We stayed at this hotel from 08 to 16 July. I read a lot of positive reviews and chose it for our stay during a vacation in Berdyansk.
The first impression is positive, the hostess met us at the gate, very friendly. Pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. Great attention is paid to cleanliness here, the yard and the hotel itself are well-groomed. Room cleaning every day. There is a place to park a car.
The hotel is well located, near the market with vegetables, fruits, souvenirs. There are grocery stores, cafes, a minibus stop not far away, where you can go to the spit or to the center, to ATB, Silpo, to the market, etc. 15 minutes walk to the zoo.
To the beach from the hotel 3-5 minutes on foot, the beach is good, sandy. Small, for small children it is the most. BUT, the main part of the beach area belongs to children's camps. From 9 to 13, and then around 16.00, children come to the beaches of the camps and the counselors begin to expel all the vacationers from "their" territory. Although by law the beach itself and the sea are the property of all the people of Ukraine, the camps have the right only to the territory under their canopies that they put up there, but no one from the vacationers wanted to quarrel with the counselors for the place, with the exception of a couple of people who didn’t achieved. Therefore, vacationers who come to this beach at a time when there are children from the camps have to huddle on small sections of the beach that are located between the "camp beaches". Ideally, go to Berdyansk by car and drive to the beach on the spit. You can also take a minibus, but they are packed, it is not very convenient with a child. This is a small digression. So about the hotel.
Since we were traveling with a large group, we booked two rooms. Standard with two separate beds on the second floor and standard with one large bed on the third floor. The rooms are not bad, the room has a TV, mini fridge, safe. They gave free use of an electric kettle and a hairdryer, for which many thanks to the hostess. In room 16 on the third floor, the TV is old, buzzing, we turned it on once, turned it off and then forgot about it. Wi-fi catches on the third floor in the room is very weak, on the second floor it is better, but still the speed is not very good.
Upon check-in, we were charged an additional payment for a child of 3 years in the amount of 100 UAH per day, as the child sleeps with his parents on the same bed (and at home we sleep three of us on a large bed). No complaints, this condition was on booking when we booked a room, but for this money we were given only a pillow and a sheet. No towels were provided for the child. By the way, during the stay of eight nights, towels for adults were changed only once.
Walking along the embankment, we asked other vacationers about the conditions of their stay, it turned out that only we were charged extra for a small child, the other three couples who lived in rooms of a similar class or even higher, judging by the appearance of the hotel, paid for the room 600-800 UAH and three of us lived with a child without additional payments.
Our room had a double bed and a couch. As it turned out later, we had no right to use the trestle bed, that is, you can’t sleep on it! Our room was on the roof, it got very hot during the day and it was very hot and stuffy to sleep. We slept one night with the air conditioner on, and my husband caught a cold. We decided to move him away from the child for a night or two, to sleep on a trestle bed. As a result, the hostess told her husband on occasion that we paid for everyone sleeping on the bed, and at night someone slept on the trestle bed, so they say it’s not good. It was very unpleasant. Again, the room on the third floor is very, very hot. We tried to leave the air conditioner a couple of times when we went to the sea from morning to afternoon, set it to 27-28 s, which would cool the room a little before resting at lunchtime, but upon arrival at the room we found that the air conditioner was turned off and the room was hot. As it turned out, the cleaners who clean the rooms were given a command from the hostess to turn off the air conditioners when they come to clean. As a result, it was very uncomfortable to sleep. This position of the owner of the hotel is very upset. We didn't turn on the air conditioner at night. During the day they didn’t turn it on for 18-20s, so that they would wind it on stupid electricity. They just tried for their 850 UAH per day to cool the room from 35-38 to more or less comfortable 27-28 s, but alas, it did not work out.
The hotel does not have the opportunity to cook your own food, but there is a cafe. I note that it is not impossible, but there is no possibility, that is, there is no kitchen for vacationers.
