I am writing a review almost immediately upon arrival, so that all the moments with which I would like to share are still fresh and memorable. So, the Argos hotel is located in the very center of Antalya, Kaleiç i district. True, in the description of the table of contents of the topic above, this hotel is declared as a four, but when buying a tour from a Coral representative, it was listed as a three with breakfast. At the beginning of my story, I will explain why we chose the city itself, and not its resort part, such as Lara or Konyaalti, knowing full well that there is simply no sea in the form of beaches in the city, there is a small Mermerli beach with a steep staircase and an entrance fee , and we were traveling with a child aged three and a half years.
Initially, we considered many options: both Kamer and Side, Alanya, etc. But all of them went to “stop” for several reasons: it was very important for us with the child the minimum way from the airport to the hotel, this is the first, second - the area of residence should be accessible for visiting independent walks to some sights and places of recreation such as parks , attractions, because trips on excursions with a child were not included in our plans and we were “equipped”, we had a stroller with us, thirdly, we just wanted to be not tied to the hotel, breakfasts are the best you could wish for in this case , the food offered at the hotel for the child would not be the fact of his acceptance and “absorption”, but the choice of a snack on the spot according to our and the child’s tastes suited us as well as possible, and of course we didn’t want either children’s animation or slides for our a child, or a party contingent from among our compatriots (unpleasant memories of these moments on previous trips remained in my memory). The Argos hotel was 100% suitable in all respects, especially since it had a very “good” price for the early booking promotion in February. As a result, all our expectations with him came true and were confirmed.
We arrived in Antalya early in the morning, quickly went through customs, and on a minibus with another pair, Coral took us to hotels in Kalachi. The first bewilderment that we initially experienced was that our minibus did not bring us to the hotel, but stopped 200 meters away and we, with a stroller and with suitcases, were on a cobblestone pavement, yes, yes, since this is a historical center, the streets are paved with stone tiles. It was still normal to go, but with things and a stroller it was just tin, it’s also good that we kind of went down, and it was a little easier to do. Not a single blogger, not a single tourist indicated this in their reviews, and the manager of the travel agency from which we purchased the tour did not draw our attention to this.
Another “tense” moment for us: Coral's representative, still in the minibus, gave us a booklet with the date of the meeting with the guide the next day at 13-00, and the couple was given time at 09-00. We were a little shocked by their distribution of time for meetings - it’s not so that our child will actually sleep at that time, and we can’t even say where she will fall asleep with us, it’s not a fact that in a hotel - in an unfamiliar place for her for sleep, the granddaughter can “pass out” in the stroller while walking, or maybe on the beach in the shade under an umbrella, which by the way happened, because we have a four-hour difference with local time.
Although the fact that we will not be accommodated immediately upon arrival at the hotel, I was aware, we prepared swimsuits and sandals in advance to change and go to the beach, which is five minutes away and spend time there until two in the afternoon. The hotel quickly issued us, provided a room for suitcases, said to wait two hours, the room is not ready. No problem, we had a great time at Mermerli beach. True, they did not dare to sit in the sun on the first day until two o'clock in the afternoon, at 12 o'clock they went to the market to buy fruit, the granddaughter immediately fell asleep, just sitting in the stroller.
We arrived at the hotel at 13-30, we decided not to walk for a long time in the heat, such a temperature difference is heavy from the plane, at home it was +16, and in Antalya 35 in the shade. But the room was not yet ready and the hotel manager, seeing how tired we were, “graciously” suggested that we speed up this procedure by writing to us verbatim on the phone in Russian “Banknotes”, we naturally realized that we were asked to pay some amount in order to to speed up our settlement, but we refused to do it, with all our appearance I show that it’s okay - we’ll wait, since the child was sleeping, we were sitting in a cool hall, the TV was on, well, what else do you need. But I had to wait another hour.
We were given a room on the third floor with access to the courtyard and the pool, which subsequently pleased us very much, because. the noise from the street was almost inaudible with the windows closed, we opened the windows after three in the morning, when the streets and restaurants and cafes were empty. For the child, we were provided with a cot and a crib. The granddaughter mastered both sleeping places in the first days, but then she quickly moved to a large bed with her mother, I slept on a cot. The mattresses are very comfortable, no pillows, very soft, one child was right in lumps. There were no blankets, there were thick waffle bedspreads, by the end of the term, of course, it was already a little uncomfortable to sleep with them, but we did not ask for blankets.
The room is big enough for three people. There was no shower screen in the toilet room, so water poured everywhere, everything was wet, we did not close the door to the bathroom at all and the floor dried out more or less quickly. The cleaning was bad, you can say that it was not at all, I myself wiped the floor sometimes, since I always carry unnecessary rags with me, I saw small cockroaches in the bathroom twice. The refrigerator did not work at all, we contacted the reception several times with this problem, but they nodded, promised, but it never worked. On the second day they made a “patterned” bed for us, we left 4 lira, almost 50 rubles for our money, but it was not enough for them to see these tips, they began not to report soap, toiletries and paper.
We then began to leave 3 lira every two days, sometimes we made the bed, sometimes not, also with soap and the rest, we did not pay attention to this, I always take my shampoos and gels with me. It also didn’t work with the TV, they also repeatedly left a request, nodded, promised, but when they came to the room in the evening, the TV didn’t show until we met our compatriot, who had been resting for more than a week in this hotel, he told us that it turns out there should be two remotes for the TV, but we had one, I went to the reception, and lo and behold, they gave us a remote, and at least sometimes we watched Russian news. Towels were changed every day, that's a fact.
In terms of nutrition, a solid four. The coffee machine did not always work, there were interruptions with clean dishes, watermelon was quickly sorted out and not replenished for a long time, often there was no fresh bread, they laid out the remnants of yesterday. But in general, it’s very good, I’ve been to a lot of places and the one-day morning menu was already boring on the fifth day, and in Argos I could diversify my diet for all eleven days, every day they prepared one new dish. And so everything was fresh, tasty, there were enough pastries, for sweets there were halva, six types of jams and honey.
Of course, it was difficult for a child to feed at least something for three years, but boiled eggs, buns, cheese and sausage helped out, she ate it with pleasure. If she had no appetite, then I took some food with me, so that as soon as she got hungry on the beach, she could have a bite to eat before dinner in the city. The managers at the hotel do not all speak Russian, they communicated through a Google translator, and what I noticed was that they somehow had no special desire to learn to speak Russian. The main contingent of the hotel is foreigners: Germans, Czechs, Spaniards, Italians.
The best advantage of the hotel is its location, in the very center of Antalya, there is where to shop, Mark Antalya shopping center is a 10-minute walk, there are a lot of cafes nearby to eat, in general, you can find several places to your taste and budget in the Kaleiç i area or catering in a shopping center, a lot of people, but also a lot of suggestions. Beaches are not a problem either. Konyaalti beach is about 10 minutes by tram, it is pebbly, the pebbles are large, you need to have shoes, I brought those that I bought in Egypt, my daughter bought herself and her granddaughter in the market. It takes 20-25 minutes to the beaches of Lara by bus, the beaches are sandy, of course it was more comfortable for us with a child, and the umbrella was quietly screwed into the sand (by the way, they took a beach umbrella with them, advice, who will go with children, the umbrella helps out great, then they left it at the hotel when leaving, I bought it inexpensively at home, it was not a pity . . ).
I’ll note another huge minus at Coral, they won’t drive up to the hotel for you either, we had to drag ourselves with suitcases and bags to the minibus not the initial 200 meters, but all 500 metro, because it was convenient for the driver, you see, he didn’t want to spin , and we were stomping with things in the heat at two o'clock in the afternoon with a child. Well, at least the girl accompanying us was sympathetic and helped us as much as she could get with things to the car. I will recommend the hotel, if we ourselves again, we will use this offer, its price category is the most economical in the Kaleichi area, but those problems that I described can be experienced and forgotten, because it is the sea, excellent air and the rest itself that will be the most vivid memories you.

