We celebrated the New Year 2008 in Truskavets. We had never been there before. Actually, we planned to stay in a turnkey apartment, called, agreed, we were encouraged, we arrived... - it turned out - "a decent apartment with a European-style renovation" - that's something that old, terrible, smelly, in a dirty entrance. That's when in one of the sanatoriums (where we drove up, trying unsuccessfully to find a free room), we were recommended "Alexic". Moved in. Impressions?
Pros: the rooms are warm despite -17 degrees, water is around the clock (In Truskavets water is on schedule: from 6 to 10 in the morning and from 6 to 10 in the evening), the administrator is polite and pleasant, the rooms are clean, our "suite" was cleaned daily (we rented almost the last 2 rooms: "suite" and our friends - "improved", and when we moved out, new visitors knocked on our room with the question: are we sure we are releasing the intention or, God forbid, we will stay? ), the kitchen is without pretensions, just homemade (although I cook some dishes better), the service is unobtrusive - requests are fulfilled quickly enough, well, they smile politely.
The boarding house is on the outskirts, behind the fence is a forest, beauty! Right next to it is a san. "Dnepr" with its own pump room. You don't have to go far, you especially appreciate it in winter, in the cold.
Cons: our room was on the first floor, at the entrance (we didn’t have to choose), so from the early morning, when people started walking back and forth and slamming the door (the door is without a closer and closes abruptly and loudly), it worked like an alarm clock, and the doors of our room were ordinary, thin, almost like cabinets. Our friends were on the floor above, right almost above the dining room and, as it turned out, it was felt in the form of kitchen aromas due to ventilation.
There is no such service as washing in the laundry (and how do people who came for treatment for 21 days live here? ) And they offered us a basin. Maybe people wash themselves in sanatoriums, I was not interested. quietly and calmly, in the dining room they organized a small festive dinner with a glass of champagne - it was nice. In general, somehow at home and it pleases. Probably, if I come to Truskavets, then again to "Alexic".
