On the plus side - good food with fast service. The staff is attentive and polite, drinks in glassware. Great view from the upper terraces where the bars are open. 10 min to the center of Bodrum on foot. There are no TV channels in Slavic languages ​ ​ - why did you come here to be surprised by TV? The wifi in the room is just terrible. The fact that the bar is paid for the second and subsequent fillings, learned from the guide, the hotel did not warn. There is no sound insulation: everything that happens in neighboring rooms, on the corridor, stairs, on the street is very well audible, it is uncomfortable to sleep. A terrible shortage of sun loungers (there are much fewer of them than vacationers). Towels from sunbeds are taken in an hour. This does not apply to the Turks, they are held in high esteem there, they are allowed a lot. My towel was removed like that, not only was my sunbed, of course, occupied, I was also worried that I now owed 10 euros for a towel, but oh well, they gave me a towel. There was an incident on the beach: there were 2 absolutely empty sunbeds, the neighbors confirmed that they were free, my neighbors occupied them, I dragged the empty sunbed to these two to be a company together.
We left our things and went to sea. Literally after 10 minutes I notice a couple (a Turk and a Slav, he speaks good Russian), spinning by my sunbed, I come up and say that the sunbed is busy. The young lady is silent all the time, the Turk proves that he took this place in the morning (having previously thrown my towel on my neighbor's sunbed, having laid his own). Points at this towel, says that this is their place, for the life of me. I explain that, no more than 10 minutes ago, I dragged this sunbed from a fairly long distance, and the neighboring ones were empty. He understands me, but is not going to give in. I sat down on my sunbed, I keep repeating the same thing, the Turk freaks out, pulls a towel out from under me and I hit the right side of my body. I got scared, got up, took my things, then he pulled the mattress from my sunbed, began to throw it into the sea, then the sunbed, and then the things of my neighbors. The hotel employee saw this disgrace, but did not make a remark to the Turk, asked us to move away.
We walked away, explained the situation, to my remark about what a "good" service they had, the hotel employee was terribly offended, aggressively waved his hands in my direction and rudely said something like "Don't look, don't look. " Please note that I was not rude and did not raise my voice either in relation to that crazy Turk or in relation to the hotel employee. The employee defiantly turned away from me, listened to the indignation of my neighbors and promised to find free sunbeds. After 5 minutes, he returned, they say, let's go, we followed him, he pointed to 2 sunbeds (and there are three of us), pulled off towels from them (thus provoking a new conflict) and here, they say, you are welcome. Remember, I was ignored. Of course we left there.
There were no empty seats near the pool either. More than once we have noticed that some sunbeds were occupied in the morning with junk, and people did not appear there for half a day. You guess what nationality occupied these sunbeds, right? For a few days, taught by bitter experience, we came before 8 in the morning and guarded the sunbeds. One morning I occupied 3 sunbeds with towels, we went to have breakfast, after half an hour I found that my towel had been thrown onto my neighbor's sunbed, and a lady was sitting on my sunbed, guess what nationality, and was trying to prove to me that she was the first to take it, she didn’t want to get up, her young man turned out to be conscientious and they left. So, if you leave the sunbed for at least 5 minutes, your things will simply be thrown away, and the sunbed will be occupied, and they will impudently prove that they have been here since the very morning. So you can't relax.
By the way, I myself witnessed how the couple returned to their places, and they were busy, because the towels were tu-tu. But there, like me, no one was thrown, the staff peacefully offered other sunbeds. On the penultimate day, we went to the market, bought souvenirs, came tired, I left my bag on the table and went to bed. I thought tomorrow in the store at the hotel to buy something else. The next day, I left the room before 8 am, and returned to the room at about 2 pm (remember that the duty must be every minute, otherwise the sunbed will be taken away, get so relaxed) and found my bag gutted. I remember exactly that I left the money in a buttoned pocket in a closed bag. Upon returning, everything was open. They stole about 50 dollars, I was left without a penny of money. Earlier, I already noticed that they were rummaging through a cosmetic bag lying in a drawer in a bedside table. The dust must have been wiped off my pills. The manager said to my statement that there was a safe, there was nothing to leave money on the table. The argument that the presence of a safe does not allow staff to rummage through other people's things did not turn out to be an argument, they say, samadura is to blame. Well, OK.