I read the reviews of members of the forum about the rest in city hotels and I myself caught fire to stay in a small city hotel, closer, so to speak, to the people. Yes, and the budget allowed counting on hotels no higher than 3 *, and in Kaleici, which I fell in love with in absentia, there are no others. One of the inconspicuous entrances to Kaleici:
For some reason, they stopped at Agros, probably based on its location. As it turned out, they did not fail with the location - the hotel is located in a quiet side street, within close access to transport and ant trails for tourists. Literally on the next street, life is seething: cafes are stacked on top of each other, and shops, shops, and rental offices, people are spreading far after midnight. Behind Agros is the DeJaVu hotel, but the lights were rarely on there, probably there were few people. Hotel Dejavu:
We bought vouchers for 12 nights, because we planned to take a car and go to Cirali-Kash for 3-4 days, but this will be a separate story.
According to reviews, the rooms in the hotel are small, so we initially ordered the Deluxe - they are a couple of squares more spacious, but also more expensive than just a couple of sput. A small digression is needed here. On the basis of love for fishing, I met on the site of fishermen with a compatriot who, by the will of fate, lives in Antalya. A parcel was collected for him and he offered to meet us at the hotel upon arrival. Although he was late, his presence turned out to be invaluable for us in the future - we were first put into a kennel in the basement (matchmakers - in a normal room No. 013 Deluxe for the reception). At this time, Dmitry came up, I asked him to talk about the room - the moment, and we were moved to room 014 behind the reception. The room turned out to be simply gorgeous - the only one in the hotel with a "loggia" - a roof over a kennel from the basement floor. The matchmaker's room was a little larger than ours, but for some reason the matchmaker did not want to change numbers to the "loggia" through the window, although the matchmaker smokes. Loggia:
The furniture is updated, the bed is not creaky, the plumbing is so-so, it regularly leaked from under the bath, the guy constantly laid a towel. It's good that the smell was normal. The food is so-so: for breakfast, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, greens, boiled eggs (it’s a pity, mayonnaise was accidentally found in the store at the end of the vacation, I had to pour yogurt for lubrication, sprinkle with spices), a couple of types of rolls, a couple of types of pastries, there was a lot of jam, chocolate paste and honey. For dinner: something that was not eaten in 5-star hotels with their own cuisine: rice, however, was always tasty, chicken was ordinary, but grilled sticks made from hell were very dubious in taste, although the cats ate them.
By negligence, we drank half-liter bottles of water and juice from the minibar several times, a few days later we guessed to ask for the bill - 49 lira! Their water is golden - 2 lira each, and a snuffed bag of juice is more expensive than a glass of the freshest fresh juice. And yet, the hotel is a real tension with toilet paper. We originally had 2 rolls in our room, which we did not have enough for three days before the end of the 12-day period. After the incident with the minibar, they were afraid to ask for paper, they managed with paper towels bought earlier.
The contingent - mostly foreigners staying for a few days, at the same time with us lived 2 - 3 Russian families, the nicest people. The staff seems to be able to speak English, as it turned out, knows a little Russian, but only after a tip. After the tip:
On the second day, in order to improve personal and international relations, in the evening, in order not to burn in front of the authorities, they presented the staff with a matchmaker with a bottle of Stolichnaya. They immediately began to fuss: they unscrewed the lid, ran for the glasses, we did not even look at what they would eat, went for a walk. In the morning, with the matchmaker, we went to Konyalti to visit a friend for fishing. The wives later said: “They weren’t there at all in the morning, the girl was alone there - generally like a moth, one sleeve was not buttoned, she was then released, apparently. ” Can 3 people have a severe hangover from one bottle? It is hardly possible, they caught up later for sure.
The main advantage of the hotel is its location and relative cheapness. You can, without any regret, leave it for a few days, rent a car and travel for your own pleasure. But I looked at the prices for autumn - something is too high, for such a price the attractiveness of the hotel is lost.

