I discovered this route by accident, just walking around the capital with my sister. Street by street, I began to understand that in the center, each attraction is looped in essence, like in any other state. Each turn gives a surprise and new impressions from Kyiv.
For the first time, I started the route from the Landscape Alley and, to be honest, after a while I would have shifted it and started right from Mikhailovskaya Square, since the Landscape Alley is quite broken and in order not to spoil the impression of the city, it is better to exclude it from the route.
Why Mikhailovskaya Square is very simple: in addition to the fact that the location is insanely beautiful, just opposite this cathedral there is a no less historical landmark - this is Sofiyivskaya Square, the place where the country's central Christmas tree flaunts every year.
From Sofiyivska Square it is quite easy to go to the Golden Gates, for those who are not in the know - there was once really a central entrance to the southern part, but ruins have remained to our times and now only we can see the monument.
Vladimir Cathedral will not say that on the way, slightly to the right, but still it is worthy to visit it, and after that you can take a walk in the Taras Shevchenko Park, which is conveniently located opposite one of the central universities of the country, Taras Shevchenko National University.
And then down to Bessarabskaya Square through Khreshchatyk to Independence Square. By the way, I personally liked Maidan more when instead of a globe there were fountains on it, and a detail; ) The fountain itself, which once adorned Maidan, has been restored and adorns the Buki Landscape Park.
Next, I propose to walk to the Arch of Friendship of Peoples, but no, not for the sake of the arch, but for the sake of a new glass bridge; ) The bridge, frankly, only the name comes from the glass one, but how amazing the observation deck is.
Next, Vladimirskaya Gorka, its location is unique in that no matter which direction you turn, you will definitely get to the attraction, but we need the Alley of Artists, it miraculously passes right under the funicular route, but it also leads us straight, I’m not afraid, one of the most historical locations in Kyiv is Andreevsky Spusk. I think, just about his mention, we immediately flash moments from the movie behind "Two Hares" ; )
It is very convenient to get off from Andreevsky Descent to Vozdvizhenka, although it is a new district, it is very colorful, you cannot pass it by. Mecca for photographers.
Here I would like to end the journey, but Podol is 2 km away, but is it possible to imagine Kyiv without Podol? Probably not ; )
I was very pleased with the fact that they removed car traffic, perhaps inconvenient for car owners, but for tourists it is the most.
