I stayed at the Express Hotel at the South Station (Kharkov) for the second time. And again, she did not disappoint me at all!
Again, as in 2016, I spent all three nights quite comfortably during my 4-day visit to Kharkiv.
Lived in a 1-bed room (for 350 UAH per day). True, the bathroom was shared with the next room, but since no one lived in it, they did not experience any inconvenience.
The room had everything you need for a normal life. In addition to a comfortable bed, the room had a table, two chairs, a wardrobe with a sufficient number of "hangers", a bedside table for all sorts of little things. There is a TV. The floor is linoleum. The room was clean and tidy.
The bed linen was new and clean, there were enough towels, the TV worked. Hot water was around the clock, the bathroom was cleaned daily. Lighting (discharge lamps on the ceiling and "sconces" - 2 pieces) worked.

During the days of my stay in Kharkov, it was, as I understand it, “anomalously cool - only +17 - +18 °C. But the room was warmer and the coolness of the street was not felt at all. In 2016, it’s up to +40 ° C outside, and the temperature in the room is almost the same as on this visit, that is, it’s hot and stuffy, as it wasn’t outside. Excellent, that means, in terms of its "residential characteristics", the building was built at one time by Soviet builders!
It would not hurt, however, to update the wallpaper on the walls. Too bad they are too old. Yes, and there is no shower cabin as such - there is no partition that would separate the corner from the shower of the rest of the bathroom. A drain was provided for the water, through which it quickly left, and the small amount that remained quickly dried up. But for me it's the little things. Yes, and on business trips you need to be able to "moderate your appetites. "
The hotel staff was polite and friendly and met my requests with understanding. It was very pleasant to communicate!
Thank you dear!
All the best!
Sincerely, Alexander, Lviv.
