We arrived in Tunisia on July 11.2014, and upon arrival the tour operator offered us to change the hotel from Marhaba Palace to Riu Imperial Marhaba, without explaining the reason, but claiming that they were ready to improve our conditions. We were so tired after the road that we agreed. We liked the hotel and the meeting was very warm. The next day, we met with the guide and immediately signed up for a two-day jeep safari tour (I’ll tell you about it later) We began to get acquainted with the hotel, enjoy our vacation, having worked up an appetite, we went to dinner in the evening....and then we were in for a big trouble! I was in breeches and we were not allowed to have dinner, because they supposedly have a dress code about which we didn’t know anything at all !! ! We didn’t even know any information about the hotel, because the hotel at the airport was changed for us, we knew a lot about the hotel where we were going and these moments were not foreseen there. We went to bed hungry, but we had the hope that tomorrow we would buy trousers and go to the most unforgettable social dinners in our lives! The next day we went shopping in search of trousers…. you can buy magnets. . . bags…. olive oil and a million other goods, but buying trousers in Africa was impossible! We were left without dinner for the second day and began to feel like punished children who were punished with dinner for bad behavior! The next day we went on an excursion for two days! (and we missed one more coveted and curious secular dinner) When we were on an excursion, I approached our guide Nadezhda and explained that we had a problem with dinner because of the trousers and she promised to help us buy the ill-fated trousers! (A very interesting girl, sympathetic to every tourist and perfectly told about Tunisia) Arriving at the Berber settlement, somewhere in the desert, we found trousers with her in the same shop....with national embroidered patterns…. but I didn't care! Having bought trousers two sizes smaller (they were only in one copy), we happily got to the hotel, forgetting about fatigue and hoping to attend the evening ball and the long-awaited dinner! We went into the restaurant, we were met by some vile man, smiling maliciously and led to a table where we were supposed to enjoy a wonderful dinner surrounded by secular ladies and gentlemen. Looking around, I saw a picture exactly like breakfast and lunch…. . only here for breakfast and lunch in this restaurant you can go to tourists in swimsuits, bikinis with transparent pareos... and in the evening, with a wave of a magic wand, everyone turned into princes and luxurious ladies running around with plates around the buffet, and the waiters at that time watched the elite public in expensive suits and dresses scouring in search of food, poured some wine on them...... Looking at such a "performance", the hotel management thinks to raise the prestige of their hotel?! ! Funny!!!! ! After sitting for a while and understanding the whole circus from what is happening, they bring me a questionnaire about what I think about the hotel. I gave good marks for everything except the organization of dinners...... after seeing this assessment, the restaurant manager or who he is, I don’t know (comrade with a malicious smile) everyone immediately began to run around us, not with the question: what will you drink, but with the question is when you can already pick up the questionnaire in order to liquidate it faster! ))))) (I had to hide it in my wife's purse) I was not too lazy and wrote a review too! ))) And threw it into a special box for questionnaires. They probably pulled it out with tweezers and wires! )))) In general, in general, I always take only positive aspects from the trip, and I try not to notice the cons! It will be boring for young people there, especially those who are waiting for animation and entertainment like in Turkey! The food is excellent, the hotel is excellent, the staff is smiling and kind! For guidance, a wish: Be simpler and people will reach out to you! Do not invent nonsense for tourists and do not make social clowns out of them! They come to rest to you from their costumes and works!!!! ! As for the jeep safari tour, I think they didn’t name it correctly....it should have been called "Know Tunisia like a tourist! " People are sometimes frightened that they will be driving jeeps in the desert for two days. A wonderful bus and a wonderful trip of 1200 km in Tunisia! This is the most interesting excursion among all offered and no laser show, pirate ship or something else will tell about the country we decided to see (I wanted to see the country, people, lifestyle, customs and sights) Have a nice holiday everyone and don't change horses on the way!!! ! Go to the hotel you know about and do not agree to change your tourist routes on the go!
