Chilled out with a friend. When buying a tour, we focused on the Bodrum region. Which of course affected the price of the tour. The fact that the star rating of Turkish hotels differs from European ones was known, which was confirmed. When transporting vacationers to hotels, our hotel was the last. The transfer (a small bus) could not even drive up to the entrance of the hotel, we were dropped off on the street, our luggage was put out, and we ourselves "rolled" our suitcases along the street, along the paving stones, 100-200 meters to the entrance. My question to the guide: "Is this a normal service? " caused surprise in her and the answer; "What's wrong? Unfortunately, the bus can't drive up because of parked cars" (tour operator TEZTUR). Check-in at this hotel from 14-00, we arrived after 11 o'clock, before check-in time we were offered to "entertain" ourselves at the hotel (change clothes, go to the beach, swim in the pool, go to lunch ,,, ), but we will be provided only after 14-00. "Having fun", tired after a sleepless night and flight.
Knowing in advance that in Turkey they love tips and rewards, when submitting applications for moving in, they made a small "present", which nevertheless facilitated our resettlement in the building "with windows not on the street of bars. " The room was given on the second floor, but without a balcony, small and decently shabby. Air conditioning, shower room and toilet, hair dryer, phone all worked. The minibar is empty. Safe in the room for a fee. The amount announced to us for using the safe is 20 euros. They did not dispute the number, since the prospect of being in a building with windows facing the bars promised sleepless nights.
The hotel is small, located in a very small area. There is nothing to occupy yourself in it, except for sitting at the bar and swimming in the pool. Having no penchant for alcoholic beverages and taking chlorinated water treatments, neither is interesting. An alternative can be considered the close location of the beach, which was pleasing. Yes, and not everything is smooth here. The beach is not very clean, sometimes there were not enough sunbeds for everyone. Mattresses for sunbeds had to be taken by the pool and worn by ourselves (provided that a sunbed was still found). The second trouble on the beach is the local dogs, who behave in a businesslike manner. They do whatever they want on the beach. They can take away your beach shoes and bury them. Pull off a towel from the sunbed and pat it, taking it out in the sand, and also lie down on a sunbed covered with a towel while the owner of this bathes. These dogs immediately sleep, run in a pack, approach people, and it is difficult to drive them away, and immediately bathe with people. With all the love for animals, well, there is no desire to relax on the beach and swim with street dogs. When voicing this problem to the hotel guide, in response they heard a blatant lie that they were hearing about it for the first time and that tomorrow this problem would be eliminated, possibly by shooting. !!!!????

The beach towels included with the services were received by us in the room upon check-in. They immediately drew attention to their staleness, which suggested that either it was poorly stretched, or, even worse, they were left from the previous tenants. Subsequently, we were informed that the replacement of a beach towel costs 1 euro. Bed linen and other towels in a state of decent wear and tear.
The only positive was the food. Of course, there was not such a breadth of assortment as in five-star hotels, but they fed us with quite varied and freshly prepared dishes. Fish, chicken, other meat dishes of various preparations, herbs, and vegetables were always present. salads, pastries are very tasty, fruits - watermelon, melon, peaches, plums, apricots, apples, grapes.
The hotel staff is friendly and courteous - a plus.
City hotel. which also brings its advantage, you can take walks, go shopping. Everything is nearby.
