Cons: they save on everything. Half of the lights are off; in the main building, out of 3 elevators, two are usually on. Walking up the stairs is long and scary; you can easily twist your ankle in the dark. There is no kettle or any utensils in the room except cardboard glasses. There is no shampoo, no trash can in the room, no napkins. Fruits in the restaurant are represented by oak apples and plums. Fresh oranges cost extra money, coffee and drinks from vending machines are disgusting, as is wine. You can only drink water for free, even beer is disgusting. There are three lamps burning in the room under red lampshades a la brothel, it’s impossible to read.
There is music and shouting in the bar until 12 at night; you can only fall asleep with a closed balcony under air conditioning. Which hums like a vacuum cleaner. But at 7 am, cheerful music is turned on throughout the entire territory, just like in a pioneer camp. Sun loungers on the beach need to be occupied at 8 o'clock, at 9 they are not available. You can only sit down for dinner in the restaurant after 8 pm; there are no tables before. But at 8 there is no longer much food. And at 9 the restaurant safely closes, apparently so as not to eat too much. It doesn’t occur to anyone to organize shifts or at least a queue with seating. It feels like there is no manager at this hotel at all.
The hotel is not even close to 5, maybe something like 3.
Service - 0, food - 0, convenience - 0.
We arrived at 7 in the morning and could not check in until 14 even for the money. For 7 hours with a child, we wandered around the territory, in the lobby, on the beach, we didn’t know where to stick ourselves. They asked at least to give us towels - there were no towels, they told us to complain to the administration. There were no free sunbeds on the beach at 9 am, people were laying towels right on the sand. Then we learned that at 8 am to find free sunbeds on the beach is a whole quest.
It's hard to call a restaurant a restaurant.
This is some kind of canteen in a boarding house: a gloomy dim room, some desks are standing and a very meager choice of food. For breakfast, I could hardly pick up some vegetables and a boiled egg. Everything. Soy sausage, cheeses, mayonnaise salads - this is not food for me. Of the drinks, only black tea and water (there was some kind of “coffee”, but I don’t drink coffee, I didn’t appreciate it), and the quality of “juices” is even worse than yupi. And this, for a second, is ultra-all nutrition.
Another “restaurant” was opened for lunch next to the sea: cheap plastic furniture and plastic utensils, because we arrived an hour after the start of lunch, and we no longer got normal appliances.
For lunch, the same problem with food: everything is very scarce, tasteless, there are no normal drinks. I ate vegetables and drank water again. Chic ultra-all-inclusive, you can't say anything. By the opening of the restaurant - queues, and then I realized why. Watermelon is received only by those who broke through first. If you come in an hour, you will set the table for yourself, look for spoons in a panic. Waiters really need to catch.
The space of the hotel and all the logistics are organized in a very moronic way. We were settled in the main building, in order to get to the sea, we had to first go down the elevator, then it was normal to go down the stairs, then along the steep descents, then even to the fig through the territory. A total of about 7 minutes. It is necessary to the room - again steep climbs, stairs, elevator. With a stroller or a small child is not an option at all. My shilopop and he got tired of climbing these steps.
Well, and the cherry on the cake - 95% of the tourists in this hotel are Russians, they go in swimming trunks and swimsuits in the restaurant, raking everything up as if they were eating for the last time. Gross feeling.
Clean towels were given out not folded, but piled up. Not sure if they were washed at all. It seems that they collected it in the evening, and distributed it from the same pile in the morning.
By the way, there were no questions about the number. Cleaned well, every day, white towels. But the air conditioner did not work well, and I heard that other tourists also complained (the air goes on, but it's warm, it almost doesn't cool). With an open balcony is not an option - the hoods stank so much that it made me sick.
Only the sea and the beach are perfect. Wide line, sand, very smooth entry. Great for kids. But a lot of people, sun beds back to back, an anthill.
There is no free wifi even in the lobby. In short, tin. Don't come here, don't ruin your holiday.
