THE MOST CORRECT REVIEW
May. . .
We decided not to look anywhere abroad, as they say in Odessa: "You ask for songs, I have them! ", and decided to go somewhere closer to the Danube Biosphere Reserve.
Danube Biosphere Reserve (before 1998 - Reserve "Danube Plavni"): located in the extreme south-west of Ukraine, on the territory of Kiliya and Tatarbunary regions Odessa Region Ukraine, in Kiliya Arm Danube.
The territory of the reserve covers the islands of the delta up and down the Danube, floods to the north along the Danube, delta lakes and a two-kilometer strip of marine waters along the coast. The area of the reserve is 50252.9 hectares. Almost the entire territory of the reserve (Kiliya arm, except for the buffer zone) has the status of wetlands of international importance, according to the Ramsar Convention with a special protection regime. On the Romanian side of the Danube Delta, a nature reserve was also created, inscribed in 1991 on the List %B8%D1%80%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B5_%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%81%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%B4%D0%B8%D0%B5 ">World Heritage UNESCO.
The road, again, as they say in Odessa: "This is something special! ".
To tell the truth, when we were already very actively starting repairs and there is a chance that they will soon finish the road right up to the city of Vilkovo (this city is also known as "Ukrainian Venice" due to numerous canals dug along the streets).
When we went to nature, like city dwellers, we really hoped to see living creatures, but we expected to see something local: a hare there, a heron, etc. , the first one we met, but along the way, was an ostrich! Such a standard Ukrainian ostrich grazes peacefully on the lawn in the yard. . .
It turned out to be something like a display piece from an ostrich farm.
Having looked at the curiosity, we moved on.
Finally arrived - beauty!
Nature is like that, why are there ostriches on the lawn - lemons grow right on the street!
It turned out that a lemon tree was planted a few years ago and it took root - a reserve, after all!
They didn’t catch fish themselves - they waved to Vilkovo and the fish soup is ready.
Well, what about the May holidays without barbecue. . .
Vilkovo is also famous for strawberries, but we are from Odessa - we took beer with us: someone drinks champagne with strawberries, and we decided on beer and strawberries, it turned out to be very tasty - we recommend trying it.
On the way back we decided to visit the Belgorod-Dniester fortress.
Be? lgorod-Dniester? vskaya fortress (Roman Cetatea Alb? ) (until 1944 - Akkerman fortress) - a monument of history and urban planning of the XIII-XV centuries. It is one of the best preserved in the territory %B0">Ukraine. Its size exceeds all similar fortifications in the country. The total area of the fortress is 9 hectares. The fortress lies on a rocky shore Dniester Estuary and has type of irregular polygon. Previously, it consisted of four courtyards, each of which had a specific purpose and could independently conduct defense (Currently, only three fortress courtyards have survived). All fortifications are surrounded by strong walls, the length of which reaches 2.5 km. After 40-45 m ">curtains fortress towers were built and bastions. Their initial number reached 34.12 of them were hollow battle towers. The rest are bastions and semi-bastions. They were later bottled up and turned into platforms for the installation of artillery pieces. Many towers of the stronghold have their own names (tower Ovid (Maiden), Watchtower, tower Pushkin, etc. ), which have become a reflection of local traditions and legends.
Looking at the photos, I remember how we spent the weekend and I think: this is how everyone should go to us, especially since river beaches and outdoor recreation are in no way inferior to sea / ocean beaches, it’s just that each place has its own zest, but this one is closer to us!
!!! ! THANK YOU FOR APPRAISING THE PHOTOS!!!!