The reviews wrote that the cafe is delicious, homely, so when we went to Sunday we decided that we would eat in a cafe. It’s even much more convenient, you don’t have to waste time cooking. Just in case, we took a slow cooker with us, since my husband is a vegetarian, plus my little daughter does not eat very fatty and spices. Upon arrival, it turned out that the cafe has a clear schedule, breakfast from 9 to 10, lunch from 13 to 14, and dinner from 18 to 19. This is very inconvenient and this is not indicated on the booking. The menu is the same all the time. The feature of the cafe is that you order lunch for yourself when you have breakfast, and dinner when you have lunch. If you don't order something, you'll be hungry. Upon arrival, as we arrived around 11, the hostess allowed us to order some dishes from those that could be prepared by 13.00. I ordered meat soup for myself and my child and buckwheat with salad for my husband. As a result, the child categorically refused to eat the soup and agreed to eat her father's buckwheat. Since the soup was in meat broth, and the husband is a vegetarian, he could not eat the soup, only salad remained for him. They called the waitress and asked for another portion of buckwheat, in response they heard that there was no buckwheat. They asked for any other side dish, or some kind of dish to feed my husband, but in response they heard that there was nothing, everything was on order, it was necessary to order earlier. As a result, the husband from the road was left hungry ! ! Most likely it was necessary to go find the hostess, tell her about the situation and ask her husband to cook something else. But honestly, I didn’t even have a desire, why should I go looking for someone and begging for food for my 850 UAH per day and plus 250 UAH for dinner for two ?!
The next morning, getting up at 7, we had to wait until 9 to eat in the hotel cafe (by the way, in the city most cafes and home kitchens open closer to dinner, so if you like to eat in the morning, when you are used to, and not when it opens cafe Sunday, then you are definitely not in this hotel, you need to choose accommodation with a kitchen and cook breakfast yourself or choose a hotel where breakfast is from 8 to 10.30, later we found one on the embankment). For lunch at Sunday, they ordered cutlets for me and my daughter, porridge and soup for my husband. Thank you for making a meatless vegetarian soup just for my husband. But the cutlets turned out to be half-baked and not tasty, and the daughter refused to eat them. Since it was impossible to order anything else, we ate porridge and went to the beach.
Since there was no other way out, so as not to sit hungry in the mornings, we took out our slow cooker and cooked porridge for ourselves in the mornings, I note that only porridge, water and cereals were cooked, no borscht, stew or anything else that could at least somehow spoil something from the furniture in the room or give some kind of smell. The next day, the cleaning lady apparently found our slow cooker, told the hostess, and she again told her husband that it was impossible to eat and cook with them and we had the dirtiest room. It was very unpleasant, but I did not go to swear. So you can leave a vacationer hungry, but you can’t cook porridge in a slow cooker. What was meant by the phrase "you have the dirtiest room" I did not understand, always and everywhere I keep clean, both at home and on vacation in hotel rooms. The first time they expressed this, I’m sure that it’s not deserved, but simply because we didn’t eat constantly in their cafe. Left an unpleasant aftertaste.
We found the Home Kitchen not far from the beach and went for lunch and dinner there. There is a new menu every day, you can come at any time from 12.00 to 19.30, you can choose and order everything that is on the menu, you can take it with you to the beach (packed in disposable dishes), plus prices there are much lower and delicious. Their borscht, soups with meatballs and meatballs, even my daughter ate. Very tasty compote for only 6 UAH, and not for 15 as in Sunday.
I would also add that there were children in the hotel during our stay, yours was 3-5 years old and two older, but there is nothing for children in the hotel. There is only a large adult swing, but during the rain it gets wet and then dries for a long time.
In general, the hotel is good, but I will not go there again. And yet the question of how the cleaning lady found our multicooker remained unanswered. We cooked porridge in water without seasonings, cereals and water, after cooking we washed the bowl of the multi, wiped it and hid the multicooker in the closet so that it would not embarrass anyone. Cereals for porridge, buckwheat and rice, were also hidden in the cabinet. It turns out that the cleaning lady comes to clean up and at the same time rummage through the things of the vacationers. Not a very pleasant fact. Although none of the things are missing, thank you very much for that.

We chose for a long time, as a result, we stopped on Sunday because of the proximity of the water park, dilphinarium, zoo, next to the beach is 100m, which is checked by sanitation stations (the beach is used for children's camps). The rest itself was a fun evening, although it was unlucky with the weather, but the hotel does not affect this.

On the hotel: cool koedishen rooms, safe, bathroom, good soundproofing, cleaning every day. The hostess is very attentive, she tries to make it comfortable, the staff is sociable, very satisfied with the kitchen - not expensive and tasty, beautifully decorated and there is enough food even for a past like me.
Wi-Fi works, there are tables outside, you can sit and relax. We were with a child - he keeps asking when we will go again.
