As a result, on August 14.2008, gendarmes closed Calypso Beach, cut off telephone communications, etc. The hotel was declared bankrupt. The staff was not paid, the chef in the last days of the hotel bought napkins, etc. at his own expense. The guests were moved to another hotel.
