Finally found time to write about our great stay in Mesut.
We knew in advance that we were going far, and therefore, when buying a tour in Baku, we asked to come to Gazipasa airport. There were many of us - me with my husband and child and his parents. We ordered a transfer to the airport, we always do it, inexpensive and very comfortable. We ordered our transfer from Alik, in the VK group. Tours at alik. Real money, great cars.
The hotel itself is quite decent, everything is clean, unobtrusive staff.
Well, let's say for the initial 4, but we did not expect a deluxe level. Therefore, as others write, if you find fault you will see disadvantages even in fashionable hotels.
The food is not varied. But everything is fresh, there was always meat, cheeses, herbs, vegetables and of course Turkish sweets.
For those who like to soak up the beach, as for me - this hotel is not suitable, in this region the beaches are not very well maintained, huge slippery blocks when entering the sea.
Even special shoes won't fit. Sunbeds on the beach are paid, but we did not take them. Since we spent most of our time at the pool or outside the hotel.
During dinner, we went to local restaurants, the prices are low and very tasty almost everywhere! There are a lot of supermarkets, there is an ATM every 300 meters.
We did not plan to take excursions.
But in the end we bought a parachute flight, from the same Alik from VK.
In general, we are satisfied with the rest, and if the hotel has the same attractive price this season, we may choose it again.
Have a nice holiday everyone!
From what I especially liked: excellent cuisine, we always found something to our taste. Very attentive staff, they try to accommodate any wish. The rooms are cleaned every day, and in general the hotel is very clean. All staff are wearing masks, all anti-COVID measures are observed.
Great hammam! Thanks to the administrator Yulia, she recommended excellent masseurs (Aykhan and Naya), we were very satisfied, we took both a body massage and a facial massage.
Of the minuses - there is no beach. We went to beach 4.50 meters to the right, there is a good entrance to the water. The price for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is $2 per day.
Wi-Fi in the room is paid - $ 2 per day (the safe in the room costs the same). We lived on the 2nd floor, in our room it was weak, but I caught Wi-Fi from the hotel lobby.
Near the hotel there are many shops, pharmacies, exchange offices. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Alanyum shopping center. There is a bus stop nearby, it is easy to get to the city center.
The hotel area is small: in addition to the main restaurant, there is a coffee house, a pool bar, a conference room, a children's room, and there is free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
The hotel rooms are clean, cleaned every day, there is air conditioning and a minibar with water. Also paid safe - $ 2 per day. The bathrooms are also well maintained, there was enough soap and shampoo. Family room is a spacious two-room suite with a partition, but without a door, it has 4 beds, 2 wardrobes. The balcony is quite spacious, the view opens onto the courtyard, but you can also see the sea and the beach.
On the territory of 1 swimming pool with a small fenced area for children. It is noteworthy that local Turks mainly like to swim in the pool, there were a lot of them resting at the hotel. Near the pool bar there is even a sports area with exercise equipment.
Main meals in the main restaurant on the ground floor. The peculiarity is that the buffet has returned, the staff collects you only some dishes for dinner: meat, kebabs, liver, fish. In general, the food was enough, and it is varied: delicious olives, watermelons, melons and Turkish oranges. Lots of sweets: cakes, local pastries, soufflé s. There are 2 coffee machines, tea and vending machines with 3 types of juice. You can eat both inside the restaurant with air conditioning and outside on the terrace, and there is a lower floor and an upper one near the road.
The beach is just a few minutes walk: there is a ground crossing, there is an underground one. For your own safety, it is better to use the second option, because local drivers love to accelerate and do not pay attention to road signs and zebras at all. The beach here is municipal, but each hotel is allocated its own area with paid sunbeds - $ 2 per day per person. At Mesut, this is beach number 7 with green sunbeds and orange umbrellas. The beach itself is mostly sandy, with some pebbles. The sea is very warm: up to 30 degrees in July; in general, Alanya is considered the hottest city on the Mediterranean coast, where the air and water temperatures are always a couple of degrees higher. Of the minuses - these are strong waves, which almost did not stop during the entire rest. The red flag was always fluttering on the beach, and it was hardly possible to swim normally. The second minus is a very rocky bottom, there are whole bryls under your feet, which you can easily get hurt on. Moreover, this situation is observed along the entire coast of Alanya, even opposite 5-star hotels.
