Seeing the low rating, I want to write a review in favor of this hotel. We traveled as a family of three with a 3-year-old child for 7 nights in early July 2008. In Turkey for the third time. We bought a ticket to "Relax-Tour" for $ 1800, the meeting party was "Karya-tour", the airline "Aerosvit". Flew, by the way, with delays (and in the opposite direction, too). An hour and a half from Antalya airport - and we are there.
Saphir Resort and Spa is located near similar style hotels of the Kirman series - Arycanda and Leodikia (also 5 *, the cost is 200 and 100 bucks more for a ticket).
At the reception we were met by a Russian-speaking employee =). Settled in a room with a sea view for an additional 70 bucks. The view was really worth it.

30% of rooms have windows on neighboring hotels, 10% - on the road, the remaining 60% - with sea views. HOTEL is new. Sparkling clean. The architecture of "Sapphire" is beautiful both inside and outside. In the lobby there are palm trees, chic soft sofas, 4 transparent elevators, gilded mirror frames and elegant lamps, marble on the floor.
True, the hotel does not have Wi-Fi, or at least an Internet cafe (although a room has been allocated for this, probably they have not managed to organize it yet), so who needs to "keep abreast", a minute's walk outside the building, the Internet is 2 dallars per hour.
The hotel has a conference room, billiards, a good gym (free of charge) and a spa center (not cheap), as well as a tennis court and ping-pong (also free).

ROOM in a modern style, spacious and comfortable, in bright colors with the ability to connect the light in different corners of the room, including on the balcony.
Room equipment, furniture: two beds (double and one and a half), decorated with pillows and bedspreads, LCD TV - on the wall, minibar, safe (for a fee), a table, a couple of different bedside tables, a coffee table, an armchair, a large mirror on the wall, a mirror over a table, a chic wardrobe (where there were two soft blankets in case of a cool night, packages with the hotel logo and a shoe brush), a picture, flowers, carpet on the floor, fashionable curtains, a wide balcony with special devices for drying clothes. Central air conditioning, built-in, allowing you to adjust the temperature and fan power, worked almost constantly (at least when we were in the room) and silently. When settling in a bar - one 1.5 liter bottle of water. A wide bathroom with a hair dryer, shampoos and, in fact, a bathroom (you can also take a shower there), a telephone: ), a mirror, two types of light.
The service is good.
Towels menu daily, if you throw them on the floor, and the bed is changed 3-4 times a week, the bar is really not filled. Equally well cleaned both with a tip and without. "Swans" on the bed were made even without a tip : ) The only thing I didn't like: cleaning from 12 to 17, and they just approached us by 14-15 during the children's sleep, so we were cleaned every other day, since by 17.00 the cleaners didn't always come back.

Of the minuses - this is loud music, which will be heard even with closed doors and windows throughout the day, if the room has access to the sea (which means to the pools). Sometimes I really wanted to be in silence, enjoying the sound of the surf, which was possible only after midnight. It can be difficult to put small children to sleep. The inconvenience was also caused by the fact that only one key card is issued per room, cat. cannot be handed over to reception. It is also not allowed to bring glasses with liquid and food into the room. Bar refills are chargeable.
But we poured ordinary water into our bottles and brought them into the room.

The hotel TERRITORY is compact (not cramped), well thought out and cozy. There was no feeling of lack of greenery. The palm trees already look beautiful, a lot of grass and flowers, pretty shops, enough corners where you can sit, everything is well-groomed ...It takes two or three minutes to the sea. There are 2 adult pools + 1 indoor in the hotel, one for children with a small slide in the form of an elephant (covered from above with a dome that protects from the sun! ), own water park of three slides. True, there was a feeling that the pools were heavily chlorinated or something else was added there, since my child and I had reddened eyes for a couple of days. So, if you really go to Turkey for the sake of the sea, then it’s better to spend most of your time at the sea : ), the cat, by the way, is clean.
The SEA is a fairy tale, the BEACH is sandy and well-groomed, at the entrance to the sea there are 2 m of pebbles.
The length of the promenade at our hotel corresponded to the length of three neighboring beaches, so there were enough sunbeds both on the coast and near the pools. In neighboring hotels from the sea, the view from the beach was the same as in the Crimea at the height of the season.
Not far from the beach is a picturesque bay. It takes about 5 minutes to go to the cape, boats moor in the harbor, and the water is of an unusual color.
15 minutes of self-swimming separate the land from the real island.
By the sea, all water razvlechenie for a fee. Volleyball free (2 fields).
By the way, there is no bar on the beach itself, but there are guards, a cat. keep order and tourists: ). It is not allowed to bring glass glasses to the beach. But the waiters clean the beach and the pools.

