Tunisia or Egypt?
Of course, visiting Tunisia, you will have your own opinion; tourists who have visited these two North African gems lean towards more exotic Egypt, but after living in Egypt for almost a month and in Tunisia for about a year, I still choose Tunisia.
Why?
Firstly, the climate is milder and more predictable, the bright sun shines all year round and there are no sudden changes in temperature, the hottest month is August, but, compared to Egypt, no one has heart failure. Although winter is our autumn, it can be cool, the sea is also 15 degrees. But you can always swim in the pool, who are interested in this type of vacation.
Fighting draw.
Secondly, people. A more respectful attitude towards a woman who is more educated and very often earns much more than a man and can get divorced more easily, and the level of average salaries in Tunisia is gradually approaching Russian, so that semi-literate and low-paid Egypt loses.
Thirdly, the cuisine, which is very interesting, Moroccan-Italian-French, compare with simple national Egyptian cuisine or all-inclusive food, and again the comparison is not in favor of my respected and adored Egypt!
Fourth, transport and security. Comparing my trip in a Sharm el-Sheikh taxi, when I was almost robbed, and after many years, I still remember the face (impudent face) of that taxi driver, in Tunisia, such a situation is basically impossible, the driver is obliged to turn on the meter and even independently taxi I feel completely safe, especially in the back seat.
It's nice, but the state is also concerned about the moral convenience of tourists, in the noisiest and not the cleanest local market it is LEGALLY forbidden to grab tourists by the hands and forcibly drag them to their shop, already 3:0 (again not in favor of Egypt).
Fifthly, the star rating of hotels. 4 Egyptian stars - God forbid that 2.5 European ones. 3 Tunisian stars are solid 3 European stars, and again, NOBODY climbs into your soul with their intrusive service! 4:0.
Sixth, there are no pyramids - 4:1. But it is full of Bedouins, camels, oases, safaris. Second draw.
Seventh, thalassotherapy. We will not compare with our Saka mud, they are the best in the world, but in Egypt there is no such thing, 5:1.
Eighth, shopping. The best shopping in my life was in the market opposite the Lviv railway station, but if we compare Italian Tunisian stocks (frips), pleasantly inexpensive Swiss watches (about 100 bucks), embroidered with colored galabia threads, fashionable shoes and bags embroidered with local gems (among such connoisseurs gypsies, like me), in comparison with Egyptian-made slippers and T-shirts and their beautiful, but poor-quality leather products, already 6:1.
So Tunisia wins!! !
