Perhaps you need to start with the name of the hotel. On this site it is listed as "ACG Hotels Palace", our contract says "AGC Hotels Orient Family", and the locals simply call it Orient Family. I don’t know which of these names is old, which is new, but I will call it the same as the locals called it.
We got to Orient Family on a last-minute trip, “today for tomorrow”. Before that, we had never been to the east of Antalya, and we didn’t really know where we were going. In some ways it turned out better, in some ways worse than expected. So:

Location

The hotel is located in the village of Kestel, from Alanya it is seven kilometers to the east. That is, crawling from the airport for almost three hours, dropping other tourists in the cramped lanes of Alanya. The hotel has four residential buildings and is located on a mountainside so that the first of them is 600 m from the highway, 800 m from the sea (if in a straight line) and 1200 m from the beach (if on foot), and the fourth is another 300 meters farther. The ascent to the mountain is gentle, it is not difficult even in the heat.
There are a couple of steep sections, but they are short - "take-offs" from the street to the first building and in front of the fourth building.

Territory
Medium size, green, but densely built up. It accommodates four residential buildings, three outdoor pools, a fitness center with a hammam and an indoor pool, an outdoor theater, two bars and a couple of shops. Between the buildings there is an alley and several paths with stairs. Pleasantly smells of mountain herbs.

Staff
Basically, very poor knowledge of English, even among administrators, and the lack of Russian. But always smiling and ready to help. This does not apply to bar staff, they have the vocabulary necessary for work in all European languages, but you will not interrogate them for a glass of cola five minutes before the official opening time of the bar. : )

Rooms
It all depends on the body. In our contract it was written “Std.
Double", settled us in the topmost, 4th building, and the room turned out to be spacious, with a living room and a bedroom, a large balcony and an excellent view of the sea. But, for example, the neighbors in the restaurant said that they asked for a Twin, but first settled them in the 1st building, in a cramped room with one double bed.
In general, the worst choice is 1 case. It is crowded and constantly noisy - sometimes cymbals rattle in the restaurant, then music at the bar, then animation is different. In other buildings - the higher the slope and the higher the floor, the better. The sea view opens, depending on the building, from the 2nd or 3rd floor (counting from zero). Living on the 0th or 1st floor, you will see only bushes and paths. The best sea view is from the upper floors, where there are mostly penthouses with very large balconies.
Furniture - as already mentioned here, old, but beautiful. It would look better if hotel guests washed their hands more often.

: ) Bedroom: a good double bed, two bedside tables, a table with a mirror, a closet with a safe and a couple of spare pillows, a window to the hotel corridor (! ) - it does not contribute to privacy, but the farther from the elevator, the less it interferes. The living room is a folding sofa, which is uncomfortable for adults to sleep on (pillows move apart), but it’s quite possible to put children, two large armchairs, a table with four chairs, a couple of dressing tables, a pair of high bedside tables, a TV and a wardrobe with a sink (perhaps they were going to build an apartment -hotel, but changed their mind) and a refrigerator. Bathroom - shower, toilet, countertop with two washbasins, wall and console mirror, hair dryer. The hallway is just a hanger. Balcony - two chairs and a table, plastic.
The rooms are cleaned daily, but the quality is from bungling to excellent.
They always left a dollar on the table, but the figures from the blanket were not always twisted - it also happened that the garbage was not taken out of the room, only the blanket and towels were folded more evenly. Water in the refrigerator was new in 40% of cases.

Pools
Three open between the buildings and one indoor in the fitness center. The water is colder than the sea. The pool between the first and second buildings is the largest, with a decorative wall “under Pamukkale”, with a paddling pool for children. Around the pool is crowded until 1 am, because there is a restaurant, bar and snack bar nearby. Between the 2nd and 3rd buildings - with a paddling pool and water slides, working on a schedule - a couple of hours in the morning, a couple of hours in the afternoon. The bar is open from 10 to 18. Between the 3rd and 4th buildings there is a small pool, without a paddling pool and a bar.

Nutrition
In general, not bad, but highly dependent on the influx of tourists.
On the first day, we were happy about the half-empty restaurant, the variety of dishes and the fact that no one takes more than they can eat, and on the second, we brought several buses of starving people, and it began: crowds at the distribution, lines for sweets, bullying waiters and tables, on which, after the departure of the eaters, it remained uneaten for two more times. There was a lack of dishes, but this is also not surprising: with us, people accidentally brushed whole stacks of plates on the floor.