The guide told me to write a claim. It was after 9 pm, and at 6.30 we leave the hotel. At the reception, I asked for paper, explaining the situation, they called another manager, again old songs about the main thing, you have a safe in your room, and you are all lying. In my presence, this manager called someone, spoke something in English, from the conversation I overheard that the cleaner who stole my money was his sister!! ! For a long time he rubbed me about the safe, I said that I would not complain if they returned the money to me. To this he offered to call the police to search my room. It is clear that in this case my flight is covered with a copper basin, I am alone in a foreign country, in short, I am horrified. I would like to pack my bags, and I arrange a showdown at 22.00 in the evening.
The manager said that he would go to call, offered some drinks, and left. 5 minutes pass, 10.15, he's gone. Closer to half past ten, he comes in from the street, and behind him are two scuffles, literally a couple of meters before me, these hulks turn the other way. I am scared to death, I say that everything is OK, I have no complaints, I go to get ready, he reminds me of the juice that I wanted to drink. I politely refuse, because it is already restless to drink from an open dish. He hangs noodles on my ears that if someone stole, he would fire him, but no one stole anything. I grabbed a bottle of water and ran to my room.
By the way, after my report about the theft, the Wi-Fi in the room suddenly stopped working completely (wow, what a coincidence). I had to leave the room to communicate. I spent the night before my flight with the door propped up on a chair. And the last day of rest in tears. That's how expensive 50 bucks are valued in a five-star hotel that they are not afraid to tarnish their reputation. In general, I put together a combo: assault, theft, intimidation. Rest was a success. 900 euros per week plus such bonuses - the price of my holiday. Draw your own conclusions.

Well, now the cons: dogs on the beach, big dogs that just walk along the beach, can easily take something from the table or from the bag while you doze off under an umbrella. They do not react if you drive them away. Strangers calmly walk along the beach offering something, now I'm talking about grandfather with cherries, which smells bad. You have to be on the beach by 7 am if you want to take a sunbed. Only if you leave your towel and leave can the guard remove it and give your seat to someone else. For all vacationers there are not enough sunbeds and the same situation near the pool. The place can be found in the far corners of the hotel terraces if you want to sleep a little longer in the morning. The beach is dirty. The last two days almost did not go out, tired of chasing places near the water. The room is excellent, but the air conditioner worked for 3 minus. A lot of Turkish tourists, very... first attention to them. There is absolutely no entertainment. Boring.
During this period when we were, the sea is very cold. If you want another room key, because they give only one, you can get it only with a deposit of $ 5, but it will be returned to you at the end of the holiday.
By the afternoon, when the waves rise, a lot of garbage is carried to the shore, although it is periodically collected, but this does not help much. But in the morning the water is crystal cold clear.
In general, we were satisfied with the rest, but we would not come to this hotel a second time.
A big plus is that you can go out into the city every day, walk in the heart of Bodrum and enjoy cafes with seafood delicacies.

The hotel is located in the city in a cascade on a hillside. But this is not a problem, because you can get there by elevator. On the 7th floor there is a bar and an extraordinary terrace overlooking the sea (take a photo there baaagato). Reception on the 6th floor. At 3 restaurants, swimming pool, bar. At 0 exit to the beach (through a tunnel, or cross a small road) and a snack bar.
We took the room with a sea view. I recommend such rooms, a kind of bomb, although the minus is that the balconies are small. The standard room is large, clean and after cosmetic repairs (the paint has not yet been washed well: -). Cleaned daily and quite well. Everything you need is there. Safe for free, Wi-Fi so-so.
Food. At first I was scared by the small selection of dishes.
But it passed, because everything offered is very tasty and without that too much for quantity. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners on the 3rd floor of the restaurant. From 12.30 in the snack bar on the 0th floor of pizza, go, donors, spaghetti ...very tasty. Sandwiches from 7 am to 7 am on the 7th floor.
