Friendly staff, rooms are normal as someone in principle.
There is no animation in the hotel, they say in connection with the pandemic, but in neighboring hotels it is, although exactly 24-00 hours later the city falls asleep.
On the level of Egypt, food is cheap and tasteless in sufficient quantities of beer, cola, etc. , not the original.
Last year, rested at a nearby hotel for the price of what to compare there with the brighter beer original Tuborg, Pepsi, etc.
In principle, the hotel is normal, but now they save a lot.
I really liked the friendly staff.
Yes, we are budget tourists and wanted to save money in general and I must say we didn’t ask our friends about hotels in Turkey (but we should have) - after all, everyone says “in Turkey, the service is excellent, good hotels, delicious food, etc. ” Well, in this hotel we did not receive any of the above! We were very stupid because of our naivety, having bought a "fortune 4 *", thinking that in Turkey all 4 * hotels should be at the level of 4 stars) As a result, as the locals themselves and the guide from the tour operator told us - the stars in Turkey are completely their own system , which does not meet international standards, especially in Marmaris)
Briefly: upon arrival we were accommodated in a subsidiary hotel - https://www.turpravda.com/tr/marmaris/Pineta_Club_Hotel-h7920.html? utm_source=informer-htl&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=7920
Everything there was below the baseboard, and even for the price that we paid for the tour - about $ 900 for three - it was very overpriced for the absolute unsanitary conditions in the rooms, in the hotel lobbies, in the dining room - devastation and dirt simply reigned there - we couldn’t even stay in a room - rooms ala camp site in Genichesk for 50 UAH per person - collapsed beds, all stained, broken chairs, air conditioning 100 years ago ...We demanded from the tour operator to settle us in 4 *, as it was in the contract) On that we were sent. Moreover, it should be noted that we went through TUI - and alas, their local representative - there was a woman with a severe fumes and a face swollen from alcoholism, who barely moved her tongue - I do not advise you to cooperate with this tour operator either - they do not want to take on themselves no obligations, preferring to leave their customers dissatisfied (
At the same time, we were offered to move to their 5 * daughter hotel (no joke, they told us so) - this is this Pineta Park Deluxe Hotel 4 * - with a surcharge of $ 100 per person) We were taken there, shown the rooms and we agreed for a surcharge, if only because it was possible to stay in the rooms here - not 5 * far, of course! But at least without broken beds and air conditioning + -, which for Turkey is a key point in the rooms)
According to this hotel - the staff in the dining room, at the reception and throughout the hotel are very rude (not all, of course, but many) - they were often impudent, openly rude, looked at with hatred (especially in the dining room) - it was dumb to take food from the hands of such people. And not in vain - on the 3rd day I got poisoned with watermelon and melon, which tasted like they were soaked in washing powder - there was a strange chemical aftertaste.
After that, my family and I didn’t eat anymore in the hotel dining room - we bought up at the supermarket (But in fact there was almost nothing to eat there, except for salads and vegetables (which we ate all 3 days) - because the rest is the same every day too - terrible fries with terrible cheap semi-cooked nuggets and stuff like that, except that some boiled rice with an egg could still be eaten) even pancakes for breakfast were disgusting - just soda with flour - it's impossible to eat!
The cherry on the cake happened on the 1st day - due to quarantine, all the cutlery in the dining room was wrapped in paper packages and you come up, take it and go to unpack. So when I unpacked my set - it turned out that it was absolutely not washed! There was a dirty fork sticking with food and of course we almost vomited right there - and this despite the fact that the coronavirus is raging in the world, and they promised safety and sanitation! )) Photos are attached; )
Now about the sea - it takes about 10-15 minutes to go to it - but this is only to the Marmaris embankment! There are no normal beaches where you can lie down and swim in the clear sea - almost all the beaches are from private hotels and you cannot go there - this is only for hotel guests. In Marmaris itself, the sea is quite dirty, there are a lot of people, and again, there are no sandy or pebble beaches. However, you can walk along the promenade (or it’s better to drive up) to neighboring Icmeler, where there are not so many people, the cleanest sea and there are cool beaches - minus one - paid sun loungers - there is only one way) I can advise Nirvana beach (not reaching Icmeler itself - we went on a local minibus) - there is an excellent sea and few people. Total - it's better to pay extra for a hotel with its own beach and not spend extra money and effort on moving, looking for a normal beach and paying extra for sunbeds.
