But let's go in order: the line is not the first, to the sea you need to bypass 2 recreation centers and a cafe. The road to the sea is a dirt road. Breathe in the dust of the primer while you go to the sea - add. service).
Photos do not correspond to reality. In fact, everything is old, dull, repaired many times. The whole territory is in the web.
The rooms are not cleaned well. There is sand under the bed and a pile of dust and cobwebs in the corners. The bathroom is rusty and moldy.
Swimming pool with muddy water, disdain to swim. The tile is broken, you can get hurt.
Cafe: they promised a children's menu. He is not. There is no variety, there are several items on the menu and that's it. A photo of the menu is attached.
The cafe operates illegally. This type of activity is not open in the KVED list.
I would rate minus 20.
If you value your health, don't go here.
Let's start in order. I booked back in March, because I know how quickly places are sorted out during the season. I was looking for a two-room suite, as we have two small children (2 and 3 years old) who needed to be separated for a restful sleep. And so I found something that suited me very well according to the description - a two-room junior suite in the Karolinka-2 hotel. Having phoned the director of the complex, I found out all the questions that interested me. He assured me that this room would be ideal for families with small children, he said that it would be possible to arrange a transfer from the Odessa railway station. I immediately transferred the prepayment to the card and clarified that it had been received. Everything was OK.
Now it's time to pack my suitcase, I decided to call to find out if I need to take towels, a hairdryer with me, and arrange a transfer. I call at 7 pm. The girl says that she is now accommodating guests and will call back when she gets to the reception. I waited until 9.30, but no one called me back. They didn't pick up the phone themselves. I called the next day in the morning (departure day). There was no response to my words that they promised to call me back, and no one called back. They said not to take towels, a hair dryer - that's all they give out. As for the transfer, they said that they have only one driver, so go yourself either by bus or by train (fortunately, they told where to get on and off - it turned out to be quite simple on the train). I was also interested in the question of whether it makes sense for us to come right after the train (arrival in Odessa at 6 am), or it is better to take a walk somewhere in Odessa and arrive at the settlement, which they have at 2 pm, because it is not very convenient to sit on suitcases with small children. To which I was told that we can come right away, since our room will be free, and we can immediately check in. On this beautiful note, we gathered the children and hit the road.
Upon arrival in the morning at 8.30 in Karolinka at the reception, we were met by a not very friendly administrator who said that our room was occupied, and what we want is check-in at 14.00. When I told about our conversation the day before with one of their girls, they answered me - "This cannot be, you could not have been promised this. " Well, since we are with children, we were offered to leave things in another uncleaned room and were given one bed so that we could put someone to sleep if necessary, and promised to clean our room as soon as possible. Further, during checkout, they demanded confirmation of the prepayment, which made me extremely angry, because, firstly, no one said that you need to save some kind of receipt or screenshot of the payment that was made in March, and secondly, after payment, I clarified from the director on receipt. My screenshot was saved in the correspondence, so I presented it, but what if I deleted it or changed my phone? How would I prove it? You need to be warned about these things.
As a result, our room was cleaned for 5 hours, because they called us to check in at 14.10. The mood was already very "rosy", but we still did not know what was ahead of us. And our Junior Suite was waiting for us! To get into it, we were taken outside the hotel, outside the gate. And so we go to some kind of utility yard, or a parking lot - because there are cars parked there, and geese are running around, the gates are wide open - that is, a child can easily run out and run along the streets of Zatoka.
And here it is our room on the first floor with access to all this beauty. Now about the number. The room consisted of 2 rooms, a small corridor and a bathroom. In one room there are 3 beds, there was a TV, a wardrobe, and a safe. In another folding sofa, on which I slept with a child and once still crawled on the floor, because it is not intended for two people, but it is still normal with a child. There was also a single bed that we didn't use, a table with chairs and a fridge. There was no TV and air conditioning in this room, but there was some kind of metal block plugged into the socket, which periodically beeped terribly, and woke my child a couple of times, after which I turned it off. As they explained to me, there was a gate next to our window, and this block was responsible for the operation of the magnetic keys, every time someone applied the key, this thing squeaked. Worried about the comfort of vacationers - do not say anything. The interior doors are old, the handles barely hold on to them, the doors themselves creak. And in general the room looked very miserable, the language does not turn to call it Junior Suite. The bathroom is all dirty, the mixer in the shower fell off, but we learned how to use it. The bathroom door didn't close at all. The outlet in the toilet hung at the level of the children, pulled out next to the switch, which in the dark constantly fell into this outlet with a hand. Having received a lot of impressions from the room, I went to the reception to ask to nail at least some pinch on the door. This request was fulfilled quite quickly while we went to eat. At the reception, I heard a familiar voice - it was the director of the hotel, Mikhail. Having expressed my impressions from communication with the staff and from the Junior Suite received, I heard the phrase - "I know everything that you want to tell me. " He certainly tried to smooth the situation, but I did not see any special actions. It all came down to the fact that it’s good that he at least does something there, otherwise all the employees are careless, and he can’t check all the numbers personally.
