First of all, I would like to note the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. The question asked through the form on the site was answered quickly and comprehensively. And the girls at the reception were always kind and helpful - given that my check-in was accompanied by a real emergency (although this can certainly happen in any hotel). From the available rooms I chose a cheap single, with amenities in the block; there are no more expensive singles in the motel, but I didn’t want to overpay for a double. I just arrived, unpacked my things, got ready for a shower - I can’t get out of the room: the lock is jammed. On the mobile at that moment, "very handy" ran out of money, and there are no buttons for contacting the reception in the room. I had to knock and shout until they came (it took at least 30 minutes). The problem with the lock was recognized, and, after my refusal to move to another room (I didn’t want to pack and take things apart again), they began to decide. Of course, such efficiency is only a plus, but I think it is desirable for any vacationer to have an outsider work in the room in his or her absence (for example, you want to change clothes). Nobody asked about it. Anyway, the lock was repaired, as a bonus they provided a free kettle (actually, this service is paid, but inexpensive, less than 20 rubles per day). The room is clean, even cozy, the bed is comfortable, the furniture is new. True, the lack of windows did not please. Rooms with private facilities in the block are located on the ground floor, and in the evenings the room is very stuffy (despite the fact that I had a rest in September, there was no heat, so the lack of air conditioning did not disturb). And if each of the rooms on the second floor has its own balcony, then here, in order to ventilate, it was necessary to open the door "to the street", that is, to the territory of the motel, where cars pass by, people walk... Closer to morning, on the contrary, it became cool - but in this case, the room is provided (to choose from! ) as many as two blankets, synthetic winterizer and woolen. Amenities in the block, unfortunately, did not please. Yes, of course, cleaning is done every day (I saw it myself), one combined bathroom and, if I'm not mistaken, two toilet cubicles fall on two or three rooms, and there are no queues. But, when you come to the combined bathroom in the evening to take a shower, it is impossible not to feel the specific smell of the toilet. Maybe it makes sense to clean these common areas more often? By the way, the locks in these bathrooms are kind of wobbly. I think if you pull the locked door, it will open. Fortunately, there were no people willing to do this trick.
Yes, the view from the veranda of the cafe is really amazing. And the staff would like to wish greater efficiency, not only in the evening influx of guests, but also in the daytime. Politeness, responsiveness - on top. By the way, for some reason in the cafe at the motel there is no such service as selling food (at least some dishes) to take away. I think many guests would like this option.
Those who do not travel by car should take into account that the motel will have to climb the stairs uphill for about ten minutes. This is a wonderful exercise, and everything would be great if in the evenings this staircase, rather middle-aged (the steps are falling apart in places), was lit up. In total darkness, it’s not only scary to stumble: there are several completely empty, apparently ready for demolition, houses nearby (there are many of them in Balaklava). It is clear that this claim - not to the hotel. But I would like to warn vacationers: stock up on flashlights and a bodyguard - you will like everything else, and what you don’t like can be settled.