I caught the Internet only on the 1st floor after the reception desk and caught it so weakly that it constantly fell off.
The hotel area is very small - the body itself and the pool - there are some sun loungers around it.
Access to drinking water was closed - just to get drinking water - you had to come with your bottle to the bar and ask them to pour it there.
Rooms - more or less, everything is old-worn, 3 * maximum will be pulled) But at least there were no unpleasant odors, as with the previous Pineta.
Oh yes - the hotel is located close to the forest and you could often meet herds of wild pigs around - but this can even be a plus - wildlife)))
From the locals, we also heard that in this very hotel there was recently a large-scale poisoning of tourists - E. coli in the kitchen - the floor of the hotel was taken by ambulance with severe food poisoning after another tasteless dinner)
Oh, and not far from the hotel - the main mosque of the city - so every day at 5 am, 5 pm get ready to howl prayers into the loudspeaker)
I would never recommend this hotel for a holiday!
Tui and the Fortune system, I would not recommend anyone to try either! )
The hotel looks 20 years old and has never been renovated. Food is monotonous every day and not always delicious. The staff is not customer-oriented. The Internet needs to be caught in the lobby, and not always successfully. To the beach to go 5-7 minutes and you need to buy a bed or a drink near the cafe. The hotel does not have beach towels. Until the owner does something about it, I can not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Marmaris himself liked it very much. Turtles on the beach, landscapes and the old center. I want to come back again, but not to this hotel!
The waiters are prompt and polite. Minus - there is no beach, but they are not tied to a place. Marmaris is a beautiful city. Will I come again - yes! To this hotel for the same price? Yes Yes! And I will bring more friends!
HOTEL. We rested in it from 19.08-26.08. 18.
The hotel itself is actually not so terrible, read the reviews before the rest, expected much worse, but in fact everything is not even bad. We flew in before the Eid al-Adha holiday and first settled the Turks, then us, but we were still lucky with the check-in, the guide Sergey said on the bus that he was constantly in this hotel, helping everyone with the check-in and that he had a good relationship with the staff and all its vacationers are given good rooms, we were settled in block B, on the 5th floor. The guide said that block A seems to be the worst, block B is good, and block C is even better, but only Turks are accommodated there. The room was good, with a balcony and a view of the coniferous forest and the mosque.
All the way, the guide on the bus, Sergey (he was also our guide at the hotel, he said he was the only Russian-speaking guide from the biblio globe in Marmaris, i. e. he met and settled and saw us off) frightened us with this hotel. As soon as we got on the bus, he began to give information about hotels and gave a lot of information about Pineta. I even scared that there are rooms without windows, with a shower with cold water and much more)). About the room itself: the air conditioner worked perfectly, blew cold air, didn’t clutter and didn’t make any other sounds; the shower was normal and cold and warm water, only it is not convenient because there is just a watering can without a cabin, and when you wash for a long time, the water starts to pour out of the bathroom, but that's okay, you can turn it off, wait a minute until it merges and turn it on again; there was a TV there were several Russian channels, even TNT; the bed is comfortable; the view from the balcony is beautiful, in the evening, before dinner, you could constantly see wild boars from the balcony, which descended from the mountains and walked right along the road, the guide told us about them))
Somewhere at 5-5:30 in the morning you can hear how they sing from the mosque)) but she did not wake us up.
DINING ROOM. Food, of course, is not enough for us Russians, but we are used to eating borscht and dumplings in the morning, but you must understand that this is a different country and they have their own traditional dishes. In the morning, breakfast alternates between scrambled eggs, then pancakes, then fried sausage, there are always salads (cucumbers, tomatoes, greens), various types of jam, jam, there is also honey, cereal with milk, tea / coffee, cheeses. (The guide on the tour told us that their food is very healthy and their traditional breakfast can consist of crackers with milk and olives, or a sandwich)
Lunch: eat chicken, rice, spaghetti, nuggets, soups. The same can be said for dinner.