The main building is located on a mountain and you have to go uphill and up the stairs from the sea. The main building is beautiful, the rooms are not better equipped and older, it is difficult to wait for the elevator, there are a lot of people in the elevator and stuffy. But the view from the main building to the sea is very beautiful. I didn’t understand where the old building was complained about in the reviews. The hotel area is large, clean, well-groomed, there are many beautiful places for photos, but it is all built up, there is no productive area for walking, sitting on a bench. And do not forget that the territory is mountainous, we had to go to the dining room uphill with a slope of 45 degrees, I think a lot of stairs are not convenient for families with strollers. The sea is beautiful, sand, gentle sunset, the waves are small, at this time it is warm, like in a bath. But sunbeds at 8 in the morning are mostly occupied, and you can’t find free hours at 10 at all, just like the pools. In general, you can’t do without a race for sunbeds. If, of course, no one occupied them, it would be enough for everyone. This is very annoying, but you can’t change it, you have to play by these rules, get up at 7 in the morning and go to take a sunbed.
There is an asphalt promenade along the sea, which is good for walking, behind the hotel there are many shops with Turkish consumer goods. The food at the hotel is normal, I won’t say that it’s super, there are a lot of tasteless dishes, but you will find something to eat. Wine in glasses of local production is average in quality, when cold it is delicious, but the last days it was warm. The beer is pleasant, very light, more like non-alcoholic, yuppie juices, carbonated drinks, freshly squeezed tangerine 2 euros, I haven’t tried other drinks. It was very stuffy in the room where the dining room was, the air conditioners could not cope, there were a lot of people. The lines are not big. In general, the hotel has a feeling of great crowding of people. There was paid wi-fi, $15 for 10 days, unlimited, but I was content: I caught it everywhere, even watched cartoons. This one is better than the free one, which is barely caught at the reception.
Animation. The nursery is a disgrace. At the children's disco, a plump girl in unkempt clothes danced to not very catchy songs, she had never seen such a thing even in small hotels. Very poor, but the kids are dancing. There is a kids club, there are no toys, they draw T-shirts for money. There is a small playground with slides. Adult: there were performances, some nothing, belly dancing, darts, etc. standard. I don't participate in such events, it's hard to blow it off.
In my opinion a good hotel for the price. There were a lot of dissatisfied people who wanted better service and free wifi. But if you want the best you have to pay more.
And the hotel guide Zhanna from Pegasus was also very angry, who kept us in a stuffy room and forced us to listen about excursions, and if someone got up and left, she was worn out and said that something was bound to happen to these tourists, because they did not listen to her. Most people are not the first time in Turkey and such methods of work are outdated.
BEACH
The beach has sun loungers and umbrellas.
There is no cleaning with sand cleaning on the beach... there is only a closed shower, and so just to rinse when you leave - no.
POOLS - there are a lot of them, but we were when the hotel's occupancy was 20% and there were enough sunbeds, but what about at other times....
TERRITORY - there is a place to walk, but the cleaning is lousy... leaves are lying everywhere and no one really cares.
ROOMS - we took with a sea view, which we never regretted. The view is super, we are very happy.
The rooms are average... our TV did not work, the shower did not switch, the braid was partially torn off the hair dryer, they supposedly repaired some hole in the bathroom, put a wand in there... the light bulb above the bed did not work, the ceiling fell off the lamp... but the room itself is light and quite pleasant.
There are NO shelves in the closet and this is tin... there is no desk... the closet has doors that move apart and it’s unrealistic to put the suitcase in the closet, it just interfered in the room all the time...
Gel is something smelly and diluted with water. There was no shampoo.
CLEANING in the room - we stopped by, papers were lying on the floor, walking barefoot is unrealistic - feet are immediately dirty, mirrors / doors to the balcony / doors to exit the room are slapped.
Exit from the room (neighbors smoked there) and no one even swept it for 9 days...
In short, with cleaning, tin is everywhere...
FOOD - you can eat, it is not always healthy and tasty, but you can choose. Part of the dishes are chipped... If you want drinks - go to the bar yourself, the waiters never approached us... Coffee - this swill does not even know what coffee is... at the bar near the reception there is only Turkish coffee, it not perfect, but not comparable to what is in a restaurant.
SERVICE - what is it?? ? there is no such thing there... few people know Russian... that "nice" man called Guest Relations is a rare bull, you still need to look for such a boor
All the shortcomings in the room were removed only after I wrote to the tour operator... as there was no response to my requests at the reception
The key card was demagnetized 2 times a day, both with us and with friends and many guests...
