Tunisia, Monastir, Skanes Serail "AQUAPARK" 4**** and small tips....Part 2
During our stay at Skanes Serail, four have been replaced by four!!!!??? ? hotel guides, I don’t understand what is the policy of Anex? But here it is. happiness of the hotel guide: in Tunisia there is no alternative for excursions. because the prices are the same everywhere (even in another agency they were slightly higher than those of Anex)
TUNISIS-CARTHAGE-SIDI BOU SAID100 dinarchel, departure 06-15, return to the hotel at 18-30
Carthage : we looked at 2 parts of the ruins, a piece of the city with beautiful villas (embassies, etc. ) The guide was not very good, he was happy to "warm his ears" near other groups...
Sidi Bou Said: a beautiful blue and white town, but as always, time for a walk is very limited... By the way, if you wish (and have time), you can visit several. houses-museums, there is also the estate of Baron d "Anglar (5 din. people) nearby - but it is better to visit the Dar-Essid house-museum in Sousse (see below)
Then there was lunch at a restaurant on the beach. . .
Then the capital - the city of Tunis. . . Unfortunately, they don't take them to the Bardo Museum now (an alternative for lovers of Roman mosaics is the archaeological museum of Sousse: see below). We went through the center. avenue, looked into the Medina ("bazaar") and home....
NABEL-KELIBIA-KERKUAN-Cape BON-wine tasting80 dinchels, departure 06-15, return 19-00
It seems that the guide did not know exactly where to go, he was discussing something with the driver: as a result, we arrived in Hamamet, 40 min. free time. . .
Hamamet embankment near Medina
We didn't have time to take a walk: "oh, sorry, there is no Hamamet in the program, we are going to Nabeul"Well, at least we looked in. . .
Nabeul: promised a tour of the city + a ceramic workshop.... As a result, we ended up only in a ceramics shop. "And the city? " "Yes, today is market day, it's impossible to get through. . . "
Kelibia: we left near the port, walked for 15 minutes. "Upstairs is a Spanish fortress, now a military facility. Let's go further" ???!!! !
Kerkuan: ruins of a Phoenician city (presumably) 8th century BC e. The remains of the foundations are 30-40 cm high, we wandered for 30 minutes, already near the bus we found out that there is a museum here, but....we have to go...
Cape Bon : the most north-eastern point, 120 km to Sicily, walked, took pictures...
Next, lunch on the beach and swimming (they promised at least an hour on the beach, it turned out to be 15 minutes)
Next - wine tasting.... Here we were pleasantly surprised: usually at tastings of 5-7 varieties, they poured 20-30 ml each and that's it....Right there (for 20 people) there are 18 bottles on the table, briefly told about each and further - try as much as you want. The taste is quite European . . To the credit of our group, we didn’t drink everything : ))))
And then, having cheered up and cheered up, we went to the hotel. . . By the way, along the way, you come across small villages with roadside bazaars - you can ask to stop and buy fruit.
We didn’t go to the Sahara (expensive, for a long time + saw enough of the desert and Bedouins in Egypt), people from the neighboring hotel told (and the guides confirmed): passing through some town they went on strike (residents demanded a meeting with the mayor), dorgu blocked, stood for 5 hours surrounded by "natives"...
Conclusions: after these trips I understood the following
-I don't want to go to Tunisia any more
-if you go, it's better to go north, starting from Hamamet: it's more beautiful (nature is greener, the sea is deeper and cleaner, we didn't see jellyfish), closer to the sights, cities look somehow more civilized.
-it's better to get to interesting places yourself (Sidi Bou Said, for example) and have more free time