BEACH. It takes about 5-7 minutes to go to it, leave the hotel and go all the time down in a straight line, across the road. It’s very dangerous for them to cross the road, there are a lot of pedestrian crossings, but no one will stop you, as if it’s not in the rules for them to stop in front of a pedestrian, so be careful, they rush headlong.
Pineta does not have its own beach with sun loungers / umbrellas. We went to the beach from the DORA Beach hotel, this is how you get to the sea and to the right. There are sun loungers with yellow mattresses and this Dora is standing in front of them. I’ll tell you a secret, we never paid for the sunbeds, but just gently lay down on them from the edge, where it was fenced with tape and lay all day, for lunch, when we left, we left our towels on them. Also bought from them, from the hotel, ice cream is very tasty oreo. But in order to lie on the sunbeds, the watching guys can tell you to pay or buy a cocktail, ice cream will not be enough to take a sun lounger, we were just lucky and no one noticed us when we occupied the sun loungers.
The sea is gorgeous, transparent, you can see your legs even if you swim at a depth. Everyone writes that it hurts to go into the sea, Lord, you are like old grandfathers, it is very useful and the pebbles are small there, and when you go there is already sand.
We were still very lucky, we saw a huge turtle on this beach, it is called Carriage Carriage, when we were sunbathing a little boy with a mask swam and screamed a turtle! Everyone ran to watch it, it was visible at a depth without even diving, and my husband bought glasses for lunch and then we watched it until the evening, took a lot of pictures and videos. She is very large, more than a 5-year-old child))
EXCURSIONS. This is probably the most interesting part)) Do not rush to buy excursions from a hotel guide. Yes, he will intimidate you that it is dangerous to buy from street vendors. But nothing like that, everything is the same only twice cheaper. We took excursions, of course, as you guessed from Islam the Magnificent! )) you won’t pass him by, in front of his house there is a big sign that’s like going to the sea in a straight line. A very nice young man, speaks excellent Russian, very polite and he also has a little assistant, his brother, like. They both speak excellent Russian. We bought two excursions from him to the Aegean Islands and Pamukkale. When buying these two excursions, he gave us two more excursions as a gift (a foam party on a three-deck yacht and the confluence of the seas) and free Wi-Fi for the entire stay. He also said that if bicycles are needed, we can take them from him for free. But we didn't need them. He can also change money in a favorable currency, on the last day he exchanged the remaining lira for us for dollars. In general, buy excursions from him! He has a lot of great deals on every excursion.
We went to the foam party, it was fun, but after it there is no transfer back, everyone goes to hang out in clubs / bars. You can return to the hotel from the center of Marmaris by minibus with a green running line, but we didn’t see the point in taking the minibus, because after the party we decided to go to the fountain, it takes 5-7 minutes to go to it, it is very beautiful, shimmers in different colors and after After that, we went along the embankment and went into a bar to celebrate my husband's birthday and smoke a hookah. We were lured to this bar by a cute rabbit, who was sitting at the bar, the owner specially came up with such a lure)) but nothing, the prices are adequate, we sat for 45 lire. I also told the owner that it was my husband’s birthday and they merrily congratulated him with music “happy birthday”))
After this bar, we went along the embankment to the hotel, not far to go, 35 minutes, spotted), it's better to take a walk along the embankment than pay for a minibus and stand in a traffic jam.
We decided not to go on the excursion that Islam gave us “the confluence of the seas”, because when we were sitting in his Wi-Fi, a woman with her son came and said: they were on an excursion, but they didn’t understand where the confluence was? ))
I was in Greece on Rhodes, here you can really see two seas, on the one hand the Aegean (violent) on the other the Mediterranean (more calm) and they are separated by a small isthmus, very beautiful photos are obtained. But here in Marmaris you won’t see this, they don’t even really know what kind of Aegean or Mediterranean sea is here. A guide on an excursion to Pamukkale told us that when you swim, one half of your body is supposedly in the Aegean Sea, the other is in the Mediterranean. And on this “merge of the seas” excursion, you won’t even understand anything, they’ll just take you on a yacht, take you to a couple of places to swim, but you won’t see the merger, even in the booklet on excursions it says that you will supposedly feel a different air, but this all garbage)) for a real merger only to Rhodes! By the way, Islam has such an opportunity to go to Rhodes, you need to either already have an open visa, or he can make it for you right there, one-day. With us, people took such an excursion. There, Rhodes is within easy reach, 40 minutes on a yacht.
