The hotel building was built in pseudo-Gothic style. The hotel is located on a hill next to the park "Sofiyivka" near the center of Uman. In the lobby of the hotel there is a museum of marble sculpture of the arboretum "Sofiyivka" and an exotic winter garden.More →

The night passed comfortably. I recommend this hotel (the House of creativity of scientists is called). There are exhibitions in the hall, very informative.
Эту комнату мы называли кабинетом)) Еще у нас там была спальня, детская, ванная и вместительный коридорчик с гардеробной. Вид сверху на экскурсию в холле Ванная Вид на отель из парка

The hotel itself is a "Soviet version", with appropriate repairs, although clean. In ordinary rooms - a bathroom with a mini-bath - like in hotels. The junior suite has a regular bath. No shower curtains! ) There are 3 rooms in the junior suite: a hall with sofas, a TV set, a refrigerator, the second room is an "office", the third is a bedroom.
It is warm in ordinary rooms (but it was still October). There was no heating in the junior suite, and this was in October (something did not work for them)! ! There is no kettle
We also looked at the Sofievsky Hotel. It looks like a modern building, the lobby is warm. As in the rooms - is unknown. Suite 450, junior suite 350, regular room 250 and 150 for one. They said that all rooms have bathrooms and hot water.

We were in Uman in August, I am a husband and two children. There were 2 settlement options, hotels and apartments for rent. We immediately decided to try the first one. but it wasn’t there, at 6 pm it was already difficult to catch someone in hotels, we waited 35 minutes, so no one approached us, the hotel is located near the bus station, then we went to the lower hotel, which is also near sofiyivka, there were no places, probably the season. … More ▾ We were in Uman in August, I am a husband and two children. closed and guarded by a watchman
1. Lusk for two is huge. especially something about the dining room, which is also a guest room.
2. large double balcony overlooking the courtyard
3. the bedroom is on the shady side so that in the morning the sun does not interfere
4. in the morning the neighbor's rooster interferes with sleep (the chicken coop is right in the backyard)
5. the kettle was broken (they gave a small one for 1l)
6. toilet and bath are combined, there is no curtain in the bathroom and the shower holder is broken.
output for 450 gr. this squalor cannot be called LUX
next night was in double economy
1. the same problem in the shower there is no curtain, combined with the toilet (for the economy it is acceptable), the shower holder is whole
2. there is a TV, there is a refrigerator in room 7 (there was no refrigerator in room 6).
Conclusion for 200g is quite worthy ECONOMY
in general, the impression is good, I liked the winter garden with exotic plants and marble statues, there is a restaurant nearby, 150-200g you can dine for four, the menu is huge but not everything is there, the waiters are not quick, cutlery is placed directly on the table (without wrapping it in a napkin). Decorated decently, prepared well.
MAJOR PLUS a few meters from the park. (if you get up early you can go for free)

strange somehow, they talk about one hotel, and the pictures are thrown by another..... my husband and I stayed at Sofiyivka 2, there were no sculptures or a winter garden there....at first glance, the room was not bad - unfortunately only at first. It seems that the hotel is new, it seems to be the most expensive (they paid 350 UAH for a junior suite), but there is mold in the shower, the drain is clogged - there was no desire to take a shower right away, the bed linen is not clear in which puddle it was washed (it was supposed to be white and yellow with orange ornament, the white color was replaced with gray) the mattress was pissed off about 20 times, and on 2 sides, the mattress topper turned out to be no better (fortunately, I have a habit of carrying a set of bed linen with me), although it was unpleasant to sleep, plus the sun was good in the room from 5 in the morning it warms up, there is no air conditioner, it is impossible to breathe, and even the furniture is light-office color, everything was crushed in general. … More ▾ strange somehow, they talk about one hotel, and the pictures are thrown by another.....

(address - Kievskaya 9 but it seems)
disappointed in full, we decided to look for a place where you can have dinner (there is nothing for this provided). We stopped at the "House of Creativity of Scientists" - it is located at the front of the park, because our hotel was on the other side and it has a winter garden in its hall. Naturally, I looked into the hotel, asked to show the rooms - then the toad "crushed" me - they have a junior suite for 250, and this is not 1 room, but 2, the room is quite comfortable, the sofa in the living room, the bedding is cleaner and there is a fungus in the bathroom with mold were still absent... here is their address - Sadovaya 53a
Gaets advised us to stop by at one place to have a bite - "khutorok - Sloboda", this is both a hotel and a restaurant, everything is made in wood - cozy wooden houses, here I was also interested in what and for how much they offer here....
for 180 rooms with shower and toilet on the 2nd floor above the restaurant, and in the houses separately for 200 UAH per day, I looked into the room - clean, pleasant, the bathroom is small, but "licked", the bedding is fresh. I don’t know his address, just go along Kievskaya to the circle, and you immediately come across him.
It looks more like an advertisement, it’s just that we were so disappointed with the hotel then - I don’t want anyone to “get caught” like that either....but in general we learned a lesson from this - book a room, come a little earlier and look at other hotels, info which are not on the site....and you should not pay for the room right away - ask to see it.

On May weekends, we dined at the restaurant at the Druzhba Hotel on Sadovaya 53, before a walk in the park. It is located near the entrance to the Sofiyivka park. The food is tasteless, and the prices are cosmic and do not correspond to the service.

From here it is not far to the second attraction of Uman (the tomb of Rebbe Nachman). Standard double room 200 UAH/day (refrigerator, TV, bathroom, hot water). There is an inexpensive restaurant in the building. Quite acceptable. May 2010

By the way, there is really nowhere to eat there! Despite the crowds of visitors for such a period of time. Already on departure, they found Kadubok in the center of Uman on the square, so at least they are well fed there - the rest sucks.
But this is the best option from what we saw in Uman, so you can spend the night, given that the beauty of the park will smooth out the unpleasant impressions of hotels.

We just almost lost the power of speech. . Then they began to ask her where else it is possible - she is like that - everything is busy everywhere. In short, we stood silently, and she let slip that she had a single. . Only she is afraid that we will break her bed : ) We assured her that we were not up to it at all. . Well, we got the number. Very pleasant room. Very cozy and nice. For only 150 UAH. Hot water, all amenities. Good hotel. I went to eat in slippers, bought in the same hotel for 15 UAH: ) white ones)) Because the shoes were soaking wet. I didn’t have to go far to eat - a cafe is literally at hand - at average prices. . But we were well fed. And in the morning, after a good night's sleep, we left the hotel and just behind him began Sofievsky Park. The weather was good and we enjoyed the park wonderfully. The only thing that prevented them from fully enjoying it was a very large number of people, otherwise everything is fine. : )