In general, we decided that we somehow need to live for 2 weeks, so we will try to look for pleasant moments. Which by the way were. Namely, it is proximity to the sea, really going beyond the territory and walking for about 5 minutes, you find yourself on a large sandy beach. I was also pleased with the presence of a swimming pool on the territory. It is not as big as it seems in the photo and video on the site, but still. The breakfasts that are included in the price are quite good. Basically, you could eat. The girls in the cafe at breakfast are very friendly, which cannot be said about those who sit in the administration. Although there was one woman at the reception who tried her best to smooth out the rough edges, but there were too many of them.
Back to surprises. In the evening there was a shower, a cold shower, as there was no hot water, although the boiler was hanging. The water was also lowered for a long time, but the warm one did not go. The next morning, a woman from the reception brought us a bottle of wine as a sign of reconciliation, which did not come due to the lack of hot water. After calling the plumber 2 times to our room, the water did appear - it turned out that he simply forgot to open some tap on the boiler. Luckily the problem was solved. But then another surprise awaited us - right under our number, about ten meters from the door, cars came and pumped out feces. The cars were big with barrels, there was a terrible roar, the windows all looked out exactly there onto the utility yard. And it happened probably every 2-3 hours. It's just beyond words. You go to the sea, hoping to spend time outdoors, sitting at a table near the room to drink tea, but in the end you sit inside, you can’t let the children out, because they simply can’t run there, and you listen to how feces are pumped all the time, a feeling that from all over Zatoka. By the way, there was a playground for children on the territory, but it is also not in the best condition, like the whole territory. Again, it looks much better in the photo than in reality. There was also a children's room, with the so-called animator. I went there once with my 2 year old. It smelled terribly of dampness, the carpet was covered in wet spots (I suspect from those children who have not yet learned to control their urination). There were quite a few toys. My son actually liked it. When we were there, an animator girl, probably 18-19 years old, was sitting on the phone, older children were watching a cartoon. Well, I played with my little one. It seems like in the mornings she does some kind of exercises for the children, we weren’t there - I can’t say anything.
Separately, it is worth noting the cleaning of the rooms. By what principle and with what frequency they produce it, remains a mystery to us. The first 5-6 days no one came to us at all. Then I asked for at least some kind of rag or mop so that I could clean up after the children myself. The request was fulfilled and the room was cleaned - the floor was washed and the bed was changed. Then probably 3 more times the floor was washed for us and the bed was changed 2 times. In the end, the cleaning lady very insistently asked us to wash the floor almost every day. I don’t know what caused it, after the first attempts to resolve issues with the administration, we abandoned this failed idea, and were just waiting to return home.
Yes, it was the first time each of us really wanted to go home. Thank you Caroline workers! It may seem that I already cling to everything, but believe me, we are absolutely picky people. Nobody expected the level of a foreign hotel. But the fact that we lived there is not worth 1600 UAH / day. This room is generally unsuitable for renting out to guests, as for accommodating employees - completely, but not for guests. And I also want to mention some of the workers who lived next to us - no respect, they could gather under the windows and loudly discuss something, laugh, smoke, and this was at 10 pm when we tried to put the children to bed. After the comments, the situation could repeat itself.
In general, to everyone who is going to visit this hotel, I suggest to think carefully. Do not choose Monet's body, otherwise you will also watch the pumping out of feces. Well, I really hope that Mikhail will remove this 2-room junior suite from the list of rooms available for check-in, as he stipulated in our conversation.
Already on the spot, I had to look for a hotel suddenly, because we arrived with a child (very tired). The locals recommended Karolinka-2.