FOOD is tasty and varied (in comparison with the hotels of Fethiye and Marmaris, it loses a little, but as for the coast of Alanya, Side, Antalya - excellent). The range is changed daily by 40-50%. A sea of fruits (watermelons, plums, apricots, etc. ) and vegetables.
Periodically give cherries, strawberries, grapes and melons. Ice cream for a fee. Fresh juices for 2 euros. Largest selection of food for lunch and dinner.
Delicious pastries; with a simpler assortment of meat, but there is always something: either chicken, or cutlets, or beef. Very tasty cakes are baked right in front of tourists in a bar near the beach. There are machines for all kinds of coffee, tea and cappuccino. Separately - beautiful teapots with Turkish tea (only in the restaurant). I also liked the koumiss drink (like our kefir diluted with water).
On Friday, the Turkish night takes place, the dinner is chic, a huge assortment of fruits, sweets, meat, etc. They make compositions of food and ice, nice.
The restaurant area is huge (and beautiful: ) ).
There were enough tables for everyone both in the building (there is air conditioning inside, which served in favor of choosing a room in the 37-degree heat in the evening), and on the street, perhaps also because the waiters immediately cleaned up after eating and reserved the table for new visitors. The queue is observed only once during rush hour (30-40 minutes after the start of dinner) for fried squid: )
There are child seats in the cafeteria. Dishes are always well washed.
In general, the service and work of the waiters and all the hotel staff is commendable. The staff is friendly and decent.
Since the hotel is an all-inclusive hotel, you can also eat in between meals at the snack bar. But we didn't like it - they offer fast food like fried potatoes, pasta and hamburger, and it's not tasty at all. Or dry cookies. In this connection, I advise you to eat in the main restaurant: )

ANIMATION is weak.
There is also a children's playground and an amphitheater on site. The playground itself is good, but there is no greenery around it yet, so children cannot play there during the day, because it is hot under the sun.

For children - miniclub. But there, apart from drawing and watching cartoons, the children were not interested in anything, ours refused to go there. There are discos for children, every day is the same, it seems - on the entire coast of Turkey the same disc with a repertoire : ). The kids really liked it.
What I liked was the music of the animators during the day! Very melodic, playful. There were European hits and even rock classics, for example, Lorena McKinney, krenberis, the Beatles, etc. I would very much like to rewrite a selection of songs. can someone share? : )

Hookah for a fee. after 24.00 all drinks are chargeable.

TOURISTS from Russia - 50%, Turkey - 25%, Germany and other European countries - 20%, Ukraine, Poland, Kazakhstan - 5% rest in the hotel. The people in the hotel are calm.

A few words about EXCURSIONS, to the cat.
have been able to visit.
We did not like fishing with export to a mountain river (it has recently begun to be offered): both fishing itself and organization, tasteless lunch. True, the price included dirt, after the cat. skin really smoothes out.
It is worth noting that the water park in Alanya is small, lunch there is also simple, so it’s better to discuss the possibility of returning to the hotel in advance (officially you need to hang out there from 10 to 16.00).
I liked flying with a parachute behind a boat (it's on the beach). Excursions on the beach are two times cheaper (or outside the hotel) than the guides, but at the same time there is no insurance, and it is hardly possible to separately agree on an early return to the room from the excursion you didn’t like.

TOTAL. Saphir resort & Spa is more family-oriented, not party-oriented (despite the fact that there is a disco in the hotel). Compared to Europe, this is a good 4. If compared with the average 5-star class in Turkey and Egypt, then it corresponds to 5 stars.
The price / quality ratio is excellent (at least this season). I would recommend this hotel to friends.

P. S. Be careful: photos of the hotel on many sites are often confused when posting images of the Sapphire 4 * hotel.
