There are cons, but they are so insignificant that I don’t even want to write against the background of all the pluses (the picky ones have already written everything).
In short, if you are not a crazy mother who cares about chicken soup every day for children, and you are not a restaurant critic, then you and your family are here.
About myself: quite picky, and hard to surprise with something.
Cornelia did it.
Vacationing with children.
I must say right away there are few changes, what works stably needs only minor edits and in some places the need for repairs. We arrived at the hotel at about 12 noon, settled in literally 10 minutes, our data was already apparently in the hotel database.
A room with exactly the same furniture as it was in 2014, and as it turned out later, it was the room that showed the need for renovation of the hotel. Well, a couple of times I had to program the entrance card, the next day even the maid could not get into our room, after us two hotel workers arrived at lunchtime who began to reprogram the lock itself in the door, it helped for a day, then again the card had to be “updated” on reception. On the third day, returning from lunch, they immediately found a worker on a stepladder rummaging through the ventilation duct, having fun....On the 4th or 5th day, workers again tried to break into the room with a ladder - as they said, checking the alarm sensor. I just turned on the TV to check - all the channels show with “ripples”, in principle, it’s not scary, we didn’t watch it. In general, the equipment in the room is already beginning to “crumble”, from time and humidity. Humidity in the room is also one of the minuses, at times you just start to "suffocate" from it, everything that is paper to the touch "swells" with time. The bath is in good condition, the cleaning is excellent (one day it was not cleaned for the reason described above).
What has improved. The Internet is excellent almost throughout the hotel (including the beach), Youtube watched without problems. We installed new slides - now out of 4 instead of 3 (one remained from the old options - 3 new ones were added). Divided the beach into areas for smokers and non-smokers.
The rest of the hotel remained the same as in my first review. Even the chef has not changed, and it seems like the one responsible for the animators is also the same.
What else should be done - put up no-smoking signs in the amphitheater - when children sit and start smoking nearby, sorry...
In general, everything is fine, but the rooms are already starting to ask for repairs…
Of the pluses, it is worth noting Martini and J&B whiskey, but only at the bar in the 18+ zone near the beach. Even with children sleeping in a stroller in the evening, from almost the only cozy and quiet place in the hotel by the sea (18+ zone), the waiters, and then the guestrelation, are quite harshly, albeit tactfully, kicked out. And this is a hotel in which there are almost as many children as adults.
The beach is long, but half of it is narrow and heavily strewn with pebbles. Meals without much choice, but occasional themed dishes. You can not get into free A La Carte, even trying to sign up at the beginning of the holiday. The staff is friendly, they all help and there are Russian speakers.
Friendly Russian-speaking staff at the reception upon check-in hotel tour champagne upon arrival
Neatness and cleanliness all around, starting from the room, the hotel itself, the territory and the beach, they constantly clean, clean, cut, moisturize
Excellent cuisine and a large selection of dishes for the pickiest gourmets
Evening variety shows in the amphitheater with the performance of professional dancers and actors have never been repeated in 10 days
Ukrainian animators in Russian English do everything to make you want to visit entertainment and sports events again and again.
No, of course, a vacation by the sea is always wonderful, and I am satisfied with the rest in each of these hotels, but for objectivity, I was aware that in one of these hotels the kitchen is rustic and the queues in the restaurant, in the other hard uncomfortable pillows, in the third one there is dim lighting in the room, in the fourth there is a weak entertainment program, etc.
This did not affect the general mood in any way, I was still happy, but these are the "notes" I made for myself.
So. I pass to the main idea. I liked ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING in the Cornelia Deluxe Hotel. There simply was not a single moment, not a single parameter, on which there would be a reason to grumble, criticize or express dissatisfaction.
Actually, you can go no further. : )
The hotel is amazing and I would definitely recommend Cornelia to everyone.
But let's get down to the details:
1. Sea and beach.
The sea is wonderful (as, in principle, everywhere in Belek).
Warm, even before lunch, after lunch with small and medium waves.
The entrance to the sea is convenient.
Good pier, with three ladders.
The sand on the beach is clean. In the evenings, a machine like a large walk-behind tractor works - it sifts sand from stones. (Completely bourgeois snickering! : ))
There are areas for smokers and non-smokers.
2. Food.
In short: the food is great!
Just very tasty!
Insanely delicious.
There was once some kind of fish day - I almost swallowed my tongue.
The fish was so tasty that after it I didn’t even eat crayfish and king prawns. They did not reach the taste of that fish. : ) (The fish, by the way, is called Akya, or Akya)
Well, a couple more details about food:
Expensive and delicious cheese Dor Blue was every day, and for breakfast, and for lunch, and for dinner!
And a set of nuts, in a bar, for example: almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts.
And there is also a free option for a festive dinner - a barbecue party is held on the lawn in front of the beach. Everything is decorated like at weddings, grilled meat and vegetables in all kinds of performances, live music, and the smell... Mmm... You can get enough of this smell alone! ; )
3. Alcohol.
Well, I was with my family, so I couldn't try the whole bar. And there was something to try. What in other hotels usually comes for an additional fee is free here. Cognac Remy Martin Sun, tequila Olmeca Silver, Baileys, Malibu, Campari, Martini. . .
Some delicious Italian vermouth.
Or dry wine, for example. In other hotels where I have been, dry wine is so-so, purely for show, it is impossible to drink it with pleasure.
And here - a completely different matter! Delicious red dry wine! I drank with admiration. I am not a professional taster, of course, but I understand something about wines. Here is such a good dry wine, as in Cornelia, not always and for money can be found in the store.
4. Numbers.
Interesting design of the rooms (we lived in a house next to the "pool lake"), the rooms are well lit, the bed is soft, there is a pillow menu. Pillows can be ordered ergonomic, hypoallergenic and goose down.
5. Show program on top. The Cuban circus was especially impressive.
And of course, a grandiose gala show on the occasion of the end of Ramadan.
The fireworks were about eight minutes. Plus opera singers and national dancers.
6. Very pleasant service. The room was cleaned cleanly, chocolates were left on the bed (a trifle, but nice). The waiters are polite. The animators are funny. At the reception there are wonderful Russian-speaking employees. Special thanks to Xenia!
7. Activity is sufficient. Volleyball, petanque, air rifle shooting, darts, bingo, all sorts of games in the pool.
8. All sorts of pleasant little things. Boiled corn, popcorn, chips. Harmful, of course, but nice.
9. Contingent.
Half are English! Next - Russians, Germans, French. I did not meet uncultured people, no drunken screams, no inappropriate behavior from neighbors.
The Englishmen were a little intelligently drinking in the bar in the evenings, but at exactly 23.00 they dispersed. There was no discomfort in this regard. The team is good! : )
10. Wonderful fitness room.