The hotel is located in the ancient part of the city - Kaleici, which is rightfully considered the symbol of Antalya. The first half hour of staying among the ruins and small brick houses, the windows of which were boarded up crosswise with boards, caused a shock. But later, walking along the narrow streets, among the mosques of the 14th and 16th centuries, the fortress, the clock tower and the ancient port, they felt the special flavor of Turkey and an indescribable feeling of delight. Only here, in the very heart of Turkey, you can meet old people in trousers and clogs, hear songs, wander around museum shops selling rare items. Near the old part of the city is the center with the main attractions - Palm Alley, Fountain Square, as well as the best shopping streets.
The hotel itself was built in the Turkish style, we can say that it is rare))), so lovers of luxury and glamor are clearly not here. The TV was behind the closet, and it was not possible to move it or the bed. At familiar rooms, both juniors and triples were better. For a week, towels were changed once, and then two out of six were taken away altogether. They didn't remove it!! ! Although the number was found open twice. They couldn't tip because they didn't meet with the cleaning lady, they left money on the table - I didn't take it. Hairdryer and safe are free. Satellite television, set up 9 Russian channels. The staff was polite, complimented, helped with things.
Didn't like the food. If breakfast could be varied, dinner during the week was the same (mushroom soup-puree from a bag, for the second - rice with tomato and fried potatoes, eggplant, chicken). The guide said that it is undesirable to carry food to the hotel, but we carried food, fruit and water in a beach bag without hindrance. In general, the hotel draws a good three stars. Breakfast is from 7 to 10, and if you are going on an excursion, you could ask to be collected with you. We flew off at half past seven, but we were fed.
They write that the hotel is for elderly Germans. We had only young people and almost all Russian speakers.
The nearest beach is paid - $ 6, but gorgeous (probably the best in all of Antalya)! It takes about 40 minutes to get to the free city (walk to the tram stop, then by tram, and walk along the serpentine to the beach). If you count the fare for two and rent an umbrella and sun lounger, then a dollar is cheaper than on a paid beach, and there is much less comfort.
Pointless sightseeing tour, which gives a travel agency. They take you to expensive shops, disgustingly feed you for your own 15 dollars, and the promised swimming in the waterfall is not limited to a 2-hour boat ride, but a long wait until all the tourists are gathered, and a 15-minute swim in the open sea. Tours in agencies around the city are cheaper to take, but only suitable for those who speak English well. Rafting, qvard-safari justify themselves for all 100 - the emotions and pleasures of the sea (the cost in the city is the same)!! ! The DEDEMAN water park is rather weak, there are many slides, but there are no extreme ones, although the territory is amazing, there are a lot of cool photos. The guide offers 50 dollars for the tour, it costs 25 dollars to ride the asmomu minibus and buy a ticket.
Tours of the ancient cities are good with guides.
In general, I liked it very much, but a week was not enough! Good things are never enough)))

