Kirillovka - rest in the style of "junior suite".

After so many reviews about holidays abroad, I wanted to share my impressions about somewhere... the eleventh holiday in my already native Kirillovka. Almost every year we rest there, we have already lost count, the last time we were there was the year before last. Probably, my story will be of interest to people who can relax abroad, but who are still in doubt, what if it’s better and cheaper here. This year we have already visited Sharm, we are planning Marsa Alam for the fall (and maybe something more distant and exotic), God forbid.
It was decided to spend the vacation unexpectedly falling on the head at the sea, and not in the garden-sofa style. Where to go is the eternal question. I want to go to the sea, always! Between two vacations abroad in a year, you need to give finances a break and multiply. We opt for the economy option.
Since Crimea is not ours, we do not go even on principle to the occupied territory. I pick up a calculator and open the Internet. And the search began. Bulgaria is a stretch, but you need a visa. Georgia is an expensive flight. Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt are already a little expensive for a “between vacation snack”. Spain, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, etc. - the euro exchange rate is just space, the price of a vacation, respectively. The eternal dilemma between "I want to have a good rest" and "I feel sorry for the money. " Berdyansk is close to the Donbass, and Genichesk is close to the Crimea. Okay, let there be Kirillovka again.
From personal experience, I know only 2 types of holidays in Kirillovka: "economy" and "luxury", there is no third. Do not even think of adjusting it to at least some "stars" abroad, such stars do not exist in nature, these are special Kirillov stars.
Let's start with "suite" - this proud word can be called everything that has a bathroom in the room. Your own bathroom is a "LUX" level rest, be proud of the happy owners. "Lux" also has its own varieties:
not expensive - a private base, maybe not even bad and even cozy, but, as a rule, far from the sea, does not have its own beach and far from infrastructure.
expensive - maybe next to the sea and have their own beach, or "second line", maybe with a pool, with some kind of animation, service, food. But not a fact: the beach can be public, the sea is far away, the food is disgusting, our own rudeness. If we get lucky. Everything positive affects the price in the direction of increase, and the negative will not affect the price in the direction of decrease. I share my personal experience, the nuances were different.
“Lux” is discarded immediately, otherwise at a price: road + accommodation + meals + entertainment +100 grams = we go to the price of a cheap Bulgarian all-inclusive. What about the meaning? Where is the savings?
"Economy", I call such rooms "with amenities in the sea. " The beach and infrastructure can be far away, the rooms are small, cosiness, all the necessary furniture and a bathroom are not disfigured. Mostly they resemble barracks with a cardboard wall and beds with a shell net. At night, those who suffer from light sleep can have fun by listening to the breeding process of neighbors or studying chanson texts. The most extreme entertainment is a trip to the bathroom. This building of an unknown architect stands on the street and attracts from afar, burning eyes and throat, persistent smell of ammonia. But even such a holiday has its own romance, the question, of course, is the price. We have already had enough of “romance” in previous times, we want comfort.
Suddenly I find "paradise" - the very center, near the market, the amusement park and everything my soul wants on the seashore "junior suite". Oh miracle, what is it? It differs from the "suite" in price, view and lack of a balcony and air conditioning. God be with them, of course we go. I call by phone on the site, there are rooms, no prepayment is needed, we book by phone. Fairy tale.
We arrived and they seated us right away. Yes, at first glance the room looks like a small, uncomfortable closet, at the second and third, too. There is no closet, there is a bed, a chest of drawers, a hanger, a refrigerator, it has a small TV with a dozen channels, a table and a kettle. The bathroom is small, with a toilet bowl, a shower, a hole in the floor for a drain and a washbasin. You can not dream of any bath set, there is hot and cold water around the clock and thank you. There is a persistent smell of rotten fish from the drain, they could not remove it for all seven days. The sea is very close, but there is almost no beach, and sunbeds, even for "their own", are paid. The brazier was also paid, although the site was cunning on this topic. Greenery is missing. But, in general, you can live. The feeling is as follows: if the price were cheaper, the shortcomings would not be so noticeable.
Kirillovka itself this year at the end of June struck with emptiness: on the streets, on the beach, in cafes, in the amusement park, in the market, 30% of the number of vacationers the year before last. Of course, first of all, the political factor influenced, it is scary to drive when bridges and roads are blown up. But, we have such a desperate people, to whom the Red Sea is knee-deep during the attack of sharks, when the price drops. Maybe the whole point is that the price does not match the quality at all? Maybe it’s not worth trying to “catch up” with Egypt, Bulgaria and Turkey at the price of a ticket (there are flights and insurance included)? Maybe it's time to introduce the concept of "service"?
Something I'm all about sad, just felt sorry for the resort.
Positive aspects of this year:
cafes are fighting for a client, girls in national costumes and wreaths are luring from the street, the concept of “delicious” and “service” has begun to appear here.
Knowing the places, you can find excellent factory wine at a normal price.
A “touching zoo” has appeared, where you can touch almost all living creatures and take pictures with them and an aquarium. True, it is expensive for such an assortment of living creatures.
Queues for rides in the amusement park disappeared. There are no people, and the price is 25-40 UAH. per person for 1 swing. Expensive.
There is an aqua park.
Had a great time with friends.
