Week in Paradise
You don't have to fly beyond the equator to escape the world. We found our "Narnia" relatively close - in sunny Turkey.
It was not that spontaneous: the things were packed in the suitcase in advance and he quietly waited in the corner for his hour, making his heart beat faster. Only the date and place of the journey remained uncertain. As soon as the stars converged in the right row (or rather, we managed to clear all the obstacles), we realized: it's time. We bought a ticket a couple of days before departure. Many dissuaded us from going to the Aegean Sea - it is believed that it is cool to swim there in June.
In a sense, it did. The water temperature is about the same as in the Crimea at the same time of the year - only +23. But the scenery is just amazing! Mountains covered with coniferous and olive groves stretch for many kilometers along the coast. There is clean air with a delicate pleasant aroma and a mild climate without suffocating heat.
High above the sea, a tiny fishing village with a single central street, Sarigerme, is lost. This settlement and numerous hotels are the only islands of civilization. Avid party-goers definitely have nothing to do here. We found what we were looking for: silence, wonderful panorama, clear sea. The perfect place for introverts! The audience in our Alinn Sarigerme Boutique hotel was cultural, no one interfered with anyone. This was facilitated by the fact that the hotel set an age limit for guests: children under 16 are not accommodated here.
I won't talk about the quality of the food for a long time. The fact that the owner lives in the hotel all the time and eats from the common table (we saw him almost every evening) already says a lot. As for me, the food was tasty and varied. A lot of vegetables, fruits, herbs. There are always several meat and fish dishes to choose from, shrimp were given a couple of times. Wine and beer seem to be good, but we are not lovers. And sweets... no words, only emotions. Mmm, very tasty!
As you know, every paradise is not without its demons. Lots of mosquitoes here. Unfortunately, we did not think about the spray, so we fought back as best we could. The path to the room for the bloodsuckers was ordered: the mosquito net prevented. But on the balcony in the evenings they played with might and main, singing dull melodies in chorus of a hundred voices.
About the beach. There are several ways to get there from the hotel. The easiest is by bus, in five minutes. Runs every half hour.
Less convenient - on the same road on foot. It is at least three times longer. But you can enjoy the mountain air and admire nature. As a bonus, along the way you meet different animals from the mini-reserve. We saw a squirrel, a fox, important peacocks, noisy guinea fowls, quails and many other birds whose names I do not know...
The last, the most extreme, also takes 5 minutes - along a straight path from the mountain. But here there is a risk of breaking loose and rolling head over heels even faster. Or stumble upon a snake - this will also significantly increase the speed of movement. By the way, we met one of them even on the main road - thin, with a shiny steel skin.
The beach is located in the bay. To swim normally, you need to walk well in shallow water. The water is purest. The sand is gray, volcanic, but soft. There are very few shells, and even those are small.
Next to the yacht club. We planned several excursions, but visited only one. Chose a three-hour cruise around the islands. On one of them, while descending for a guide into an underground cave, I injured my leg. Not much, but unpleasant (Mom, everything is already in order and almost healed, honestly, honestly). "Before the wedding, live! " the captain, accustomed to injuries, said cheerfully, smearing my wound with iodine. "To gold? " I joked sadly. . .
However, visiting this unusual place was worth a bloody tribute.
I must say, the passage to the cave is very narrow. And if my forms were just a little more magnificent, I would probably get stuck there for the joy of sharks. Squeezing into the darkness, we immediately plunge into the water. Husband - to the waist, I - to the chest, we wander... In some places - we swim, deep. Then we climb somewhere again. And don't forget to look around. The grotto is tall, the shade of the water is mysteriously purple. And it's a pity that there is no waterproof camera. And then you have to carefully (! ) go down the sharp stones and jump into the water (not high) in order to swim to the ship. Simply breathtaking!
And those jumps into the water from the ship! In the water, transparent as a tear, the bottom is clearly visible - it seems that the depth of everything is nothing. You dive - and as if into an ice-hole for Epiphany. Brr, ice cold! And... covers with his head. The captain laughs: 9 meters under the keel…
Earthquake? No, we haven't heard. Two days before our departure, a powerful earthquake occurred in Turkey, which we learned about from anxious relatives. Fortunately, the formidable natural phenomenon passed by and we didn’t even notice it.
A week of rest flew by, as if it never happened. There are memories and many pictures that still need to be sorted...
