No hamam, massage too, a lot of obsessive hucksters. The food is cooked poorly, the queues in the canteen are huge. otherwise, specially trained overseers who do not know the Russian language are kicked out from the table and the plate is taken away! the beach is full of algae, the sea is full of jellyfish, and the pool has a lot of chlorine! there are no animators, they can only pester women, there are no excursions, it would be better not to go.

Check-in: when we went to the reception desk and saw a huge queue, we were very upset, but after 10 minutes a hotel worker in a red T-shirt ran up to us and happily announced that for only $ 30 he would make us the best room in this hotel. We agreed without hesitation, because the amount is not so big, so as not to wait in line and get the "best number".

Entering the room, we were a little perplexed - he offered us a standard room. To our bewilderment, we were told that this was "the best room in vis wanted and we will cry when we see other numbers. " It only remained to believe. With $50, he returned $15, saying that he had no more change. The evening came and it turned out that our windows overlook a disco organized by animation. The next day, the number had to be changed, because the disco lasts until 23:00, and sometimes (especially after excursions) you want to sleep much earlier.
Having settled in and being late for lunch, we decided to have a bite to eat in a bar where they make sandwiches and pizza - the chef put the stuffing for the sandwich with his bare hands occasionally driving away flies, and the pizza turned out to be with raw dough sticking to the teeth - but the people, as I saw, liked it (about the contingent of this hotel a little later). The beach at first sight also disappointed us, but as it turned out later it was better than the others. Narrow beach and sea with algae (algae were removed in the morning, unlike the neighboring beach). The sunbeds are very old and it was a little disgusting to lie on them.
The air conditioners in the rooms are not cold. (we changed 4 rooms and it didn’t cool in any of them, it only blew warm air), there is no hair dryer and safe in the rooms, the lighting in the rooms is sooooo dim.
DINNER: TIN!! ! 11 The people are just crowds. The contingent of this hotel is gaining food as if they are going on a monthly trip to Siberia . . and naturally without eating anything. Guests from Algeria like to feel all the bread with their hands and then put it back, pick up watermelons with their hands, and throw the fallen pieces into a common dish, they also throw the fallen spaghetti back into a common dish. There are almost fights for plates, almost fights for the food that is handed out. it's just hell.
In the morning the dining room opens at 6:30, but apart from yesterday's rolls and coffee there is nothing there. Around 7 am, the cook just comes out to fry the eggs. In the morning there is nothing but eggs. They regularly cook beans and something else that NOBODY eats - but they cook it anyway. If you snatch the meat, it is quite tasty. The rest of the food is just disgusting. The food at this hotel is something that will infuriate and piss you off 3 times a day every day.
Our daily excursions are what saved us from this tin.
AND NOW ABOUT VERY SAD.
On the day of departure, the spouse left the phone in the toilet near the beach and, remembering him (of course), did not find him there. Turning to the front desk, we found complete indifference to our problem. Only by contacting the animators we found support, but their possibilities are limited, but the guys supported us psychologically very cool. They are very grateful for this.
We had a late check out, so we decided to pay extra for a late check out. At the reception we were told that our room was already booked and they would offer us another one. The first room offered to us was renovated BUT the bed was made. The second room offered to us was not cleaned - a straightened bed, cigarette butts on the floor, toilet paper on the floor. They promised to fix everything in 2 hours. While we were looking for a lost phone, 2 hours passed. Yes, everything was cleaned, only they didn’t give us towels, and the beds were filled with linen from old guests, as it was stained and characteristically wrinkled. Well, how to call it?
AND THE CHERRY ON THE CAKE! ! Arriving home, we discovered that 25.000 rubles had been stolen from us from the package with documents. Suspicions immediately fell on the cleaner No. 380 in which we lived the entire vacation until the last day. And the money disappeared on the day of departure. The cleaning lady turned out to be noble - she left 5.000 rubles for the return trip. And we trusted her - she was sweet and friendly. We lived in this hotel from 07/08/2017 to 07/18/2017.

The hotel fully justified both the expectations and its "star" status, without any particular drawbacks, quite suitable for families with children and friends. At the reception, fill out the card and in 10-15 minutes you are in the room, don’t even try to remember the way to the room right away) it will come by itself after 5-6 independent trips through the hotel’s corridors.

