Tunisia is a disposable country
Well, now in order...
They offered us a last minute trip to Tunisia for 13 nights at the rate of 21.000 per person in an All Inclusive hotel. I must say right away that the trip is cheap - it’s a sin to complain, as they say. but . . The hotel chosen "Bella Vista" near the airport. The proximity to the airport did not bother at all, as the sound of the sea drowned everything out. We flew through the Pegasus tour operator. The hotel turned out well. Claimed as 4 stars. Buffet on a solid C grade on a five-point scale. sometimes spoiled products came across. over time, they got used to it and knew what dishes to eat and in what place. There was not enough fruit and periodically I watched how our compatriots "fighted" for fruit at the distribution (material for YouTube! ) The freshest food was in the "Snack bar" not far from the sea outlet. The room got a good one in a new building overlooking the sea (special thanks to the guys from the reception for this). But....several times I witnessed complaints from vacationers about the rooms.
Mini tours that the guides advertised so intensively and colorfully are NOT WORTH this money! I then understood why they make a discount when ordering tours on the first day of your stay, while you are not yet aware and have not talked with those who have already traveled....As one of the vacationers said, "all these mini tours" Sucked from the finger ". First and we decided to go to the Sahara as the main goal. To be honest, the move is very tiring, since you are on the road almost all day. We hired a separate car and a separate guide through Pegasus guides, because we didn’t want to waste time collecting compatriots from hotels and having more or less free schedule. This pleasure cost us $ 1.300 for two days for three. The driver named Ali turned out to be a very responsible and conscientious driver, this was evident from the condition of the car and the cleanliness in the cabin (reminded me of my driver). turned out to be a rather dishonorable person and unscrupulous, although, as you could see, he works very well in this environment. Each time, with his filing, we were overcharged for fruits and drinks at stops. "hooked on the tongue" periodically delayed us along the way. I did not tell him that I understood a little Arabic and calmly endured his antics. (there must be a balance of good and bad) on the way we stopped at the Coliseum. for me it was a terrible place, because I feel the negative that there was....In the evening, having reached the village in the sugar, having settled in the hotel for lodging, we were taken to the camp of virly, where they rode camels on the sands for 1 hour and back to the room. In the morning at 4.00 we went back to the hotel, on the way making a stop for jeep riding on the sands (honestly for me there was nothing extreme there - driving around the city sometimes brings more adrenaline) and 1 hour rest at the waterfall. (that's the whole Sahara! ) the rest of the time it's a road. . . a road. . . a road. According to my surveys, the majority of vacationers (or rather, all my respondents) didn’t like the laser show! We were in the Safari Park - our zoo in Novosibirsk is 10 times larger in area and hundreds of times larger in terms of animal species. We went on ATVs - my son liked it!
It is quite unpleasant to encounter when drinks are not included in the cost of a mini tour at lunch. and offered to tourists at inflated prices. throw in a couple of bucks if you don't have enough money and turn on at least plain water! Whiskey, wine, cola and all other filth, let people take themselves as they wish.
The spa and tallaso therapy praised in the reports (my wife went) is the same as everywhere else! nothing beyond the natural and up to the standard or to the title of "Capital of Tallasotherapy" - very far...
In general, the country of Tunisia is impoverished like a "church mouse" and this is probably what sometimes caused aggression from the local population and a great desire to rob tourists! Personally, in Kairouan, near the mosque, I literally fought off a crowd of adult beggars who shouted bad words at my back. Our compatriot and hotel neighbor, walking around the monasir in the evening, broke his wrist while calming the insolent local resident demanding money from him.
very . . very . . many garbage dumps around. Perhaps this is the lifestyle of the local population.
There is one more fact (! ) near our hotel IN THE COASTLINE there were absolutely empty hotels, there were also abandoned hotels with broken windows and destroyed buildings (AND THIS IS IN THE COASTLINE) This proves the decline of tourism!
1. The cheapness of the voucher is 21000 per person with flight and accommodation "all inclusive"
2. more or less normal hotel.
3. sea + sun. the beach is clean.
1. Low standard of living and unemployment of the local population
2. low level of service of local tours as well as their inflated cost
3. attitude towards tourists.
In general, we are satisfied with the rest considering the price. but we will not return to Tunisia again! Grow them more and grow!
