New Year in the Kiev metro!
New Year in the Kiev metro!
Long winter evenings we were tormented by the same question, how and where to celebrate the New Year? The overseas option was unreasonably expensive. Or rather, just without promotional tariffs. At the hut for the third time in a row to gather somehow trite. We need something fresh, something new! The 31st is getting closer and closer, but no interesting thoughts came to mind. Olya and Zhenya also went through a lot of ideas on how to get together and celebrate. There were already a couple of days left, and Dasha expressed the crazy idea to celebrate it just in the subway. At first, the idea somehow did not go. But then, the more you think about it, the more brilliant the idea seems. There were days left. On the morning of the 31st, the idea of celebrating in the subway already certainly seemed the most original and unsurpassed.
Until the new year 40 minutes. We stand on the platform and analyze the passing trains. It was necessary to determine which train and which car to sit in so that it would be comfortable in terms of the number of people. It's 23:41 on the clock, which means this is our train! Then some dumb-looking man, having also analyzed the situation, decided that he needed to go to the second car. Nothing, sit in the opposite part. The nearest stop was the central and interchange. The bulk of the car got out and in total there were eight of us left. We have 15 minutes for everything, let's go! At the first stage, we hung a homemade garland on the handrails, hung a colorful star.
We set up the Christmas tree and started decorating it! One of the passengers moved closer to us. A couple from the next car followed us, we waved for them to join, but they got cold feet.
Now we get sweets, tangerines and a New Year's hat with predictions. I was the first to go with sweets and treated the passengers, bringing in the New Year mood. Then everyone had to pull out a prediction from Dasha's Santa Claus hat and take a New Year's tangerine from Olya. Thus, we connected everyone in the car to our celebration. True, one grandfather was frostbitten, apparently did not believe in the sincerity of the idea. In total, we met the New Year with seven of us: Dasha and I, Olya and Zhenya, a girl from Nigeria, an English-speaking guy from Istanbul and a guy from Kyiv. Doors are closing, next stop 2018! Apparently, none of them expected to celebrate the new year as it should be exactly at midnight with tangerines and champagne. 3.2, 1…. Happy New Year!
The sound of Asti Martini opening, emotions of joy, we shouted congratulations in Ukrainian, Turkish and Nigerian! The girl even sang a New Year's song in English. And the most spectacular thing, according to a correctly calculated calculation, at that moment the train drove onto the bridge and the fireworks of celebrating Kyiv opened before us. We rejoiced and shouted, our train rushed through the years! At the next stop, another group of guys came in and the celebration intensified! Olya was even given a Christmas hat! One of the guys pulled out a prediction that he would find a job and was completely ecstatic from this! We met this year in motion, so now we will spend it! Happy holidays everyone!