Hamam there is cool and the masseur Sultan is just super.
The safe is free which is nice.
So, the queues are huge in restaurants - because, as a rule, there is one person for the entire line of dishes, and until you poke him what you want, until he understands, until he puts it on a plate ...until she swims ...they are in no hurry at all. It would be better if there was a restaurant menu that they bring you everything packaged, it would save time. In principle, there was something, but we must carefully choose and sniff. Once they gave chicken meat with a smell. Choose carefully. The fish was every day, but also carefully. We took it on the grill - ok, but bony.
The fruits are really green. Apples are like grass. Ate watermelon and grapes. Soups are ok - as always in Turkey, not even very spicy.
Only instant coffee, burda, in general. And a self-respecting person cannot order Turkish coffee even for money. This is a five, luxury, baby (wi-fi is free for a certain amount, then you have to pay. Stone age and redneck, as for me.
Sun loungers, deck chairs need to be borrowed early in the morning, since then it is already impossible. The people are resting mainly from the scoop (previously there were more Europeans there, which means that the hotel used to be better). And the people, apparently, are nostalgic for the nineties) or just one ...you want to sit on three chairs ...So they borrow both by the sea and by all the pools, but they sit somewhere in one place. The staff who are supposed to control it don't. In general, the staff does not care at all, he is lazy and clumsy. And slow.
Of the benefits - a large green area, well-groomed, beautiful pools - there is a pool for relaxation, and with music and animation. Animation as everywhere in Turkey.
Once a week Turkish night, and so - some of their ideas. For children, a mini disco, and a mini club, and a bunch of water slides, swings. The promenade between the sea and the hotel - you can walk to Side - we walked slowly for 30 minutes.
Conclusion: we will not go here again, and do not advise anyone. If you want in Side - take the Barut hotels, the area is smaller, but beautiful, compact and modern. Wi-fi is free everywhere, there are no queues anywhere, maybe because there is one person for every two or three dishes, and not one for the entire line. Or a good Can garden hotel - the last one along the promenade. Or the penultimate one in front of Side itself (the old town) - there is a beautiful territory, a homely atmosphere, however, the beach is rocky, but there is one cleared entrance. There is no crowd there - neither on the beach, nor in the restaurant. Everything is better organized there, as in Barut hotels. In September, people said that there were about 100 people in the Can garden. was, it is designed for 600. Of course, this is normal.
Plus, there you take cold dishes yourself, hot dishes are laid by the kitchen worker, drinks are brought by the waiter - and not such a pandemonium for everything, as in Horus. Wi-fi is free everywhere. It seems that only Horus wants to cut down the dough even on the Internet ...tin.
Enjoy your holiday, but certainly not in this redneck hotel.
Pros:
I can’t say anything bad about the rooms and cleaning, everything was wonderful. We were given a two-room suite in a 5-storey building on the 5th floor. And our children for three were also given a two-room apartment on the first floor in a BEACH house. It's an absolutely gorgeous room.
The pools, slides and kids water park are good. The territory is large and well-groomed.
Minuses:
People who lived in the main building complained about the air conditioning.
On the beach with sun loungers in general kapets. They could be freely occupied only at 7 am and 6 pm.
The food is really bad, monotonous and tasteless. Almost all meat products are semi-finished products of low quality. The fruits are all green, they would have to ripen for another week. They ate only watermelons, melons and grapes.
Drinks like UPI are diluted, cocktails in bars are made only alcoholic. Instant coffee only. For some reason, all the halls in the restaurant were closed, except for one, they turned on the air conditioner there, but there was never a place in it, everyone had to eat in the open area. The heat in the open area is terrible, everyone is wet, I wanted to leave as soon as possible, but I still had to find a place to sit down and eat. The tables were cleaned sluggishly, all the staff moved so slowly and sadly that the tourists themselves cleaned the tables and set them too. And the queues are such that they immediately remembered the 90s. Once we stood for half an hour, and this was only for a salad.
Animation is cheap.
This hotel is already our sixth in Turkey (one in July, during the quarantine period), so there is something to compare with.
Conclusion: This hotel is the worst hotel we've ever been to.
