Turkey from the company BAUER
We received a ticket from the company to buy dishes. Tour for two: the price includes accommodation in hotels, travel through the territory of Turkey, breakfasts, part of excursions. They paid for the flight themselves, according to the conditions from the company.
Now more.
HOTELS. For the entire stay (7 nights) were in three hotels: 3 nights in Belek, 1 night in Pammukale, 3 nights in Antalya. All hotels are 4 stars, accommodation for two. Those who traveled alone were not very lucky - according to the conditions of the tour, someone who also traveled alone was added to them. The rooms are clean, tidy, comfortable - although a little old (all hotels are not the newest in themselves). BUT this nuance is 100% compensated by the staff: sooooo polite, helpful. Even though we did not tip them (we were told that we should leave 3-5 dollars to clean up well) - ALWAYS perfect cleaning, change of bed linen every day. In general, in this sense, we were very satisfied, although before the trip we had heard enough of everyone that they are poorly cleaned even in 5 stars, if you don’t leave money.
BREAKFASTS. Plus - a HUGE amount of all sorts of cheeses. Especially the family of "brynzovyh" and the type of fetax. Still, of course, there are a lot of vegetables of all types of cooking: steamed, grilled, fresh, mixed, separately... Cons: the Turks are somehow sad with side dishes. I mean, the choice is large, but all of them are not very high-calorie for my taste. Meat is also not a very large selection, but it was compensated by the fish. And since we are fish eaters, it was in a sense a gastronomic paradise for us. The breakfasts were buffet style - this is convenient in the sense that you could always take snacks for the whole day with you for the duration of the excursions so as not to spend money on the trip. There was an opportunity to buy dinners for $ 90, but we didn’t: we “experimented” with eateries outside the hotel territories. There were not many of them, but to visit Turkey and not gobble up the local shawarma - well, I don’t know... )))))))))
TOURS. Everything is more complicated here. What was included in the tour is a sightseeing tour of Belek and Antalya and Pammukale. Surveys are rather stupid, because in fact, they just take you to places where you can buy something (fur coat showrooms, gold stores, etc. ). But they mix well with very "photogenic" places. One of them is the Karpuz Kaldyran waterfall - a high observation deck on a waterfall that flows directly into the Mediterranean Sea. Very nice!
Separately, I would like to talk about Pamukkale. The tour is free, it is for the whole day (and even the night, because you stay overnight in a hotel near a natural monument). The tour goes like this. Early-early in the morning (around 6-7 in the morning, while everyone gathers at the bus) you get on the bus and drive for 4 hours. It may seem boring, but a guide comes in handy here. Our first spoke about how Turkey was formed, what ups and downs Christianity went through in it, how it all makes friends with Islam - in general, interesting. And then there was another funny block: we were told from the Turkish Family Institute. How they get married, choose each other, who pays what, what gifts are given to women as a dowry, how a modern Turkish house is arranged, etc. It was very interesting with our guide: good Russian with a slight accent and lots and lots of jokes!
Almost 4 hours later you arrive first in the city of Denizli. This is such a Turkish Ivanovo - the textile center of Turkey. Everyone disembarks there and goes on an excursion to the textile center. It's not really a tour. For about 20 minutes they talk about the production of Turkish fabrics, and then you have half an hour to walk around the large, as it were, expo center and buy yourself everything Turkish. I have to say, the selection is HUGE. And towels and bed linen. And scarves and t-shirts. . . At regular prices it's not very cheap, but they give a "here and now only" a good discount, so we bought very thoroughly there. The quality of the towels, by the way, is straight from Ikea, and the price (including the discount) is just a song.
Then you are taken to the tasting room of Turkish wine. There, a special uncle first talks about the history of winemaking, and then, under Turkish (although rather Caucasian "far, far away
mountains…”) pours toasts for everyone. Pours, of course, little by little, but since the wines are mostly fruity (pomegranate, plum, berry mixes... ) - you can really get drunk on them! ))))) And, when everything is already "good" - it is proposed to purchase. The scheme is the same as in Denizli: the wines themselves are not very cheap, but with a discount - very, very ok.
And, finally, when you arrive drunk and happy at the place of the excursion, you will see just a cosmic view of pamukal. White, huge, kilometer-long terraces of either limestone or some other rock - but it looks amazing. There, mineral water splashes from under the ground in dents and baths, you can walk and climb on them barefoot, which we did!
In the same place you can swim in a mineral water nearby - this is the Cleopatra's bath pool. It's for the money (like about 5 or 7 bucks). Turkish street food is also nearby: shawarmas, burgers, kebabs, salads…
There is also an ancient amphitheater nearby - we were taken there, but besides taking pictures, it's not very interesting there.
After a long day, we were taken to a hotel near Pamukkale, the hotel itself also has such mini Cleopatra baths, because. The hotel is located on a thermal spring. So if the pool is not enough, you can relax and improve your health right at the hotel.
TOTAL. If you are an adherent of a beach holiday, then a bauer tour to Turkey will NOT suit you. BUT if you (like us! ) want to look at Turkey, so to speak. INSIDE - this is ideal. Constant travels are a little tiring, but all this is forgotten when you have a good guide (ask Mustafa !!! ), a cheerful company (we all became very friends) and Turkish life and nature as it is. In original condition.
In general, experienced "resort" Turkey - I categorically advise!
