This year we decided to rest in the Gaspra-Miskhor area. I've only been in the area for tours. I started looking for housing and realized that housing here is expensive, although comfortable. In June, the advertisement of the sanatorium "Yasnaya Polyana" began to come to them on vacation. They also have their own website. And although for the last 5 years there have been only bad reviews about the resort, we took a chance, and the price of accommodation - food - cable car - beach was acceptable. Managers of the resort answered all questions very promptly. I booked a room without prepayment, of course, I took a risk, we went during the peak season, but they assured me that everything would be fine. Somewhere in July, there was information about the raider seizure and the opening of criminal cases by the prosecutor's office, but the managers reassured me again, they said that this applies to those territories that have already been destroyed and alienated.
We were in Simferopol at 7 am, and at 7.30 we had already left for Yalta. Tickets were bought quickly at the box office for a minibus - 27 UAH 32 kopecks. They constantly announced not to take risks and not to travel by private transportation. After 2 hours we were in Yalta, and here it was very difficult to take a direct minibus number 26 directly to the sanatorium - a huge queue! It takes 30-40 minutes to drive, the driver announced all the stops several times. Entrance to the territory of the sanatorium is free, the administrative building is Panina's palace, an old beautiful building. They received us kindly, immediately found a reservation in the computer, even took into account the wishes - not the first floor and overlooking the sea. We lived on the 4th floor. This is a normal standard room, they have superior rooms but booked from May to September inclusive. We were given coupons for accommodation, food, and a day later magnetic cards for the cable car (the deposit for the card is UAH 30, the money is returned upon departure). From the administrative building to building number 1 go down the stairs.
The room is spacious, furniture from the 80s, TV, refrigerator and a chic balcony overlooking the sea! But the bathroom is terrible! But we were ready for it. The water is cold all the time, hot in our arrival from 7.30 to 8.30 and from 21.00 to 22.00. During the day, bottles of water were left on the balcony and after the beach they took a “bottle” shower. The attitude of the staff is excellent, all requests and questions were resolved very quickly, kindly, without tantrums and screams, which is rare in our cruel time, especially on the South Coast.

Meals are ordered, portions for adults are small, children's food differs from the adult menu and is not ordered, few vegetables, peaches gave greenish (why buy these in season? ). The first without meat, the second - rice, pasta, potatoes, cutlets almost from bread, small pieces of chicken or fish. For dinner they gave kefir. And somehow it was sometimes tasteless. The dining room is like a steam room, although there are ceiling fans. But they don't help much. It is a pity that there is no cafe on the territory of the sanatorium, the cafe "Alexandria" is closed, they promise to open it next year.
There is a cable car to the beach, but we only went up the cable car and went down on foot. There is a gentle descent to Marat, we passed the house “with a cockerel” without steps, and then we went through the sanatorium “Ukraine” (entrance is free, and the first time the guard went with us to show us the way to the beach, so that it was pleasant and surprising! ) There are already steep steps, but you get out next to the wooden sun loungers of the sanatorium on the embankment. The cable car for strangers is paid - 15 UAH for descent and 20 UAH for ascent, which every day for a family will be unprofitable. They went to the beach early in the morning, passed by a small market, where on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays they sold products from the Bakhchisarai region, but only from 6 in the morning, and at 10 in the morning everything was sold. The locals lined up. Milk - UAH 8 liter, sour cream - UAH 2.0. 5 l, cottage cheese - UAH 1.0. 5 kg; vegetables and fruits are also cheaper. We bought gorgeous peaches for 14 UAH, pink tomatoes for 7 UAH (in Simferopol, on the market near the railway station, these were sold for 15 UAH). You could also buy meat, fish and eggs from them.
The beach of the sanatorium is small, for 300 vacationers it is small, pebbles were brought in in the spring, it is not yet small everywhere. There is practically no shady zone on the beach, in a storm they hid on deck chairs on the embankment, in calm weather under the canopy of the “Deck” cafe, but water and beer sometimes poured from there. The first week there was a storm, thunderstorm and heavy showers, then calm, sea +25, air +28-30, the sea is clean and transparent in the morning, then jellyfish, algae, garbage, some kind of white foam. The beach is cleaned in the morning, but by the evening there are a lot of plastic glasses from beer, peach pits and other garbage on the beach. Vacationers did it! There is no smoking on the beach, but our people are looking for corners to smoke and not to climb from the beach to smoking areas. The guards make remarks. For vacationers not in the sanatoriums on the "Marat" and the sanatorium "Ukraine" there are 2 compartments each, where they are allowed on paid guest cards, which can be obtained from the owners and in the Gaspra apartment bureau. On the waterfront there are cafes, beach safes, toilets, changing rooms.
The park of the sanatorium is practically destroyed, abandoned and a lot of garbage. But the air near the sanatorium is wonderful, one breathes easily and differs from the air below near the Marat, where the gas pollution is strong.

The resort has free tours. We visited the Yusupov Palace, the Swallow's Nest, the Dnieper sanatorium - Cape Ai-Todor, Miskhor - a park, a mermaid, an embankment, a Sunny path 2.5 km one way to the observation deck on the South Coast towards the Bear Mountain. It is unfortunate that the Solar Path is almost destroyed, a lot of garbage.
We were in the Old Spring cafe, now there are 2 of them - an old one with a small hall and a new one, a larger hall, but everything is almost busy in the evening, they come to dine from Yalta, tables must be booked. I liked pasties, manti. Pilaf is cooked better in Yalta on the market and 2 times cheaper. Fish dishes are better not to take, not tasty! The prices are high. Restaurant "U Teschi" - in the Ukrainian style, the prices are high, but the dishes are prepared "without a soul", they are far from real "mother-in-law's pancakes".
We went to Gurzuf for a walk, went to the coffee shop "Boulevard", enjoyed coffee and charlotte, which simply melted in your mouth. Even though the prices are high, it's worth it!
The wine was once taken in a store in Koreiz Massandra, only the Massandrovskaya label, rubbish is still the same. Once again convinced - a lot of fakes. I don’t understand, but what then is sold on tap? True, in Gurzuf, in a store near the city hospital, they bought Solnechnaya Dolina dry red wine - 50 UAH - just wonderful, my husband bought Magarach cognac there, it was also excellent.
Everyone scared us that in the children's sanatorium the children would not let us rest, there would be a lot of noise, squealing, screaming. But I wouldn't say so. The children were noisy until 21.00, and then everything fell silent and it was quiet, but sometimes the adults who were returning from the disco in the morning were very noisy. Yes, and vouchers are now sold not only to mothers with children, but also to adults without children, many organizations have paid vacations for their employees and now many young people, aunts, uncles, grandparents without children are resting.
How would I rate my vacation? Only positively, despite many shortcomings, all the same, the sea, air, beauty conquers all negativity, but we knew and were ready for the fact that we were not going to a 5-star hotel, so we got only a positive charge from the rest.