1. Number
Our room was on the 2nd floor in the main building. The main negative - Near the elevator. At first they wanted to change, but they did not come to the reception in time and in the end they said that there were no rooms. In principle, this did not bother us much, but in the morning the elevator was like an alarm clock, people went to breakfast. The room itself is normal, not new. There is no clothes dryer on the balcony. I had to dry my clothes on chairs. Very small TV. again, all this is a trifle, but children watched TV. There was a safe - free of charge. There is also a refrigerator - replenished with water and mineral water. Cleaning in the room was more than decent. They asked to clean up before lunch, because. the children slept at lunchtime - without problems and surcharges. The condo worked perfectly, I make an emphasis, because. many complained that the air conditioner did not work well and it was very stuffy in the room. The room was overlooking the wall of a neighboring hotel, but it didn't matter, because. we only slept there.
Having thrown things into the room, we ran to have dinner, around 21... Somehow we managed to get food out of that. what is left, because The food in the restaurant has already been taken away. I didn't like the lack of time to eat. I rested in Turkey 7 times, the last 3 years in Side, there is something to compare. And in other hotels it was so that whenever you came, you could eat and no one was in a hurry to clean up the food.
2. Restaurant
The restaurant is located on the -2 floor, there are almost always queues for the elevator, both there and back. At the entrance, a man stands, measures the temperature with an electronic thermometer. Entrance is mandatory in a mask, without it they will not let you in. Children are allowed without a mask. In the first 4 days, the buffet was as always - the food was served by ourselves. but with gloves, they were given at the entrance to the restaurant. Then they put the staff, who already imposed himself and there was a feeling all the time. that I beg for food with the words "MORE", because I took food for the whole family, count, and imposed as "stolen". Queues formed, and now you are standing in a mask with plates and there is a queue at each table. By the time I got my food, all the tables were already occupied. We then shared who went to take food, who took a place. Basically, everyone ate on the veranda on the street, but if they didn’t have time to take a seat, they ate in the hall, but it was very stuffy there, because. All air conditioners in the hotel worked at a minimum. The food itself is quite the same. Breakfast is consistently the same. Of course, no one was left hungry, but in comparison with other hotels, the food is monotonous. but no one got hurt, this is a big plus. Drinks - delicious beer "Tuborg", wine - well... they drank sometimes. Whiskey husband said - eeee. like cognac, he sometimes drank tequila, the lobby bar had cocktails like Sex on the Beach. There was an a la carte restaurant, but we did not get there, we were told that there was nothing special. Also near the beach there was a restaurant with fast food, we went a couple of times, there my aunt baked delicious cakes, for which the queue is always like in the Mausoleum.
3. Beach
Here I will sing deferambs, because the sea and the beach are unreal. The sea is very cool, clean, warm, we got high. The beach is normal: beds, towels, of course, everything was enough in the first days, until tourists arrived and here it became fun. After breakfast you come to the beach, but there are no places. Well, that's it, well, that's not a single sunbed. People had to lie on towels on the sand. Not critical of course, but this is Turkey, all inclusive, and not the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory. But I turn a blind eye to this, because. the sea and the sun blocked all unpleasant thoughts. The entrance to the sea is gentle and sandy, not a single pebble. For kids, it's just perfect. Wide strip of beach. A lot of children with their parents built sand castles and played. swam with children to the buoys, you can see the bottom, the sea is clean. By the way, no one wore a mask on the beach or the hotel territory and there were no distances at all. Everyone set up their beds as they were comfortable.
4. Hotel area
The territory is not small, there is where to walk. Grow pomegranates, oranges, some herbs, from which the aroma of mmmm, especially in the evening. Many pools, but we are not fans, were not at all. There are adult and children's slides, cool. We've taken the kids a few times and everyone loves it. Not all adult slides worked, but those that were quite extreme. There is a kids club, but I'm not sure if it worked, we didn't go. 1 time I saw how aerobics was in the sea, maybe it took place in the pool. There was also a bungee on which you roll through the entire hotel, but it is PAYABLE. Our son rode, he was impressed. The big plus of this hotel is the presence of promed. This is a walking path along the waterfront. The promenade is between the hotel and the beach. In the evening we often walked, there are cafes, restaurants, ice cream....By the way, the hotel gave ice cream for free from 15 to 16, it seems, at the time when the children are sleeping. Never ate. If you leave the hotel, you find yourself on the street, where there are also many cafes, shops, ATMs, they sell excursions. You can walk to the city of Manavgat, but we failed. We were just walking.