Sea / beach beach, sea, pool. The sea is extraordinary. This hotel is the only city hotel that has its own beach. But it is quite small. Since our people came to the sea, not to the pool, there are problems with places. Occupy from 7 am. At 9 o'clock the "supervisor" comes and directs the further process. If you are not on the couch for 1 year. (and sometimes less than an hour) you will be evicted: -) There are plenty of places by the pool and on the terraces.
Service. Everything is great here. Everyone tries like bees. I definitely recommend the hotel. And I ask people to read descriptions, reviews to have at least some idea of ​ ​ where you are going. This is not Rixos or Max swarming. This is a nice, budget hotel. Have a nice holiday everyone!

Engaged at the moment people who probably do not have the slightest idea in the tourist industry. During the stay at the hotel, there were a number of shortcomings that spoiled the holiday. Repair work was started at the hotel at the height of the season, the elevator does not work, it is turned off. per 1. One elevator for the entire hotel, which is used by both staff and hotel guests. Periodically, the lights were turned off, because the hotel is carrying out welding work, a team of builders is working, constant noise. In the evening they begin to plaster the walls - it is also difficult to walk up the stairs.
Meals: Breakfast - constantly - monotonous - boiled eggs daily is a tradition. An omelet is not always present, croissants are at least, it's either lucky or you get it, or you don't. NOT used eggs for breakfast, smoothly switch to a primitive salad for lunch, just pour mayonnaise. And so every day!!

When I checked in, they gave me a room where they didn’t even replace the bed linen after previous guests. Completely in the sand, pile, garbage. We immediately turned to the administration, the manager came, the cleaning lady apologized and replaced the bed set.
Repeatedly cleaned the room, just took out the trash and that's it. I had to explain that wet cleaning of the room was necessary. And it's surprising, to be honest. Hotel 5 * tour price 1300$!!!
They save ordinary paper napkins - on the tables in the restaurant - no. You have to ask the waiter constantly.
We also observed this picture: the packages for cutlery ran out, the staff simply served a knife and fork on a napkin.
For several days there were no individual paper napkins on the table for serving for each client, so immediately on the table without tablecloths and napkins.

Since this is not the first time in Turkey, there is something to compare with. The location of the hotel is awesome. It cascades up in one of the bays of Bodrum and the views are just bombing. Yes, the territory of the hotel is small, but here everything is so reasonably thought out that with a minimum of body movements you get a good rest. Elevators, literally penetrating the hotel, allow you to get to any corner without spending time and effort. The pool is modest in size, but there are two separate areas for small children (depth 0.5 m). A small beach, which is part of the city. But, a sufficient number of reliable sunbeds and quality umbrellas, which are added on request by the staff. Beach towels without restrictions and cards, which allows you not to carry them from the beach to the pool. We were a little unlucky with the temperature of the water in the sea, + 20 °. But this year, there are abnormally low temperatures around the world at the beginning of summer. The beach is pebbly, the entrance to the water without problems. Even European grandmothers entered the water without much effort. There is a small plastic pontoon from which diving enthusiasts can jump.
In the hotel itself, there are plenty of places to relax, where you can retire and drink, for example, coffee with a pleasant conversation. And just an incomparable view from the spacious terrace on the 7th floor and pleasant bartenders from the roof bar made us every evening, despite the sometimes quite windy evening weather, to sit out until midnight enjoying the surroundings and good drinks.
Separately about food. Breakfast is quite ordinary: scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, boiled eggs (for some reason, only hard-boiled), fried sausage or sausages, a set of cheeses, tomato-cucumber-onion-salad salads in variations and fruits: apricot, peach, apples, melon, watermelon and absolutely inedible crunchy-sour plum. There is a choice of yoghurts with apricot, cherry, apple, peach, etc. , but there is a feeling that substandard fruits are crumbled into yogurt. Several types of canned compotes, which for some reason are signed in Russian as "apricot compost". Fans of dry breakfasts also have something to profit from. Several (up to 5) types of pastries. Tea-coffee, ayran, pepsi.
Lunch and dinner are more varied in content and number of dishes.
The requirement to wear a mask is strictly observed, of which a sufficient number is provided at the entrance to the main restaurant. Courteous and attentive waiters do not allow you to relax, but at the same time create a feeling of comfort and convenience. Alcoholic drinks of local production without restrictions and quite tolerable quality.