But the coastal paths and alleys are very beautiful: everything is bathed in colorful flowers, a lot of greenery, tall palm trees. Nice to walk around and enjoy the views.
But it is even more pleasant to walk along the evening promenade when the heat subsides a little. Local fountains and installations are beautifully illuminated with colorful lights. Lanterns and headlights of cars make the night Alanya even brighter. The noise here does not subside until the morning, the nightlife is in full swing.
In summary, this city was too busy for us, and the beach is very rocky for swimming + with strong waves. Obviously, next time we will choose another place to stay.
The hotel is good! Small but cozy! The staff is great! I rested alone and never felt that I was alone! ) motley people! There are very few children, and those are mostly at the pool. The kitchen, as elsewhere in Turkey, apparently. But! I didn’t have time to have breakfast or lunch, by the pool, near the bar, food from 11 to 17 is no worse than in the main restaurant! And crazy delicious ice cream! at certain times) the beach is across the road, nice but rocky! Great with matching shoes! Again, it was Yaroslav who suggested this! The beach is free, but the sunbeds are 2 bucks or 15 lire! Beer is expensive there! 4 bucks! To the center of Alanya on foot 40-60 minutes) depending on how to go) by car 10 minutes) well, it’s a thrill to walk, not the word) in general, I advise you, I rested as I wanted! Calm hotel. For those who want with children, the beach is not suitable, for those who want to hang out, the main thing is not where, but with whom!
- Kitchen (the menu is monotonous, there was nothing from Turkish cuisine), cutlets and meat are disgusting, from the main dishes there is only rice without anything and mashed potatoes that taste like snot, sweets are all on semolina.
- Poor customer service.
Settled in the evening, on the trail. one morning after cleaning, they discovered the loss of an expensive deodorant (Pacco Rabanne $ 40). We could not think that it is necessary to hide everything that has the slightest value. We were not given a key to the safe either.
Immediately after the loss was discovered, everyone was checked many times and only after that they turned to the guide. They approached the reception with him and additionally called the hotline. The director is absent on weekends and we waited for an answer until Monday.
On Monday, the guide reported that their answer was that they never had one and that the maids couldn't steal it. No one from the administration contacted us and they did not react to the situation in any way.
Therefore, if you go to this hotel, hide all things or do not let the maids in or be prepared for theft from the maids and cover-up from the administration.
P. S We have seen a similar review from other customers on one of the sites.
P. S. S. I am attaching photos of the book of complaints and suggestions of the hotel, which is over 20 years old (our only review).
The hotel is not big, 5 floors, there is an elevator, so as not to carry suitcases up the stairs. The interior is decent, overall a pleasant atmosphere.
The hotel staff are hospitable and friendly, the rooms are clean, bed linen and towels are changed, after 2 days, the food is delicious and varied. A huge plus is that there is a beach across the road, three minutes and you are by the sea, but paid sunbeds. The beach worker is a very nice person , always with a smile, carefully monitors the cleanliness of the beach. There are many foreigners in this hotel, maybe because of this short evening programs. They don’t have their own disco, they take them to the center. There are interruptions with Wi-Fi. . The sellers are friendly people, the waiters not only carry food, but also entertain visitors, they can dance for example. The atmosphere is friendly. I am satisfied with the rest in this hotel, there were very pleasant impressions.
I also want to thank the people of Alanya for keeping the city clean, taking care of the trees, watering, cutting. such beauty all around!
Obakoy, Alanya, Mediterranean Region, Turkey
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL, PLEASE CHOOSE Mesut Hotel. The hotel is on the first line, the beach is beautiful. Friendly faces, attentive location to the guests. The hotel rooms are good and comfortable. The only drawback is small compact rooms. But if you consider that you did not come to sit in the room, but to spend time actively, this is not a drawback at all. All comfort is created by smiling and hardworking maids. Many do not know Russian, but their conscientious work and faces show that they value both their work and their reputation for treating clients.
The restaurant where we ate surprised us with a variety of dishes - vegetables in abundance, meat, fish, pastries, sweets, coffee, drinks....The staff deserves an excellent rating!
