Just returned from a holiday in Kanaka. We were there for the first time, we went on the advice of friends who have been vacationing there for 5 years in a row. The place is wonderful, try to find such a beach in the Crimea in summer!! ! a couple of kilometers long and about 100 meters wide. You lie quietly to yourself, you don’t sniff anyone’s heels. The beach itself is sandy, closer to the water it turns into pebble. For some it might be hard to enter the water, but they sell swimming shoes everywhere - so it's not a problem. The sea is clean, a couple of times after the "bottom line" nailed jellyfish. The beach area is also clean, there are garbage cans, they take it out every day, no unsanitary conditions. The territory of the boarding house is regularly cleaned in the morning, and garbage is taken out during the day. We lived in cottage 29 (this is the farthest from the sea near the dining room). Near each separate entrance there is a gazebo, or just a table with an umbrella + 2 benches, barbecue grills. From our room to the sea 200 meters (well, it's a couple of minutes at a leisurely pace), we ate in the canteen. Standard room: double and single beds, bedside tables, wardrobe, TV and air conditioning. The TV caught 4 analog channels, none of them worked properly, so consider that there is no TV : -) The air conditioner is "window", in my opinion it makes more noise than cold : ) We used it a couple of times. I was disappointed by the lack of showers: the water spread over the floor, flowing out of the restroom, it was a little annoying. Children slipped on tiles. Water heating tank 100l. There has always been water. But the rooms are all different (apparently it depends on the owner, the owner), some houses have solar heaters, satellite dishes), but I think the price is different. I can't speak for sure about the food. . . everything seems to be fine, the food is the usual canteen, maybe the portions are a little small for someone (depending on how it is, but I heard that this was what upset many). For me, there was another problem: we were with a 1.5-year-old child and it was hard for me to feed him. Since they practically didn’t give porridge in the dining room, a couple of times in the morning they gave milk oatmeal for dinner, and always cutlets and salads. Saved only by mashed potatoes. Every other day they gave peaches and plums for lunch. In the evening we went for a walk on the territory of the Kanaka boarding house, there is a good embankment, a lot of entertainment. What I didn’t like was the exorbitant prices at the market and in stores! So, as they say, stock up on water, salt, sugar and everything that can fit in your car! the weather is not always sunny (although we were very lucky with it). There is a pharmacy, but the prices are again!! ! A mountain serpentine leads to Kanaka, the children are very sick, we drove through Sudak, then only 20 km along the serpentine, and if through Alushta, then all the time along the serpentine. In general, we were very satisfied with the rest!

The whole family decided to get out on vacation in a picturesque place. the only thing they did not deceive in the agency was that it would be a quiet vacation (and it really was like that, the entertainment infrastructure is absolutely not developed). The service is, of course, zero! but of course the nature is excellent! the water is clean, the beach is free, the heady aroma of cypress and juniper is in the air.

If you are really considering whether to go there to rest, read this review. Had to go there last year. Perhaps the situation has changed this year... but... When we bought a ticket at the agency, nothing foreshadowed trouble (we were warned that the place is very quiet and peaceful, that is, the entertainment infrastructure is underdeveloped), but all conditions for a good rest are created.

If you are really considering whether to go there to rest, read this review. Had to go there last year. Perhaps the situation has changed this year... but... When we bought a ticket at the agency, nothing foreshadowed trouble (we were warned that the place is very quiet and peaceful, that is, the entertainment infrastructure is underdeveloped), but all conditions for a good rest are created. We paid for accommodation, food, medical insurance and went on vacation.
Now about the rest itself in order:
About the territory - far from being cleaned every day - huge picturesque mountains of garbage attracted the eye and not only... ; rabid animals (during the period of my vacation, one vacationer was bitten, because of the remoteness from civilization, the ambulance refused to come, and the doctors of the recreation center said that the vacationers could not help, they took a taxi and drove at their own expense).
The place really turned out to be very quiet, calm and very remote from civilization (150 UAH by taxi or boat to Alushta or by minibus, which went several times a day (it was clearly not enough based on the number of people)).
About water - sometimes cold and hot too, if it managed to fill up and warm up (I plunged into the sea, but I couldn’t wash off the salt, so we were afraid to become a ram)))) for our own personal needs, people went to draw water in the sea, since it was close) )))
AND ELECTRICITY WAS NOT ALWAYS.
They made fun of the beach - “well-maintained” - it must be seen (although it’s better not to) how it was landscaped in the heyday of Soviet times, since then everything has remained in a state untouched by human hands.
About nutrition - a quiet horror. Our men left hungry. Meals under the motto "not a day without pasta". They cooked badly. But on the beach there was a very good cafe, where barbecue was cooked just fine (and quite inexpensively).
About the problems - the constant theft of their numbers !! ! There is no security at the base!
About the staff and administration - I have never seen such rudeness! According to the director of the base, these were all “our problems”
ON THE POSITIVE: there was something that a person could not yet spoil with his own hands - nature, it is really wonderful (very clean sea, wonderful air, just gorgeous cypresses). But if you just want to relax in nature, then the option with tents would not be worse (I had a rest, I know! ))
And remember: rest is given to a person once a year!