The contingent of vacationers. At the time of our stay, ten to fifteen percent were Ukrainians (we also counted ourselves ???? ), %10 Poles and a lot of Turks. Feels like 60-70%. For the first time in a decade of rest in Turkey, such an interesting picture had to be observed. It is felt that the tourism industry in Turkey is going through difficult times.
Having reached this place (or maybe even earlier), you will wonder why I gave this hotel only three stars out of ten?
But, after all, I didn’t say a word about the number. This is where the biggest trick lies. At the very beginning, our wonderful guide from Anex, Katerina, said that, unfortunately, entertainment venues and restaurants, as well as the famous Turkish hamams, do not work in Bodrum due to quarantine. To which, we invited her to visit our room, a kind of branch of a Turkish bath with a non-working air conditioner. More precisely, the air conditioner was buzzing and trying to create comfort, only cold air was not coming from it. Naive and ingenuous, we complained to everyone for seven days of rest: our guide, went to the reception every day, even the cleaner was informed. But only an empty liter bottle of whiskey entered our situation, with which we prop up the open door of the room for a little bit of ventilation. Fortunately, the windows overlook the inner cool courtyard of the hotel.
The guide left the connection on the third day of communication, promising to finally bring complaint forms (heartfelt greetings to Anex-tour! ). The reception for five days courageously accepted our messages, and when we asked about the reaction, jokingly threatening that we would move to sleep on the sofas in the lobby, they began to shrug and show the messages of the technician, who, as we understood, meant us all.
Conclusion: we strongly do not recommend this hotel to potential vacationers who do not want to play roulette because of the disregard of the staff and administration for tourists. Think for yourself, at any time when a problem arises, you can be alone with its solution. As far as I understood, the hotel has a systemic trouble with air conditioning in rooms on the 4th floor: 1401-1408. And the staff, knowing this, just turns on the fool.
Since this is not the first time we have used the services of the Anex tour, we would like to wish this wonderful company not to mess with problematic hotels, such as Diamond of Bodrum, no matter how many stars they draw for themselves. And the HR department should be more careful in selecting staff.

We arrived at the hotel after lunch, settled us immediately. 90% of vacationers were from Poland and the Czech Republic, 10% Russian speakers. The hotel staff does not know Russian, so stock up on at least the slightest bit of necessary English phrases. So the most important thing in this hotel and I will definitely attach a photo is the view from the window. If someone tells you that this is not important for this hotel, do not believe it, they are lying. This hotel has a divine view of the sea. For the first five minutes, I couldn't take my eyes off it at all.
By the way, the issue of the upgrade was resolved at the reception in a standard way, not very expensive. The second advantage of this hotel is the sea, surprisingly it was +24 in October, but it was not this that struck me, but the transparency of the water, swimming behind the buoys, I clearly saw the pebbles lying on the bottom. Here you can add a fly in the ointment: the beach is a thin coastal strip with old trestle beds and mattresses that want to be better. Yachts are located a little to the side and oily spots on the water are already appearing here, but no one is swimming there. And the third advantage of this hotel is its location. The hotel is located in Bodrum itself, 200 meters from the hotel the embankment with its restaurants and many shops begins, awesomely beautiful, all in lights, as it should be for a resort town. Here you can get lost in time, thinking that the evening has just begun, but it turns out that it is already deep after midnight. The hotel rooms are small and tired.
The quality of cleaning increases very well when the dollar is added to this process. In our room, a nice girl carried out high-quality wet cleaning daily. The restaurant corresponds to the average budget five, once flashed squid with shrimp, waiters generously put dishes on the plates, just have time to shout stop. Good range of fruits and desserts. Baking in the morning is terrible. THERE IS NO IMPORTED ALCOHOL IN THE HOTEL. The snack restaurant has delicious pizza and Turkish pide, where you can also enjoy ice cream. Massage in the spa is average, it used to be better. We took an excursion to Pamukala via the Internet, it was half cheaper than from a tour operator. I got the impression that in the end we all went together, although I could be wrong.
