Hotel "Irena 2 *" was chosen based on reviews on Turpravda and did not regret it. We have been here since 12/24/13. to 28.12. 13. The room was booked in advance by email. They do not take prepayment. When booking, we asked if triple occupancy is possible. They answered that they would provide an extra bed in the room without any problems. Supplement for extra bed 100 UAH/day. The room was chosen by the junior suite studio. The price was 585 UAH/day for three. Breakfast was included in this price. The hotel is located near the railway station (you can even walk if you don't have heavy bags and know where to go : ). We took a taxi from the railway station - 30 UAH. We drove for 10 minutes (we stood at traffic lights for a long time). When we left home, we drove from the hotel to the railway station in 5 minutes.
The room (we were given #26) is relatively large. Consists of 2 rooms (living room and "bedroom"). The three of us accommodated comfortably. The floor is carpeted. The furniture is quite decent. For the third person, they put a large folding sofa for us. There is a mini-kitchen with a sink, a set of dishes and a microwave, a minibar. It is paid, there is a price list in the room. Upon arrival there were three free bottles of 0.5l mineral water. A trifle, but nice? The bathroom is quite decent. There are shower caps, disposable bags of shower gel and shampoo, hair dryer. The only problem was that the water didn't drain well in the shower. Once we changed towels and bedding. And it looks like it hasn't been removed. At least I didn't notice. But we, in principle, did not litter? . The hotel has a small lounge with a soft sofa and a computer connected to the Internet. Does the hotel have free Wi-Fi.
There was sometimes an unpleasant smell in the corridors of the hotel. From what is not clear.

The breakfast included in the room rate is good. You can choose from pancakes with meat, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs with sausage or vegetables. There's oatmeal, bacon sandwiches, a fruit plate. Choice of tea or coffee. Breakfast includes juice, yogurt, toast, jam, a piece of butter and cheese. Everything is delicious. We also had dinner at the hotel. A decent complex lunch costs 40 UAH.
The hotel itself is small, located in a residential area. Quiet, comfortable, just what you need to relax. The hotel staff is polite. How to get to the historic center of the city, where most of the sights are located, we were explained at the reception. By the way, there was a map of the historical part of Lviv in the room. We went to the center by tram number 6. It has always been empty. Walk to the bus stop from the hotel for 5-7 minutes. Near the stop there is a very high church of St. Catherine. It is true that it is either being renovated, or it is simply not working now.
The fare in the tram is 1.5 UAH, in the minibus 2 UAH. The routes are always crowded. Due to the narrow streets and a large number of cars, traffic jams sometimes occur. I was surprised by the courtesy of car drivers, who in 99% of cases stopped and let pedestrians pass, even if they wanted to cross the road not at a pedestrian crossing.
The first two days they examined everything themselves. Were in the weapons museum. But then we took a walking tour: underground and medieval Lviv (cost 80 UAH per person). It was interesting. With a guide, we went into a mine (a mine where coffee is mined underground? ), Were in the "kriyivka", where they are allowed only after you say the password: "Glory to Ukraine" and in other wonderful places of this wonderful city.
I advise you to take a tour right away, and then walk and see for yourself what you liked.
The hotel and the city left only good impressions. I think that we will come back here, but in the spring or summer. There are places here that I would like to visit.
