On the evening of the day of arrival, my room 6404 was robbed. When I left for dinner, the thief entered the room through the balcony door, which, as it turned out, opened easily from the outside, and took away a $600 Sony DSC-RX100m3 camera (S/N 4078616), spare batteries, a black iPod nano 7 player with headphones , backpack, power bank and sunglasses.
Wrote a letter, which was handed over to the hotel management. The security service said that there were no CCTV cameras in this place and advised them to file a complaint with the police. Twice the technician came to fix the lock on the balcony door, but the door still opened from the outside.
The next day I changed my room, but my misadventures in a five-star hotel did not end there. On the first night in another room 1454, I felt itchy and in the morning I saw redness on my skin, but I thought it was because of the sun. On the second night, my legs and arms began to itch unbearably. Turned on the light in the middle of the night and found bed bugs. I forgot about normal sleep and began to fight with blood-sucking insects. After the third sleepless night, I realized that I needed to urgently move again - I got a new number.
Tired of a bad dream, stressed and robbed, he realized that he didn’t have to travel to countries he had already visited.
I once liked the comparison of Turkey with old house slippers: maybe bored, but warm and cozy. For me, the slippers were torn. Good old Turkey smiled with sunny days in early December and warm sea, but instead of a smile, I saw a grimace. I wouldn't even wish this hotel on my worst enemy.
Want a truly five-star royal holiday? Do you want to be robbed upon arrival and hear that the administration is not responsible for things not left in the safe? Do you want to feed blood-sucking insects at night? Welcome to Crystal Sunrise Queen, with thieves and bedbugs for 5 stars(
Vacation went great!
We arrived at the hotel in the evening, so the check-in went perfectly, quickly and without any additional payments. The hotel, of course, is already old, but we were only in the hotel to take a shower, change clothes and sleep, and everything is on the territory or on the embankment. The territory is large, all in greenery, THE BEAUTY! The hotel service is excellent, the staff is good-natured, I did not notice that the staff treated foreigners better than Russians. One drawback is the BEACH. Very large stones and very slippery, we had to go to swim on the beach of another hotel, our beach was very well cleaned, but stones..... If you came to rest, and not to look for cons, YOU are here. Rest is excellent. Yes, the hotel is family-run, there are a lot of children and parents, grandparents and foreigners.
EVERYONE have a great holiday. I can answer anyone who needs about the hotel scvorecz@mail. ru Grandfather
Great hotel, great food, friendly staff.
A lot of Germans in the hotel. The animation is also good, but more suitable for adults. It is possible to visit several a la carte restaurants for free. Of course, due to the fact that the main contingent of Europeans, the staff is spoiled for tips, but if you are not greedy, then you will be carried in your arms =) I recommend the hotel more for adults, there are more people 40+ in the hotel itself. There are few children.
Now in more detail) Check-in - arrived early in the morning - settled immediately without money. The room was in a separate building. By the way, the case is normal (I just met reviews that it is bad in it). We had a family room - everything worked, the room was clean with a view of the children's pool. Cleaned daily, the bar was also replenished daily. All towels were changed every day (not only those that were thrown on the floor).
The food - as many have already written - is very good and varied. The fish was different every day, often - seafood (squid, shrimp, mussels), different meat - lamb, beef, chicken. Fruit - a lot. Ice cream at every step - take as much as you want! ) I really liked the cocktails and beer. Dishes in the main restaurant are also worthy, everything is tasty and varied. We didn't go to a la carte.
Beach and sea are great! The beach is clean, sandy and the entry into the sea is gentle and large shallow. The water warms up great. Swimming is a pleasure. The bottom is sandy, sometimes stones came across, but there are not many of them. For children - a wonderful beach.
The territory of the hotel is large, all in terraces, so the sea can be seen from almost everywhere. Words can not describe, more photos will tell. A lot of elevators and stairs - on the first day they got confused around the territory, but figured it out. In general, the architecture is interesting. Several pools. There are bars next to them - drinks, ice cream, fruits - everything is nearby all day long.
