May weekend .. in Zh ... that is, in Vilkovo ..
So about Vilkovo. Or a city that some call "Ukrainian Venice".
We went there on a motorcycle. The road along the Odessa highway was just awesome!! ! We were driving all 170 km/h, it felt like sitting in a rocket)) a lot of air pressure and whistling in the ears)) In general, it was cool. Then we turned onto another road, which was already in the direction of Vilkovo. There had to go no more than 100 km / h. The road did not allow more - bad. But when we reached the last section of our journey, we realized that we had never seen such bad roads. It's not a road - it's a collection of big holes and small holes. We have a broken gearshift pad on one of these pits . . in short, you have to go there very, very carefully. Three buses that were traveling from Kyiv broke down on this road.
When they arrived, they were very exhausted and seemed to have been beaten for a long time . . In this state, they began to look for where to stay (it also started to rain). All the hotels are packed with tourists, and if they are not full, then they are booked and we are not allowed to go there. And looking for private traders is called walking around the village (and this is an obvious village, with huts and villagers), and asking someone to accept us. But we were lucky: in the cafe where we landed, to take a breath, and asked the guy passing by if he had a place to live, he gave us the number of a private trader. The cafe is located literally near the entrance to the city. Arriving at the private trader, we found normal average conditions. He asked for money for 70 UAH per night per person. The hotel room cost 290 per room/night. We bargained with him for two days for 250 UAH (two people).
Regarding the transport of this "beautiful" city of Vilkovo, about which all tours write so many pleasant words, and about which they write that the main transport there is boats, and for those who are richer - boats with a motor - ALL of this is a FALSE ! ! The main transport of the city of Vilkovo is MOpeds. All and sundry ride mopeds. Who has less money - on bicycles, who has a little more on Zhiguli.
Channels. There, all over the city, such tiny streams flow, half a meter wide, a bridge is thrown over them. We didn’t go to see the big canals that all tourists are taken to, because at the sea station, where we asked about renting boats, they told us very rudely: boats for rent (motor) for an hour - they will ride you - 200 UAH. And a small tour - an hour of boating, a city tour (this is some kind of grandmother leads around the village, stopping either near the church, then near the tree, then near the monument - there are not so many of these) and a THREE HOURS picnic (ear + glass of wine ) - 220 UAH per person. Therefore, having heard all these proposals, offered in such a way that . . we did not want anything.
They organized a tour of the city themselves, rode a boat, taking it from the same private trader for free. We took a boat ride between the houses - there are such tiny canals, two meters wide at most. One oar - very uncomfortable with one oar. The depth of such a channel is half a meter. Therefore, when they swam, it was necessary to push off either on the bottom or on the shore. In general, this is not a canal, but a swamp. Everything is overgrown and there are a lot of frogs.
That's all . . the only thing that I liked at least somehow - the only decent place where they feed well and serve kindly (approximately at Kyiv prices) - the restaurant "Venice".
So there is absolutely nothing to do in Vilkovo!!! ! You can never trust these PR people!! !
