I live in Kharkov, I have problems with joints and cervical vertebrae. I searched on the Internet for medical procedures and a hydropathic clinic. I found the Garyache Dzherelo balneary in Gengorka and booked the Dzherelo hotel closest to it.
In 2016, it was, they launched a direct, new train with air conditioning, and I, with my mother and two children, arrived in Genichesk in 6 hours. Alexei (the owner of the hotel) met us at the station, helped us with our suitcases right from the train, put us in his comfortable minibus and took us to the hotel.
Our attic room was quite large. Everything is new and clean. The whole hotel is clean, the territory is a closed courtyard, gazebos, tables, barbecue, parking.
The hotel is located right next to the hydropathic, very convenient if you come to be treated. There are no problems getting there and after the procedure you have to lie down for about an hour, this can be done in a hotel, the rest of the people lie on the street on the benches of the hydropathic clinic.
As for the cuisine: large portions, tasty, fresh, every day a different menu, one day a week fish. The food is European, like homemade. You come, you sit down at a table and you take out portions. Breakfast is included in the cost of living, lunch, dinner on request, for a fee.
There is a road next to the hotel, there is an unregulated pedestrian crossing, which you need to cross in order to go to the sea. About 600 m, through the old Soviet recreation center. Beach for 3, sometimes cleaned. The toilet is very hard to find. Along the sea there are old bases and houses without amenities, I saw that people go to the sea to relieve themselves. The upbringing and culture of some people is shocking, they throw garbage, crap where they rest. There are always places on the beach. The beach is sandy, the sea is always warm and clean in summer.
Not far from the hotel there is a salt lake (an abandoned salt factory). A very interesting place. Pink brine and mud, they say very useful. The photo turns out a lunar landscape, an unusual place, I highly recommend it.
Also in Gengorka there is a dolphinarium, I liked it.
The second time we came by car, convenient parking in a closed yard. A large swimming pool appeared, for adults and children, cartoons on the street in the evening (projector on the wall).
The hotel is good, the food is excellent. The owner makes discounts and goes to a meeting on all issues. You can heal and improve your health, in normal conditions and for reasonable money, there are questions about cleanliness on the beach. For myself, I found more pluses than minuses, the balneary has a positive effect on me and you can find a place on the beach away from “cultural people”. I don’t know how to swim, and that’s why I really like the Sea of u200bu200bAzov, it’s not deep, there are no stones, sand and very warm water. If you are going to improve your health and have a good time on the Arbat Spit, I recommend the Dzherelo hotel, you will like it.
