Of all the hotels in Side, this time the choice fell on the Commodore Elite Suites & Spa 5 *. The main criteria were 1st line, sandy beach, high rating, calm quiet environment without intrusive overly noisy animation. This hotel met all our expectations, besides it was the only 18+ (adults only) hotel in the area. We flew with Aeroflot from Sheremetyevo. There on a comfortable brand new Airbus A-33.300, but back on an old IL-96 (heaven and earth). When leaving the airport, we were very surprised - NOBODY met us. We had a tour operator SUNMAR, none of the representatives were there. I had to run around and find out from other operators about our transfer to the hotel. It turned out that SUNMAR is the same as Sunrise (who else would have warned us!!! ). Fortunately, they apologized to us and quickly put us in a minibus, and we immediately went, alone together, there was not even a guide on the bus - cool! We were at the hotel about an hour later. The time was 14-00, we were "ringed" and sent to dinner, after which we were quickly settled in a room. Five minutes later they brought a bottle of wine and fruit to the room - very handy!
The contingent of vacationers is 90 percent Germans (mostly married couples over 40-50 and a pension), another 5 percent is the English-speaking public over 40, and our Slavs are about five percent of the same age category. There were very few young couples. Perhaps this circumstance, plus the complete absence of children, made the stay at this hotel quiet and peaceful. Throw in some great food with a mandatory dinner dress code, and you have that unforgettable atmosphere of sophistication and at the same time casualness, if you want. If breakfasts, perhaps, are no different from other hotels in terms of their assortment, then for lunch the chefs always tried to cook something new, but as for dinners, I repeat, only one thing can be said - lovely! Firstly, dinners, as a rule, were themed, i. e. for example, today is the day of Chinese cuisine, then - the day of Mexican cuisine, then - Japanese, Italian, Turkish, etc. Secondly, candles on tables decorated with the flag of the respective country, fast and attentive service of waiters who are always ready to exchange a few words with you, joke, find out how you are doing and whether everything suits you. And thirdly - for 10 days the menu has never been repeated! And do not believe those who claim that none of the servants speak Russian! This is a lie, as well as the fact that some kind of preference is being made for the Germans. In any case, neither in the restaurant, nor at the reception, nor in the city, we did not notice any neglect. On the contrary, the Turks, having learned that we were from Russia, immediately began to smile, trying to speak Russian. One Turk became so emotional that he climbed up to hug. He said that the Germans had already got it, and at that time there were very few Russians left in the hotel. It was nice!
Now for the number. We took ELITE SUITE. We had room 6507. This is the topmost attic floor, but the ceilings are straight and high. In principle, the description of the room on the site coincides with reality, with the exception of only the area. The declared 40-50 meters did not smell, at most about 30, but we were not upset at all, because the direct view of the sea was just amazing - beautiful sunsets and a moonlit path, - beauty! And the smells from restaurants did not reach us. There are no irons in the rooms, take your own. The minibar and the safe are free, the TV is a 32" panel with limited volume and there is no USB socket in it!! ! Three Russian channels, "Let's Get Married" and Malakhov are chasing ORT for days, I wonder if someone watches them in Turkey ?? ? DVD player and Sony Playststion 3 (albeit without a joystick, wires and disks - why is it needed at all? ) Cleaned well, every day change of towels, linen - 2-3 times a week, tips were left every other time. When you check in, remember that everyone is odd the rooms look at the sea (the best ones end with 07.09, 11 and 13), and all the even ones overlook the wasteland and hotels of the 2nd line.

The beach has gray-yellow sand, a very convenient gentle entrance to the sea, the water at that time was very clean and warm, without algae, the bottom was sandy without stones - super! You could always find sunbeds. For lunch we sometimes went to a small restaurant on the beach, the food is the same, except for the first courses.
Indoor pool - did not use. 2 outdoor pools right in front of the main building, sunbeds should be occupied already from 7 am, the water in the pools is cool, another small pool with 2 slides (for some reason it worked only 2 hours a day). The hotel also has 10 rooms with their own private pool, the entrance is directly from the room, but the depth is only 90 cm! Towels were given free of charge and changed throughout the day at the spa in the main building.
Animation - show programs were held every other day, they liked the Chinese circus, the Brazilians also lit up well!
On other days live music, karaoke. almost everything is in German.
In general, I really liked the hotel, it is no coincidence that it is called elite. Of course, young people have nothing to do here, but for those over 40, I think comfort, peace and tranquility will be to their liking. Who has questions. I will answer with pleasure.