Of the minuses -1) poor Wi-Fi (it only catches normally closer to the reception), 2) very old (but clean) beach towels (I think this is not acceptable for 5 *), 3) they constantly smoked everywhere, there is no non-smoking area, which strained both us and the children, 4) the animation is rather weak (there is simply something to compare with).
And so everything was fine and the mood, and the weather and the sea! Have a nice holiday everyone!
Accommodation - the rooms are large, overlooking the garden or the sea. The main building and the family rooms (with two rooms in a separate building) are all functional. Lobby - wonderful furniture - 2 tiers, chandeliers, decor - in the evening it is very pleasant to sit. We took a bunch of board games and played after dinner. The lobby bar is open 24 hours - the service is excellent, real Turkish coffee, tea - everything is very high quality. This is very important - because. spend a lot of time inside in the winter.
SPA - indoor heated pool with a glass wall overlooking the sea - just a miracle. There is a bar with drinks and pastries with fruit. Hamam and 3 types of saunas. We spent every hour from 4 pm there.
Territory - the first line, its own beach. Very interesting architecture - the terraces cascade down to the beach - the sea views are amazing! Cafes are open on the terraces - you can enjoy the view of the sunset or the sea with a cup of coffee or tea. The pools and garden are also very beautiful. Panoramic elevator.
The location of the hotel is very good - 20 minutes walk to Side along the promenade along the sea.
The weather for the New Year is mostly good. It was sunny all 9 days, by the end it became colder and windy. At first it was up to +17 (we sat on deck chairs on the sea in T-shirts), then it became +3. We always walked along the beach - the views are excellent - the mountains, the beautiful color of the sea, the sea breeze...
Food: amazing. A cook with golden hands. We specifically choose this hotel for the winter because of the food. Grilled fish (sea bass, sea bream, bream), lamb, cold appetizers, pastries deserve the highest praise. The decor of the evenings - Turkish night, Sea evening - just super. Restaurant with a glass wall overlooking the sea.
From entertainment - there was billiards (for a fee - $ 5 per hour), table tennis - for free. Bowling - for a fee.
From the hotel it is convenient to get to Manavgat there is a bazaar and shops) and Side. We recommend this hotel - wonderful New Year's holiday
In the room - constantly replenished bar.
Now for the controversial points. Many write that when buying a standard room in the season, Russians are accommodated in a separate building. We were out of season, we were settled in the main building. We saw a detached building, it was not inhabited in April, but it is terrible. Therefore, in order not to get into it, it is necessary, apparently, to immediately buy a tour with a number (terrace room, terraces... in general, with a terrace), then you will get a guaranteed room in a normal building.
Housekeeping is very poor, I have not come across such a low level for a long time. There were stains and dirt, sometimes the room was not cleaned until 4 pm, I had to look for them and remind them. The same with the bar - for three days they did not update its content until they themselves asked.
Most of the holidaymakers are elderly German couples. This explains a lot - and the orientation of the staff to their service (felt a little, but without excesses), and the communication of staff with tourists is more in German, and rather sad animation.
What was most alarming was that during the season, with the maximum occupancy of the hotel, the staff will definitely not be able to cope with effective service. During our time, about 40% of the rooms were occupied, but interruptions in work were already felt, it was difficult to find free places at breakfast, lunch and dinner, many pools are at the level of the balconies of the rooms, so it’s definitely not possible to stay in peace and quiet.
And one more thing: we got drunk with local cocktails, after which we took only beer. There is a feeling that drinks that are used for cocktails (alcohol) of rather low quality save money. My husband and I drank three cocktails, not on an empty stomach, but at night it was bad. After that, they stopped drinking alcohol in the hotel, except for local wine and beer.
And they fell for the bait of a local offer called "free visits to a la carte restaurants, " by appointment.
This is rather a fun game for the hotel staff in a supposedly decent restaurant story. They don’t know how to cook fish at all, everything is very beautiful in design, in filling - they regretted that they didn’t go to a regular hotel restaurant for dinner, everything is much tastier there.
I summarize: the hotel is clearly not 5-star, beautiful, but old, in the season there may be interruptions in the speed of service. April was great. Have a good rest!