Firstly, the hotel is 3 ***, not 4 It is located in the very center of the city, you can walk, the taxi is expensive - 15-20 lira minimum = 10-15 dollars. It was easier for me because there was a personal guide with a car. The city is magnificent - interesting with its narrow streets with paving stones reminiscent of Italy.

It was easier for me because there was a personal guide with a car. The city is magnificent - interesting with its narrow streets with paving stones reminiscent of Italy... In the old town where the hotel is located, all the houses are in the old style - very beautiful. .
The staff at the hotel is normal, there were problems with warm water in the room - there wasn’t any for a couple of days and the shower was out of order (it leaked)
But the very atmosphere of the hotel brightened up these little problems.
At the expense of food - breakfast (2 types of cheese, 2 types of olives, sliced sausage, vegetables, honey, bread, butter, coffee, tea, fresh juice)
For dinner - rice, chicken salad - I tried this on the second day, as I ate in general in the city.

I fully subscribe to the review of Helen 7. Still 150m to the sea. Everything is very nice. Be sure to pay extra and buy a junior suite. Enough to wander around the old city for a week. The staff has no questions well done. It is better to know English. Drinks only alcoholic for a fee, for the rest of the money was not taken.

There is only one balcony in the hotel, not to be confused with a junior suite. I liked the junior suite better.

The hotel matches the photos on the website. Located inside the ancient city (very beautiful place). To the tram stop 3 minutes walk (walks in 15 minutes). There is also a center with a large number of banks where you can change the currency. The area is not cheap. The nearest beach is really 150-200m, but it's in a straight line.

There is also a center with a large number of banks where you can change the currency. The area is not cheap. The nearest beach is really 150-200m, but it's in a straight line. You need to get to it winding through the old streets 500m. The beach is paid -8 lire. But if you take a tram for 5-7 minutes along the coast, then you get to the city (free) beach. It has a fresh water shower. There are no toilets or changing rooms. The beach is "relatively" clean (come across cigarette butts). The coast is not fenced, as in the Crimea, not divided into sections. Then there are paid beaches - 2 lira, but for them you will get a sun lounger. We rested in October 2008. The water is clean, there are practically no people on the beach. Weather-gold (air +27, water +25).
The rooms in the hotel are different (some are not very large, some are huge). You can change it if you want and pay extra. Beautiful rooms, photos of which are located on the site, cost 130-150 lire per day (if you book on your own, without an agency). We came across a room with a balcony, which compensated for the first not very good impression (the specific oriental aroma of jasmine + some incense disappeared after a day). Appliances (hair dryer, refrigerator, air conditioning) work properly. The staff is attentive and polite without tips. Rooms are cleaned every day, bed linen and towels are changed 2 times a week. There are no Russian-language channels, only German-Turkish-French. The staff does not speak Russian. Communication in German or English. The hotel is very quiet, almost only retired Germans settle.
The food is not varied (buffet in the morning, first or second in the evening). Of the meat was 2 times chicken, and the rest of the semi-finished burgers. There were no fruits at all. But they can be bought in abundance and inexpensively in street shops. Prices are cheaper than in Kharkov. Drinks (coffee, tea) at breakfast and dinner are charged. When you check out, the receptionist will tell you the amount. You can rent a safe.
In general, if you are able to independently organize your vacation or you need to enjoy the silence, the hotel is what you need.