At the reception, fill out the card and in 10-15 minutes you are in the room, don’t even try to remember the way to the room right away) it will come by itself after 5-6 independent trips through the hotel’s corridors. We got number 324, the third floor in block A, the view was on the neighboring hotel (nothing remarkable and even a little upset at first, as well as the lack of a balcony) and the rising sun. If you have knowledge of the language, at least English, at the reception, specify your wishes about the room, so that they are nearby if you come with a company, the presence of a balcony, etc. if there is a possibility certainly consider . In general, the staff is quite friendly and tries in every way to eliminate the problems that arise for us. The room itself, in principle, you can spend the night, there is a TV with a Russian channel, and there is nothing special to highlight, solid 3, the only thing that bothered me personally was the tiled floor in the room, very slippery and sticky.
The food at the hotel is quite varied, especially in the early days, but after several meals you understand that it is especially tasty for you, and in principle you stop your choice. The menu includes beef, chicken, fish, several types of potatoes, pasta, rice, legumes, a variety of casseroles, stews and fresh vegetables, soups are mashed soups, well, for an amateur, fruits are always melons, apples, grapes, pears, dates. What particularly struck me was the large assortment of sweets, and most importantly, almost all of this abundance is really tasty.
Of the drinks, only the beer (Celtia) was pleased, they are poured from 10 in the lobby bar and from 11 in the snake bar, quite a decent light beer. I also recommend trying red wine, which is also relatively good, it's just to diversify the bar. Stronger drinks can be taken once to try what a tasteless thing it is, they are highly diluted, so if you have the opportunity and need, bring it with you. We didn’t have enough time to go to Sousse (10 km), since the sale of strong alcohol is allowed in Tunisia only in the General supermarkets.
If you want to go yourself to the neighboring cities, these are Monastir and Sousse, approximately the same distance from the hotel, it is better to take a taxi (yellow cars), they stand right outside the hotel gate, the trip costs 10 dinars (200 rubles) one way, the initial price may be offered and 40 dinars, calmly reduce the price, and if everything happens, you can leave for 8. Also, bus number 52 runs to the center of cities, the fare is 1 dinar, but this is 20 minutes longer (travels along the route) and you definitely won’t win in comfort . Souvenir shopping can be done at the Folla shopping center, which is located directly opposite the hotel across the road.
The territory of the hotel is not very big, but you can't call it small either. The central part of the hotel is, of course, a large swimming pool, divided by artificial straits into three parts, a large deep and sunny one, and two smaller ones (1.25 m) and shady ones. There is also a children's pool with a depth of 0.8 m. This part of the hotel is planted with palm trees and shrubs, the area is clean and relaxing. The second part of the hotel territory is located on the side of the entrance, in front of the main entrance, these are two pools with slides, there is also a stage for evening animations.
As for the sea, I recommend going there in the morning (8-9 o’clock), at this time it is calm and, most importantly, clean, because in the later hours the excitement rises and it no longer seems clean because of the algae caused by the surf and rising sand. And so, in principle, I have no complaints, the sea pleased).
The hotel is good and if you do not look for cons, then you will have a great rest).

If 10 days of vacation for two costs $ 700, then no objections... And more expensive, think carefully. There is a sea of garbage around, people are like gypsies, they only strive to lure out your money. The sea is dirty, there are a lot of jellyfish that sting painfully, I have burn marks. Sunbeds on the beach need to be taken from 5 in the morning. , restaurant - too. Numbers for 3, air conditioners work poorly. Guide - met, talked, took money for the tour and disappeared, he doesn’t pick up the phone either. At the reception, you can’t agree on anything if you don’t know English, French. but if you know - they do not respond to wishes. If you want to have a good rest and get positive emotions - forget about Tunisia forever!! !