5. Infrastructure
Of course, as in any 5 * hotel there is a hammam, sauna, indoor pool, paid massage. I won’t give a review - we didn’t go. There are shops: leather, furs, bags, sweets, all sorts of necessary gizmos - such as sand toys, flip flops, circles. there are slot machines downstairs, they worked in the evenings. Photo services - we took a family photo shoot, a rip-off. They lure you in by any means, and then they tear up the price tag. The price of one photo is 7 dollars. The beach offers water activities - parachute, banana, scooter, bun. But the price tag bites, definitely more expensive than our previous trips to Turkey. but oddly enough people rode.
6. Entertainment.
The animation was. . . We thought that there would be no fun because of the covid, but there was still something. Mini disco every day at 20-30. The shows themselves were so-so, dancers and tricksters came several times (on bikes, roller skates and skateboards). And so - Mr. and Mrs. of the hotel, sketches, something like guess the melody. We didn't always go. There was no foam party, live music, too, as in many other hotels, however, as well as discos for adults. But we didn’t suffer because of this, I’m just writing to those who expect to hang out - it won’t work out much.
The hotel guide offered excursions. We initially decided that we would not go anywhere, because. a small child, it will be difficult with him. But he was very persistent and infuriated with the words: "Why don't you go anywhere at all? Pirozhkovo-bakery rest? " For the sake of interest, they asked about excursions on the street, usually it is always cheaper there, but not this time. In my opinion, it was even cheaper to take from a tour operator and more comfortable.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE, IN BRIEF
1. Paid Internet. Where in 5 * was a paid Internet? The lobby has always been free. Here, at the entrance, 256 or something megabytes and that's it, then 1 hour - $ 1.3 hours -....$, 1 day -....$, well, etc. I don't remember the exact numbers. Many bought local sims.
2. On the penultimate evening before departure, it turned out that our flight had been changed and we were leaving early in the morning, leaving the hotel at night. Went to reception and asked for a lunchbox. WHAT? Launch Box? No, they didn’t hear... They are not there from the word at all. And in the restaurant, the food is removed early, so we didn’t have time for the children to take anything at least for breakfast, but they don’t feed on the plane. With the last money we bought a sandwich for the airports.
3. I did not like the guide Odeon Tours, who drove us to the airport - boorish. At night, many children are sleeping, and she is so rude "I said put on masks, I'm not going to joke with you here. I'll stop the bus if anyone has masks. " So if CORAL TRAVEL or ONE TOURS read the reviews, choose the staff more carefully, it's just unpleasant.
As a result, 2 days out of 12 just flew out for us, because. We arrived at 20:00 and left at 3:00. Of course, no one will return any money, even if you stayed at the hotel for only 2-3 hours at night. It still pays for the whole day. And as our manager later told me, "these are charters, unfortunately, this happens. " There were questionnaires again on the plane, and then we handed them in at the airport. There we ticked the box that we were required to pass tests for covid within 3 days, which we did.
In general, we had a good rest, the hotel has both pluses and minuses, however, like everywhere else. We did not focus on them and tried to enjoy the sea and the sun.
And about what they sing us here, you can talk separately! It is impossible to drink wine, instead of juices they give something similar to yupi, only this yupi is also diluted with water 100 times !!!! ! We only drink water! Ice cream is given once a day for half an hour and such a queue is built up that while your turn comes, everything closes in front of your nose and they don’t give a damn about you and your child what he will eat here! Almost everyone serves us without gloves, we stand in queues for everything, and when you ask to put something more, they will even cut you a piece of watermelon! It's just kind of creepy!
The lock in the room broke down, we couldn’t get into the room for 6 hours until we called our guide and made a scandal to them, they just don’t care about you We rest here as a family of 6 people, paid almost half a million, worked for a year to go on vacation and got one disappointment and sediment in the soul! Turkey is not at all the same as before, when we enjoyed our holidays and had good memories for a year!
