It was our honeymoon trip and my first trip abroad! 100% exotic tour - everything is different from ours))
We were settled in Marhab (translated from Arabic as "Welcome") in a 2-storey Neptune complex on the territory of a hotel complex overlooking the pool and palm trees. On the second day, we asked for another room with a sea view. And we got in the same Neptune, only in a different wing, with a beautiful view of the sea from the second floor....sunrise and night horizon daily!!!
Only on the 7th day of our stay in the morning we heard the promised construction noise (which we read about, by the way, from other users of Turpravda) and then: it lasted until lunch, because then it was hot. Although the construction was carried out at the main building on the opposite side. Which of them other tourists wrote about - I don’t know))
We were so tired and culturally involved that the noise did not bother us.
The cleaning lady was left 1 dinar, but our friends did not leave - we and they still had sheets lined with roses. So decide for yourself.
True, we somehow, returning to the room, saw a stream of ants across the entire length of the room. But they did not touch anyone and disappeared from the room exactly at dawn, when the maid was supposed to come))) So it was 2 nights and the reason is not clear... exotic!
We had our own towels - both nicer and more reliable. And then the blue faded color of those towels is somehow not very . .
If you don’t want someone to rummage through your things and fold it neatly on a high chair, then it’s better to fold and unfold everything on your own before leaving and not spoil your nerves, saving the cleaning lady from unnecessary work.
Meals we have half board: in the morning and in the evening we dined. It was enough with our heads, since we went on all the excursions and we even missed half of these breakfasts. Be sure to have breakfast before leaving for any one- or two-day excursion (Sahara, Carthage), because it was difficult to live without food before the first halt. Or, if you're late, like us, take something with you.
A buffet table is a great thing - the Slavs had 3-4 servings of different things for one! Yes, and the Slavs themselves in the hotel were very good. We ate sweets, to put it mildly, like everyone else who was there and left their reviews here)))) Therefore, we lasted dinner for an hour))))))
don't like spicy food - don't eat those orange sauces, otherwise chilli forever))
In the evening, as they advised here, they left the waiter for tea from each dinar, i. e. 2 dinars. Although we identified our waiter only on the 5th day of our stay (the first 2 evenings we did not see him at all next to us, then we left for the Sahara, and then we were transferred to another table, where a more experienced waiter showed up). Our neighbors didn’t leave anything for him, so when they had their last dinner, they didn’t decorate their half of the table (they had left earlier), but they laid out a romantic dinner for us in crimson and white flowers on the last evening of our stay. Like this!!!
The range of food is large, but relatively constant.

Animators prepared something every evening, competitions, shows. But the Berbers didn’t surprise me: like rural people, they just cook everything for themselves, get it, only they look very young (a woman at 75 looks 55) - $180 for everything
Carthage - there is almost nothing left of it, so, for the general development (like, my foot has set foot here), the history is interesting and very big. Further on, the city with white houses and blue shutters - Sidi Bou Said - beautiful, rich, many flowers. The Bardo Mosaic Museum is amazing!
National wedding evening and laser show: a wedding on the street is not very interesting, in a hut it is already more interesting, and the laser show is super, unique. They say there is in Egypt, but not so stellar. It is better here. -$55

And one more thing: if someone offered to show and tell you something (about the medina, for example, like us), first ask the price, otherwise 20 dinars after the fact for two is an excellent move by an English-speaking Arab)))....out of the blue divorced! Patience, friends))
Port El Kantaoui - for a change, you can watch the fountains to the music, because it's too much to call them singing, as well as a lot of cafes and yachts. On water excursions, fishing, etc. , which are offered there, it was advised not to go.
What we forgot and what we needed to take: glasses (there is a good breeze and sunshine in the Sahara), hydrogen peroxide, a lifeguard, facial skin care products, large bags for gifts, because they have small ones, sunscreen, not for tan))
What you need to take besides everything: chargers for mobile phones, flip flops, caps and half a bag of all the necessary little things, fewer things, a warm jacket came in handy at the Kiev railway station....One bag for two is enough!
