We decided to have a rest in Turkey, we chose the Riviera company as a tour operator, and the Tropikal hotel as the location of Marmaris. We arrived on September 23.2007 and spent 2 weeks.
The hotel area is very green, the rooms are in excellent condition, cleaning was carried out every day, the pool was cleaned regularly. The best rooms in the hotel are those with a sea view, there are unfortunate rooms next to the central air conditioner, it is very noisy there. It is better to immediately pay extra for a sea view in a travel agency, then you are guaranteed to have an excellent room like ours. The food in the restaurant is good, soups were especially successful, but they don’t know how to cook fish. For two weeks, once cooked mussels in batter. Fruit was enough: fragrant oranges, sweet watermelons, delicious plums, melons, grapes. The beach is not very big, sand with small pebbles. There were enough beds for everyone. The sea is clean and pleasant. In general, we were very pleased with the rest!
But I would like to remind precious tourists: BE AWARE!
Turkish citizens and hotel staff try to make money on everything. On the day of departure, they may not warn that dinner is paid, even if you paid for an additional stay at the hotel. And the bill for dinner is 3 times more expensive than in a nearby cafe.
And more about local excursions. Everything is usually more expensive at the tour operator, cheaper on the street, often of good quality. But you should not contact the firm "No name"! They are not trustworthy. They don't provide what you pay for.
