Animation is mainly in French and German (Christian - gold), but Russian is diligently studied. We went to the open sea on a "pirate" ship. Mario (fluent in 6 languages) organized this fun swimming for us, caught an octopus in the open sea, photos, barbecue, dancing - respect and respect! The sand is white and fine. The room was cleaned cleanly, for dinner in a restaurant, people in shorts were gently turned around, asked to be at the parade and served at fixed tables (the waiter Mohamed is a darling! ). The chef personally controlled everything. Now about the sad. . . It's a pity that they are going to tear down the building - to make "five" after the season. Sea with jellyfish, for an amateur. There is nothing for children. Camels, mules, and ambre horses pass along the beach and are not for the faint of heart. Those who go to drink - not here. Among vacationers, elderly German and French couples predominate. We did not take excursions, the weather was good, it stormed a couple of times.

It was cool in May, but they swam, especially a child. There are no Russians, the baby (she is three years old) began to speak a little English, having talked with children from England. The food is the finest. The number of rooms is not very new, it did not bother me, but my husband drew attention to this.

I liked everything very much: very friendly staff, super service, though they don’t really treat Russians in bars: bartenders think that Russians only come to drink, not to relax, but if you give them money, they will be ready to carry you in their arms. There are few Russians in May, on the one hand it’s even very good, you come and find yourself in paradise and there are no drunken faces.

They feed for slaughter, everyone will find what they want. If you go to this hotel, you will definitely not regret it, it will not be boring there: you can go for a walk in the center of Sousse or go to the port, which takes about 5-7 minutes to walk. Turkey compared to Tunisia is like our Russian south.

We stayed at the end of July/beginning of August 2010. The hotel was chosen based on reviews. Thanks to everyone who wrote them, it helped us a lot. We are glad that we made the right choice. The hotel is conveniently located, 30-40 minutes drive from the airport (with a stop at other hotels), 15-20 minutes from the center of Sousse.

The hotel is suitable for a relaxing family holiday, better for couples who come without children. It will be boring for teenagers (there are no noisy party discos, and after midnight everything calms down), and for small children, entertainment is mostly only natural - the sea, sand. There is a children's pool on site, and the hotel has a small games room. Animators play with children on the beach and by the pool. True, a 10-minute walk is Port El Kantaoui with a large amusement park, souvenir shops, a botanical garden, a singing fountain, cafes, etc. Here there is expanse for children.
The hotel itself is quite large, the rooms are not new (furniture, plumbing), but everything is not dilapidated and everything works. If it doesn't work, they fix it quickly. Wonderful attentive staff, always ready to help. The only thing is without knowledge of the Russian language (they know a few words, but they are happy to learn from Russian tourists, they are 15-20% in the hotel, and most of all the French). French, German, English no problem. The exchange rate is the same for the whole country, so it is most convenient to change money at the reception. Only one-way exchange currency for dinars, do not change back.
Be careful with sea view rooms. Most likely, it will be lateral, and the sea will hardly be visible there. You can change, but do not rush - the rooms with a wonderful direct sea view are smaller, older and located closer to the central part of the hotel in the 1st building - in the evenings it can be noisy there due to evening shows. But the rooms on the 1st floor should be changed to the 2nd or 3rd floor, feel free to ask about it immediately upon arrival at the reception. They will replace it without any extortion.
The rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every day, upon arrival they put a piece of disposable soap, there are no gels and shampoos. If you tip, they can put a new bedspread on the bed and fold it nicely. But even without a tip, everything is done normally. The room has a shower, hairdryer, bath, TV with 1 channel in Russian, safe.
The food is plentiful, except for milk porridge, there seems to be everything - fresh juices, meat of various types, fish, fruits, vegetables, salads, soups, pizza, side dishes, desserts, wine, beer, water, carbonated drinks, etc. And everything hot is fresh, cooked in front of you on the grill. Dirty dishes are cleaned immediately. They put up child seats. They are fed from morning to evening - breakfast with fragrant dates and croissants, second breakfast, lunch, pancakes for afternoon tea, dinner. There is a Tunisian restaurant Shahrazad. It works 3 days a week, you can dine there once during your stay, but you need to book a table 3-5 days in advance. Alcoholic drinks in assortment at the bar at the reception and by the pool. But alcohol is almost not poured into cocktails at the pool bar, it is better to take them at the bar at the reception, and then go out into the air.
The territory is well-groomed, green, palm trees, lawns, bushes with flowers. Everything is organized according to the mind - there is where to swim, sunbathe, take a walk, eat, dance, sit and chat.
The beach is sandy, the entry into the sea too, the sand is white, the water is warm, only when the wind rises, it becomes a little cool, there are strong waves. There are almost no jellyfish, there are algae, they grow at the bottom, swim in the water, they are carried to the beach. They are cleaned, but not really, so sometimes it feels like it's dirty on the beach and in the water. Plus, garbage from a person’s stay is washed ashore, especially with strong surf. Towels are issued at the reception, mattresses are worn by a worker every morning. You can give a tip, then he will bring a slightly newer mattress and lay out a towel for you. It is better to take places on the beach before breakfast, at 7-8 in the morning. After breakfast, they can put additional sunbeds and mattresses for you, but there may not be enough space under the umbrella.
From the animation there is aqua aerobics, water polo, beach volleyball, darts, gymnastics, boccia. There is a team of tanned black Tunisians working - the guys are funny, they light up all day, however, mostly by the pool. In the evenings, amateur shows, dances, karaoke are organized, sometimes professional actors are invited. On the beach you can ride a parachute, scooter, banana boat, catamaran, etc.
The hotel has a private spa. You can “for show” do a one-time peeling and algae wrap there, but if you need high-quality thalasso therapy, this is not the hotel.
For souvenirs, it is better to go to the center of Sousse, in the so-called. medina, there are clothing and fruit markets. There is a state souvenir shop Sula there, but prices are higher there, and in the medina you can bargain - the price is dropped 3-5 times. From souvenirs you can buy ceramic dishes, embroidered fabric bags, camel leather, olive tree, dates, Tibarin date liqueur, Buha fig moonshine, olive oil, Magon wine, nutmeg wine, cactus fruits, bracelets with your name in Arabic, drums, hookah, African masks, etc. Who doesn’t want to go to the medina, you can buy all this in Port El Kantaoui, maybe a little more expensive, since prices are fixed in many stores. By the way, there is also a good brewery and an ice cream house nearby. Alcohol is sold in the General store, it is also in Porto, on the right, if you stand facing the tower - the entrance to the harbor. Of the modes of transport, it is more convenient to take yellow taxis, there is a counter, but you can also bargain. In order not to “get tired” of annoying merchants, you should not accept any offers from them and enter into long conversations if you are not going to bargain and buy something specific. But it's also not worth putting on a mask of gloom. Rush is calculated immediately.
Of the excursions, I liked the 2-day excursion to the Sahara (just don’t buy dates in boxes and zero-pressed oil there) and a laser show about the history of Tunisia. Both provide an opportunity to learn about the history of the country and understand how Tunisia lives today. For children there is an excursion to the zoo with a folklore show after. More shopping excursion - Tunis-Carthage.
The heat is well tolerated, during our stay it was 32-34 degrees, on the coast the wind saves from the heat, and in the Sahara the air is dry, it is easy to breathe.
In general, the impressions of the holiday are good, a quality hotel, a good beach holiday, plus interesting excursions with a touch of African-Arab exoticism and, of course, a lot of souvenirs bought as a keepsake. The main thing is to take with you a good mood and a positive attitude to rest.