Even after the tour in Pamukkale, on the way back, when everyone was already taken to hotels, the guide warned everyone “do not forget things, especially phones” and, of course, my husband forgot)) went to Islam, he helped us, phoned the guide from bus and an hour later they brought us a phone safe and sound, and Islam's brother ran after him and brought it to us.
TOTAL. In general, the rest was very pleasant! The sea is gorgeous, with a view of the mountains, as if you are swimming in the bay. I also liked Marmaris very much, I liked all the excursions, especially Pamukkale! The next time we go to Marmaris, of course, we will choose a different hotel, but this one is not bad to spend the night. Most importantly, tune in to the positive, with what mood you arrived, with such a holiday you will spend, the sea and the beautiful view of the mountains will remove all negative emotions from the hotel, if they suddenly happen to you.
Food. We were not hungry, there was a lot of chicken, there was no fish at all. Lots of salads. Cream soups chicken and pumpkin-tomato. A lot of dishes that we did not figure out, from what and what. Awesome desserts. There was a separate kitchen-grill. The food is not wow, but tolerable. In the end, this monotony is already tired. Fruits were melon, oranges, tangerines, apples, pears, plums. Bar: wine every day for lunch and dinner to choose from - red or dry white. After lunch, from 14 to 15 snack hamburgers (collect yourself). Then from 17 to 18 - a sweet table (pies, pastries). The bar was open from 10 am to 11:50 pm. Cocktails, as well as around, are not ice, but you can drink. There was beer, raki vodka, gin, rum. Coffee and tea - from the machine (powder).
Sea. The purest. We saw a turtle, squid, catfish. To the sea on foot for 7-8 minutes leisurely. In a cafe they took water, a husband beer, sometimes ice cream. The entrance to the sea is small pebbles. The fish were biting their legs, a kind of free peeling. There were enough beds. They forgot the book under the sunbed, in the morning it was gone and no one saw it.
The hotel pools are very clean, but it was necessary to borrow umbrellas and sunbeds in the morning. There were especially few umbrellas. At first, the animators did their best, organized some entertainment, turned on modern music, threw them into the water, danced - then they disappeared somewhere.
There is a TV in the room, but it is superfluous there, all channels are in Turkish.
Air conditioner. Was, but either clogged or low power. For 5 hours only the temperature was +20 in the room. The room itself is in need of refurbishment.
There are no beach towels. Bought for sun loungers by the sea.
Cleaning. A woman came, carried a rag in the bathroom and changed towels. A couple of times they left $ 1, but in vain, the quality did not improve from this. The trash was taken out every day. Dust on the bedside tables as it was, and remained. True, one day she was not at all.
Shops at the hotel. Everything is expensive there, more expensive than across the road in the market and they are not willing to make concessions. I don't recommend buying anything there. How to use their barber shop.
How to go down, in the direction of the beach, there is a travel agency "U Timur". I do not advise, you can find cheaper and better.
Our guide offered to go for free to the leather and fur center, textile and Turkish delight factory. I advise you to go to the Turkish delight factory. After visiting the leather and fur center, there was a strange feeling of divorce. If anyone knows how to bargain, you can take the risk to go. They finish it so well that you won’t notice how you buy what you didn’t plan. Turkish delight at the factory is very good, fresh delight, delicious, do not buy in the store, it is better there.
In the textile center, prices are the same as in small shops on the way to the beach. I don't understand why people buy so much. There is a large MMM center, you can also skimp there. By the way, near it is a cafe with very tasty coffee and tea.
The hotel had a lot of multinational people, very friendly.
Internet. He was absent. There was some kind of appearance, some coupons were given out at the reception - nonsense. Bought a local sim card. The Internet was in cafes and restaurants.
You can come again, but I would like the hotel management to listen and correct the shortcomings.
