We rested at RAYMAR HOTEL from May 27 to June 7.2019, four of us - me, my husband and two children. The hotel was chosen from the wishes in the form of the region, rooms, food and animation. Unfortunately, there were few offers for Side, so the choice fell on Raymar, especially since he had a good discount at that moment.
We arrived at the hotel at 10:40 am, after 10 minutes we entered the room on the 8th floor overlooking the river, the pool with slides and the sea! The friendly girl at the reception Alesya quickly resolved the issue with the settlement without any additional payments. The first impression of the scurrying swallows was a shock, there were so many of them before, but then they got used to it and did not pay attention to them. It was even fun to watch them! They even fed their chicks in the nests on our balcony.
Since the room was overlooking the river (it is called Uluguneychay) and the neighboring Perre Delta hotel, we were not disturbed by the noise from the highway. But during the day, the music that was put by the animators of PerreDelta flew quite clearly into our room - time-tested hits of the 1980s and 1990s.

Everything in the room was clean and whole, everything worked. Spacious closet with lots of hangers, free safe, symbolic refrigerator, LCD TV, plumbing all functioned. There are 4 of us - 3 beds and a folding chair-bed. The mini-bar is replenished daily with juices, water with and without soda. Upon check-in, there were slippers and a set of shampoos, shower gels, lotion and even hair balm, everything is reported as far as absence.
Cleaning in general is not bad, apparently depends on the cleaner. We came across a nice woman who did the cleaning for half of the rest and spun the swans until lunch, but then apparently a lot of vacationers arrived and the cleaning was postponed to the afternoon. At the request, she began to clean the balcony, no problem. They thanked her a couple of times with a tip in the form of a dollar. In general, the staff here is very hospitable and responsive, they try to please in everything, it is felt everywhere. Many Russian speakers, we talked to many, mostly students who are doing internships at the hotel.
The contingent of vacationers is diverse - Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Europe, represented by Germans, Hungarians, Estonians, Romanians. After Uraza Bayram, many local Turks arrived (many arrived in their cars, the parking in front of the hotel was full of them).
The sea has a pebbly bottom, the sand is bulk only at the beginning, the entry is not very comfortable for children, but we have heard about this. There is quite a decent pier, swam from it too. Perhaps the sea is not with the best coast in Side, but they got used to it.
My husband had a birthday during his stay at the hotel, a beautiful plate of fruit and a bottle of pomegranate wine were delivered to the room as a gift. To this - cutlery and two glasses.
The area is not big, but very well thought out. A pleasant promenade to the sea, a lot of greenery and flowers, everything is watered and ennobled. There is indeed a stinky river nearby, but from the height of the 8th floor we did not feel any smell! But there are no neighboring hotels close to each other, when the windows of one hotel look into the windows of the next... There are 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor one. The first pool is occupied by European tourists, the second is more for children and families, because it has slides. The peas are good, the children rolled from the heart! Slides are open from 10:00 to 12:00, then from 15:00 to 17:00.

The food is so excellent for me, a lot of meat-chicken-turkey, a variety of side dishes, fish every day, there were steaks, salmon-trout, a lot of grill, sushi, they try to diversify the menu. The breakfasts are delicious, they fry scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, crumpets, waffles... I was pleased with the diet corner. At first there were not many fruits, but then they began to expand the assortment. Desserts are beyond praise, not just some sweet Turkish sweets, but quite worthy cakes and pies! The chef walks around the hall, controls everything. There is a snack bar closer to the sea, we also dined there. Always grilled meat, burgers, fries and delicious gozleme.
As for alcohol, my husband praised beer, and there are 2 types of it, Tuborg is everywhere, and Carlsberg is also poured in the bar (from 10 am to midnight). I personally drank local Baileys with coffee. Cocktails are poured, preferred Mojito and Pina Colada at the bar.
Here is the ice cream, or rather the process of issuing it, upset me. The crowd of those wishing and the low probability of waiting for it beat off all the desire to try it. For 12 days they ate it 1 time! Children were bought ice cream in Sech-market, during evening walks.
The animation in Raymar is very decent, they don't let you get bored! Yoga, zumba, water aerobics with Olya, a very athletic girl! Our children are already big - 11 and 13 years old, they didn’t go to the mini-club, but everyone praised Dasha. Evening performances alternated between visiting artists and local shows. Cuban acrobats and Mongolian gymnasts were especially impressed! People played darts, volleyball, shot from an air rifle, there were competitions by the pool, in general, it was not boring.
The hotel itself is located at the very end of Side (the easternmost edge of the village of Orenshehir, further - the river, after which the village of Okurcalar begins, belonging to the municipality of Alanya), this is its main disadvantage, but you can still walk left and right. In the direction of Alanya, we reached Soho Bazaar, where it is quite worthy shopping. And if you go to the left (on the other side of the D400 Antalya-Mersin highway, after the BP gas station), you can buy textiles from Abuzar, a bunch of sweets from Anvar, buy at Sech-Market at low prices in liras (they also accept cards for payment Visa/MasterCard).

We went to Ancient Side on our own, it's certainly tiring, but Apollo Temple is worth it! We went in the evening, of course we returned tired, but satisfied! There are no direct buses to the city of Side, you need to change at the bus station in Manavgat. We went to Alanya during the day, also not close, but at least without transfers, in a straight line. On foot from the bus station we reached the Kyzyl Kule tower, the views there are gorgeous! On the way back from the tower to the bus station in Alanya, we went to the local 4-storey clothing store "LC Waikiki" - there the choice is much better than in the stores of the same name in Russia and Kazakhstan, the prices for almost everything are also lower.
It is more profitable to pay for transport in lira, and not in dollars - because the dollar exchange rate among carriers is shamelessly underestimated.
We did not take excursions, because we had already visited many places on previous trips. I did not like the guide Mavlyud from the meeting side of "Fit Holidays", an arrogant type, clumsily imposing his proposals. His prices are at least twice as high as those of local travel agencies.
Wi Fi was free (the password was given upon check-in) and was caught throughout the territory (except the beach). Oddly enough, the most stable reception was near the pool with slides. In the lobby (on the second floor, near the bar), the best reception is on the sofa near the white piano.
There are three elevators in the hotel (all with glass walls), and the middle and right ones were installed earlier and work together (from one call button). The left elevator is newer, called by a separate button.
I would like to draw attention to the observance of a simple safety rule - do not use glassware near the pool. Some vacationers still brought beer and wine in glasses, and then dropped them on the concrete floor - and here children run over the fragments. Splinters were seen near both outdoor pools. Tourists! Think not only about your comfort, but also the safety of yourself and your children!
Life hack from my husband. Electricity in the room, as in all hotels, is turned on when a card key is inserted in the hallway. But if you need to leave, while the electricity must be left on (for example, you left your gadget on charge), instead of your native card, you can insert any card with an NFC chip. An overdue bank card (supporting contactless payments) and an Alma-Ata city transport payment card have just earned. You can also insert a paper one-time ticket from the Moscow metro.

In the end, I want to say that we liked the rest in Raymar! There were very small expected cons, but they were blocked by positive emotions! Read reviews carefully to know what to expect.