Kitchen with a slight bias towards Egypt. An abundance of vegetables, local varieties of cheeses. Sausage and sausages - from toilet paper in half with soy. Side dishes are few, but tasty. Chicken - all the time, beef and lamb - in turn. Fish - constantly, but on some days it was tasty, something like mackerel, and on others it was so bony that it was difficult to master even one piece. Fruits and desserts for dinner, apples all day. Of the fruits were only watermelons, grapes and oranges.
Unfortunately, there were no bananas: it was not yet the season, only greenhouses were on sale, and the hotel did not go bankrupt on them. Once they gave Turkish delight, one piece in one hand. Soups - only for dinner and late dinner, tasteless. Snack bar - vegetables, pastries. The ice cream mentioned by other guests was never hit - either on the beach, or in the city or on excursions.
The tea in the dining room was black from teapots and herbal tea in bags, black was constantly running out and you had to wait until a new one was brought out. Coffee - from machines, but not grain, but cheap ground. There were no juices at all, for lunch and dinner there were freely available sugary powdered drinks and cola-fanta-sprite - as much as the bartender will be generous. Local alcohol is in stock, but only one kind of beer, light Ephesus.
Officially, drinks are not available at night, but coffee and tea in the first building is available around the clock, as it should be in general. People come and go all night.

Children and animation
The playground is virtual, it's just a fenced area where there are high chairs - probably there is animation there, but we didn't see it. There are no slides, swings, sandboxes, etc. at all. There is a drawing room near the pool with slides.
Animation for adults takes place, from time to time girls passed through crowded places, invited to group workouts, competitions. In the evenings - shows in the open theater, but weak. It was more interesting to watch the show in the neighboring Paradise from the platform in front of the 4th building.

Beach

This is the main disadvantage of the hotel. On all sites they write that it is 800 m to the sea, but this is only if you know how to fly. In fact, to get to the beach, you need to go down to the highway, go to the left to the unfinished underpass (traumatically, we hold the children by the hand! ), And there into the passage between the cemetery and the garbage dump - and here it is, the nearest beach available to us, just- then 1200 meters from the hotel. Well, or 1500 if you live in the 4th building.
Of course, there is a bus to the beach. With partially broken windows for better ventilation. But he goes every half an hour from 9 am, and during the day he doesn’t go at all in the heat, so we went to the sea on foot. The only time they decided to take the 9 o'clock bus, for some reason it didn't come.
The beach itself is good, entry into the sea is comfortable. There is also a platform, you had to take fishing rods.  In Alanya, unlike, for example, Kemer, the beaches are not fenced, and theoretically anyone can go there, so you should not leave valuables unattended.
Yes, the said beach is in front of the Sunset Beach Hotel, but either it belongs to the same owner, or they agreed among themselves, but Orient Family guests have full access to sun loungers, a beach bar and a Sunset Beach snack bar.
Google maps suggests that Orient Family's own beach is located a little further, but there are only sun loungers and umbrellas, and people still tend to get closer to the bar.
Alternatively, if you go along the highway not to the left, but to the right, then you will come to the city beach. It’s much more pleasant to sit there at sunset, and you don’t have to make your way in the dark between the garbage heap and the cemetery.

Internet
Normal Wi-Fi only near the reception. There are people with tablets and smartphones and a bunch. Already at 15-20 meters, the signal noticeably weakens, so you have to choose whether to sit with a weak signal or stand with a strong one. With a large crowd of people, using Skype is unrealistic. There is also a paid access point with a strong signal from a local TTNET operator, I don’t know the prices.

City and surroundings of the hotel
Alanya is an interesting city, there is something to see. Fortress, caves, port, shopping...There is a bus for 1 euro going to the city right from the entrance to the hotel, but if its schedule is inconvenient for you, then it is only 600 meters to the highway, and city buses fly there every 2-3 minutes.

While walking these 600 meters, there are also shops of various kinds around you, travel agencies, cafes. Textile is not bad, you can take it, but at the point where they sell orange and pomegranate juices, they dilute it. In the city, the choice is better, and the prices, if you move away from the port.

The host
This time we flew with Pegasus. He was pleased with the cooperation with the newly formed airline Kharkiv Airlines, which provided a Boeing-767 for these flights, the two of them are more comfortable in it than in 737. We were met at the airport on time, taken back on time. Hotel guides soared brains no more than they were required by the nature of their activities, and the fact that we did not go on excursions with them was not offended. Okay, in general.

Results
In general, in Alanya, the star rating of hotels is noticeably overestimated. What we saw four stars on, in Kemer would have been pulled by three, and in Western Europe it might not have squeezed it out. Orient Family is no exception, subjectively it is a really good four.
If it is on the first line, yes, have the appropriate service - at least even coffee service at breakfast ...But what is, is.
Again, due to the distance from the beach, we do not recommend this hotel to guests with small children and people with sore feet. It will not be easy for them to overcome this road.
In any case, we had a good rest, we were satisfied. But we will not go here the second time, it is very far from the airport.
