaurant blankets - due to the onset of summer - have just been sent for washing) and offers to take these brought blankets, which are used, if necessary, by herself and her colleague (it seems they were personal blankets, not "restaurant").
And such stories happened almost every day!
Taking this opportunity, I once again bow low for the amazing hospitality to all the restaurant staff - Rimma Esimovna, Alena, Elena, Tatyana Yuryevna, Larisa Sergeevna, Evgeny, Elvin, Tatyana, Lenar, Olga list them all by name).
The spa center (for hotel guests visiting is free, for those who come to it specially the entrance is about 600 rubles a day), it also includes a "health bar" inside the complex and an "evening" bar at the entrance to the restaurant. I specifically chose a hotel with its own spa, including a heated saltwater pool, and visited it almost every day.
Cons: sports and beautiful administrators Alina and Timur refuse to be photographed with regular visitors, they are terribly embarrassed to take tips, and there is no pilling with fish (this, of course, is not nitpicking, this is my kind of humor). Seriously, on the first day the pool turned out to be colder than expected (about +20/+22 instead of the promised +26, but the next morning the situation was corrected), besides, the Japanese font did not work.
Pros:
- A wide variety of spa menus (both included in the general visit package and provided for a separate fee: I went to the bath with valerian and hydro-massage, did a general massage in the hammam and massage room, both specialists Mikhail and Konstantin),

- Very attentive attitude towards visitors of the staff and, in particular, the head of the center, Marina Yuryevna (she not only sat at the computer in her office, but during the period of a large influx of visitors at the reception desk, she herself, together with Alina or Timur, received visitors and gave out towels and sheets , and when there were suddenly a lot of us at once in the "health bar", she helped her employee pour tea, make fresh juices, clean up the empty tables),
- Large space for relaxation (a lot of space, sun loungers, tables, showers, benches, hangers, cabinets and racks for personal belongings), convenient access directly to the sea.
Special words of gratitude to the bartender Vasily (it so happened that I never crossed paths with his replacement). Cheerful, smart, friendly, versed in drinks and cocktail recipes, resourceful, he became another face of the hotel for me. Almost immediately, I entrusted him to independently select alcohol for my dinners (the waiter, at my request, told him the list of ordered dishes), and he never failed. Also, on his day off (he arrived at the hotel early to chill with a friend before his evening shift), he helped me take a set of good photos in the hotel's recreational area and on the beach.
My overall experience with the hotel, restaurant and spa is the best. Minor flaws - a temporary matter (the hotel is young), fixable. I am sure that I will be happy to come back to the spa hotel "Livadiysky" for a vacation, and I wish you the same.
Sincerely,
Oleg Makushev, Moscow, 05/31/14.
PS I understand that such a large (and mostly flattering) review may seem "custom" to readers, written at the request of the administration by a hired person. This is not true. I am an ordinary person who believes that not only bad, but also good should be noticed and noted. If suddenly some information on the hotel was not enough, here is my email address for more information: makol2003@mail. ru
I will be sincerely glad if the hotel (including the restaurant and spa center) manages to show its best side not only to me, but also to every guest who has chosen his hospitality.