Rested in early June 2010 at the Hotel Riu Green Park. I read a lot of reviews and chose it as the best. And I wasn't wrong. No complaints! Unless on the first day they settled in some kind of “utility room”. But the first night did not spoil the rest of the stay in this hotel. Compared to the advertising descriptions, something has changed in the direction of convenience.

So, beach towels are given without a deposit. Change them as many times as you like. And the first time - in exchange for a card, which should be given along with the keys to the room. Drinking water (with or without gas) in the room must be taken by yourself at the bar near the reception. It opens at 17:00.
The building is built in the shape of the letter C, in the middle is the main entrance, reception and restaurant. Therefore, from the rooms at both ends, you have to make a rather big way before eating. But you can go outside from the emergency doors - there are several of them with stairs to the floors. The building has a recreation complex Center Wellness (exercise equipment, massage, SPA, Ayurveda), children's room, medical care, sale of souvenirs.
On the territory there are 2 rather big pools (more than 2 meters deep) and one "paddling pool". Between them is a bar for alcoholic drinks (from 10 to 18), as well as an open area for second breakfasts (from 10 to 12), lunch (from 12 to 15 ) and snacks (from 15 to 17), installations for drinks (tea, coffee, soda). And right there access to the beach. Straw umbrellas. Comfortable sunbeds. Mattresses are spread in the morning by staff (usually running). Someone gives money, but this does not affect the speed. At the first pool, another worker delivers mattresses and gives out towels. Therefore, if you plan to lie around the pool all day, then get towels on the first day here. When you check out, you will receive a card back. And if with in the morning to the beach - there. There are several open showers, toilets with changing rooms. You need to take your places early in the morning. Although some put sunbeds on the grass without umbrellas.
The sea was cold in the morning. After lunch - waves, but warmer. In general, I have never seen that natural garbage was removed on the coastline (algae and human objects).
Animation - male dancers from different countries. During the day, gymnastics and games, in the evening - presentations of your composition at the level of KVN of the senior classes of our schools. A couple of times there were visiting guest performers (tricks, dances).
The menu is for every taste. And meat every day at least 3 varieties. Moreover, in plain sight they are fried, and not warmed up yesterday. Unfortunately, the strawberries have already departed, they were only on cakes. Watermelons, melons - during the day. Freshly squeezed juices in the morning - several times a week (in the far corner, where spaghetti is fried during the day).
The room is standard, the bathroom is separate. Cleaned daily at different times. Soap was really given one small round for two for the whole time. But there is a liquid on the wall near the bath (either shampoo or soap). Hairdryer available. Small TV fridge. There is one Russian channel on TV (First). On the balcony there is a table with chairs, a metal clothes dryer is attached to the wall. On the first day, the allocated room was 2 times smaller, the bathroom was combined, without a mirror and a table, without a balcony, but with access through the window to the roof. It's better not to remember. . .
The hotel is located a 10-minute walk from El Kantouki Port. This is a small settlement with many shops, including the General store (products). The goods are basically the same. Where there is no cash desk, you can bargain if there is nothing else to do. But it’s better to go around all the points a couple of times (especially since they are located within a radius of 100 meters), and then make purchases.
The cost of olive oil in General in terms of our money is about 150 rubles per liter. The best variety according to the guide is Ruspina. In duty free at the airport, oil is not cheaper. But the local liqueur "Tibarin" (similar in taste to "Becherovka") at the airport is almost 2 times cheaper.