So, about Karolinka-2))
The administration met very cordially, offered room options, the price was very pleasantly surprised)
In the form of bonuses (i. e. free of charge):
- children's and adult pools;
- children's 3D playground;
- breakfasts (full and very tasty) at the main places;
- room cleaning every other day;
- lounge area near the pool;
- I was pleasantly surprised by Wi-Fi (worked remotely without problems);
- children's animation for almost the whole day.
In general, the whole area is very clean and immersed in the greenery of exotic plants. And what is not less important - protected.
Indeed, not as some people say.
The beach is 100 meters from the hotel. Three supermarkets, pharmacies, a lot of places with set meals, Food Market (there is a refrigerator in the room)
Very friendly staff, very nice owners - Tatyana and Mikhail))
Thank you for a comfortable stay))
Pros.
- Management at the hotel is excellent. All showed. everyone told.
- the area is great, clean. But the most important thing is green and closed. The child himself from the territory will not go anywhere.
- the pool is beyond praise.
- The sea is nearby, 2 minutes walk. the sand on the beach is clean. The guys who serve the sun loungers are very nice, always helped.
-There is a children's room, animation and playground.
- The girls cleaned the room and changed the bed and towels.
- There is a 24-hour supermarket nearby.
-what else pleased and surprised, the price of the room included free sun loungers and a shade area on the beach, but as it turned out, there were still drinks, for us for 4 people, water or juice.
Now the cons:
- The biggest minus is the so-called restaurant. The waiters are rude and have a mind of their own. There were a lot of quarrels and scandals with them among vacationers. On the first day we had lunch and dinner with them. If everything went well with dinner. That with dinner is trouble trouble. Ordered soup, pasta, salad and kebab. So they brought us a salad in 15 minutes and that's it. We are waiting, waiting for pasta and soup (for a child), an hour has already passed. They called the waitress a second time, she's all right now. Then he comes up and says, and we decided that you need to bring everything along with the barbecue. Those. no pasta, no soup, no one even started cooking. Tell me why then brought the salad?? ? If it were not for the late evening and we are tired from the road, we would have left. We didn't eat with them other than breakfast. Breakfast is average but not bad. We ate. Kashi is just so-so. In general, the chef cooks very tasty. So the hotel lost a lot of money. people went to eat in other cafes.
- Now for the number.
The suite is two-level, so the price is not small. But there are shortcomings. There is a kettle in the room but. . . no cups, only glasses??? ? Why then a kettle if there is no elementary utensils. Everything had to be bought. There is no hair dryer in the room and in general one hair dryer for the whole Carolina, at the administration. Guys are catastrophically few. Hairdryers should be in every room. Think about it. Same story with irons. Well, you can put an ironing board and iron on the floor.
- shower now. Well, for a suite, there should still be a cabin, and not a curtain with a pallet. And the shelf for toiletries can be made more impressive.
- And yes, one roll of toilet paper for 3 days for such a room, well, not enough. And he needs to be asked. Of course we bought ourselves.
- and here's some kind of trouble with the steps. There, people are constantly tangled up, and some fall down.
The room is located on the 3rd floor
But according to the room, these are rather not minuses, but shortcomings of the hotel administration. And the girl cleaners still need to sweep and wash the balconies. The room was cleaned no complaints, but near the room never.
But we are not fastidious people, we closed our eyes to all the shortcomings. Rested and enjoyed.
The village itself is also not very bad. We went to eat in Orla and in Owl. We also dined nearby at a nearby base in a small summer cafe. The food is delicious everywhere. On the shore, a girl cooks seafood, very tasty. There is an amusement park. Very close to the water park. Delicious wine and reasonable prices.
So we liked the rest in Karolinka. The hotel is not even bad. Recommended.
The sea is nearby, and it surprised us, warm, affectionate, super!!! !
were 10 days. And how many times do you think the room was cleaned? That's right guys! NEVER. When asked to clean the room, the answer sounded loud and proud - there is no time, there are a lot of robots without you. By the way, on this basis there are a lot of scandals and noise in the hotel, people swear for such a service. True towels changed. The room itself is not bad, new furniture, big spiders and lots of cobwebs. The shower was broken - the water flowed where it wants, but not where it should be. Repaired in 3 days.
Territory and swimming pool - no complaints.
Obviously not worth the money. I was in other hotels in Zatoka - they cleaned it at least once every 2 days for the same money and conditions.
Half of the day was spoiled out of 3 for which we came to relax....
Found for the same money, just apartments!
We do not recommend!! ! The photos on the site do not correspond to reality, and there are no photos of the numbers at all, they took the word of the owners!
