So, Crimea, Ai-Petri sanatorium in September-October 2009.
I must say right away that everything that is written in numerous prospectuses and on websites is true.
An excellent medical base: massage, baths, foot baths, tooth baths, oxygen baths, ozonated baths, 3 types of showers, and even those procedures that I, tempted by disability, have never heard of - how do you like "hydrocolonotherapy" ? . My friend's gums were practically cured, however, it cost her several hundred hryvnias. A magnificent phytobar - more than 8 varieties of tea that helps with everything from neurosis to digestion. For an additional fee (2-3 hryvnia), however.
A good dietary menu of the dining room, for those living in suites - a buffet.
The magnificent subtropical climate of Koreiz with an abundance of tropical plants emitting oxygen, phytoncides, and God knows what else.

Lovely, thoughtfully prepared suites. The first spa in my practice that had enough power for all devices! Air conditioners in the room, working! Not only for cold, but also for heating! 2 balconies - separate from the living room and separate from the bedroom!
Therapeutic beach, spacious, with sun loungers and awnings.
And it is not so important whether it is 11 km from Yalta or still 15... Finally, the system of excursions began to work effectively in the Crimea (which did not exist at all 2 years ago. We were served by "Pilgrim" - the fan of excursions was extensive : an observatory with a display of the Moon and Jupiter, Ai-Petri mountain (with climbing for especially physically developed people), Bakhchisarai, Caves, the Grand Canyon, Massandra wines - this year the full list includes more than a dozen items.
Everything seems to be great. Those who know and read me are waiting for "BUT"...
Yes, there is a "BUT". And such "buts" that no wine, no beach, no procedures are needed anymore.
1. Objective and complete information becomes available only AFTER moving into the sanatorium, on the second page of the sanatorium booklet, where the plan of the sanatorium is given (I provide a snapshot of this page). In order for me, a disabled heart of the 2nd group, to make an urgent ECG, I have to GO ON WALK TO THE 5TH FLOOR! And just to eat, you need to climb EVERY DAY 3 TIMES TO THE 8TH FLOOR, because the 3-storey building, in which the club and the dining room, is exactly at such a height from the foot of building 10. Even my young and light-footed companion, for whom it is not a problem at all I had to run 5 km in the afternoon to the foot of Ai-Petri on impassable roads, needles, clay and windbreak, and the same amount back, from the second day I started going to the dining room only 2 times. According to my observations, others did the same, skipping breakfast, some dinner.

2. Phytoncides, apparently, do exist. However, for subtropical fluids, it turns out that subtropical temperatures are also needed - from +26 and above. And in late September - early October, there, alas, from +14 to +22 during the day... with, although not strong, but annoyingly constant cold wind, so thanks for the air conditioner, it worked for heating almost all day.
3. The crisis, it turns out, is also a crisis in Crimea. Saving heavily on staff. Our maid (luxury! ) was well over 60, she had 22 rooms to clean, and the first thing she did upon meeting was to complain about her flux... So you can forget about the Do Not Disturb signs immediately and forever. Your number will be cleaned when it is convenient for them, at any hour from 8 to 16, but they don’t care about you. Well, since this is the Crimea, and not the Baltic States, while cleaning the room, half the floor will constantly come to your maid to resolve current issues. And there are a lot of questions: we, for example, had to change the electric kettle 3 times, because. none worked for more than two hours. By the way, these red-green signs "Do not disturb - please remove" do not exist at all.
Against the background of the location of the dining room, all other shortcomings seem like a trifle. The pool, for example, starts working if the air is less than +18 during the day, so we never saw it in 2 weeks. Sunbeds on the beach are tightly attached under awnings. In short, this sanatorium, magnificent in its medical base, is good for young people. And by the way, she is present there - however, often with children.
This sanatorium was chosen for me as the one in which there is only 50m from the building to the beach. Yes it's true! But not all. These 50m are horizontal. Vertically there, according to my companion, almost like in the dining room...
I don't want to end on a bad note. It was, it was a great moment. I saw the real Jupiter for the first time in my incomplete 60 through a telescope! And I saw the laser location of special satellites to accurately measure the distribution of gravitational masses (this, by the way, so that the rockets fly where they need to! ). It's so interesting that even blondes watched all this for an hour and a half, clanging their teeth from the cold (in the mountains +8).

Many thanks to the administration and staff of the sanatorium (it doesn’t matter to whom specifically, I assure you, they remembered me well): they still brought me food. But I won't go there again.