Stayed in Howd from 10.06. to 21.06. 2012. In general, the hotel can be described as a good three or a bad four, but this has already been described in detail by previous reviewers. Therefore, I will try to focus on key topics that have not been touched upon and not disclosed properly.
As a separate and main point, I will note the most important drawback of the hotel, namely the LACK OF SEA.
In my understanding, the MEDITERRANEAN SEA should be transparent and, depending on the weather, cast in all shades of blue and blue. So it was and is in Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Israel and other Mediterranean countries. And now you will agree, what is the point of traveling thousands of kilometers from home to see a shallow puddle of brown-gray-black color? Let me explain in more detail: the Houda beach hotel is located in the area of Skanes, located between the cities of Sousse and Monastir. The area of Skanes is a bay with a low-lying shore, which is an estuary flat shoal. The bottom of the shallows - up to a depth of half a meter - is a narrow thin strip of probably imported sand, then a thick layer of sticky, viscous and black silt. Because of this, the sea near the coast has a reddish-gray color, then black. Because there are no waves in the bay and cannot be because of the shallow bottom, the wind constantly raises small ripples that hit the eyes and face of the swimmers. In addition, given that the silt does not let the sun's rays through, the water in the bay is very cold. In addition to all the troubles, the wind constantly brings pieces of silt and algae to the coastal strip.
And now some useful tips about which previous reviewers did not write anything here:
- behind the real Mediterranean Sea with clear water and a soft sandy bottom, you can go to the city beach of Sousse (about 6-7 km. ) By bus 52-A or 52-B, which follows to the Medina, and then a quarter on foot along Habib Bourguiba Avenue to the beach;
- in no case do I advise you to use intrusive taxis, taxi drivers are savages and scammers, as well as most of the local population outside the hotel. If you decide to go by taxi: GET AT LEAST 4 people and ask the driver to turn ON THE COUNTER WHEN BOARDING. The approximate cost of a trip from the hotel to the Medina of Sousse on the counter is about 7-8 dinars;
- do not enter into any conversations with the locals, do not take anything from them in your hands, otherwise you can get into big trouble;
- do not buy anything in the markets and shops. The assortment is worse than our second-hand: Chinese fakes of well-known brands, piles of rags, camel leather bags are roughly sewn in a handicraft way with an unpleasant smell. In addition, STAYING IN MEDINA and just outside the hotel is NOT SAFE for your health and wallet.
- in general, I advise you not to go outside the hotel on your own for safety reasons. The country is poor, behind the gates of the hotel there is devastation and mountains of garbage. Local Arabs are wild, unfriendly and aggressive.

The only sea was blooming, a strip of algae, but this did not spoil the rest. The sea is warm 23, the weather is class.

Good hotel. the rooms are of course 3 *, but everything else is fine. The weather is warm 26-18 degrees, there were clouds in the morning, but after an hour they dissipated. bad, good local coffee (you can also buy it in the city! ). The sandy beach is especially good for families with children, since the entry into the sea is smooth and there are no waves! Good animation is mainly in English, I chose it specifically for learning the language and communication! choosing a room.

You will see a SAFARI sign from the window - this is a local club and music plays from 1 a. m. to 5 a. m. and it’s impossible to sleep! Excursions on the street are not for sale, everything is only in the hotel. When we left on the bus, we shared our impressions with other Russians, as it turned out, we had the best hotel on the coast)))

just returned from the hotel. 3 families went with 3 people. all with children. I was in shock for two days, and then I just got used to it. accommodation is fast, for 5. although we gave $ 10 in the passport, but we think this did not play a role, because at the time of arrival they already had lists with names and assigned numbers.

just returned from the hotel. 3 families went with 3 people. all with children. I was in shock for two days, and then I just got used to it. accommodation is fast, for 5. although we gave $ 10 in the passport, but we think this did not play a role, because at the time of arrival they already had lists with names and assigned numbers. music from the disco is heard everywhere (but not much). no one understands anything in Russian. checked in at 9pm. There was no food, so we were hungry. airport notes 7 minutes drive. planes are not heard. number is small. everything is clean but primitive. A/C always works, even if you are not in the room. The curtains are very thick so you can sleep all day. at lunch the next day you need to go to the director of the restaurant, and he will give you a place and time to visit the feeder. by the end of your time, you'll just be nicely asked to leave. because food is in 2 shifts. if you decide to go to one of the free Italian or Scandinavian restaurants, book along the way, as they have a long line on the sheet (we didn’t get in, although 2-3 tables are available in the evening). food is everything. without queues. only everything is unsalted (and the restaurant does not always have salt) or very spicy. the children mostly ate french fries, pasta, delicious fish or chicken in batter, awesome croissants in the morning. ice cream for lunch or dinner, they put it in cups, you can come up as many times as you want, you just have to stand in line. on the territory of the omnipotent guy sells ice cream all day, for 2 dinars. sun loungers on the beach occupied at 6 am (well, because the difference is 3 hours and woke up early) and so there is no strain. because tourists are only foreigners, and they always sit by the pool or on the lawn. the staff communicates only with them. with us they were interested in getting or exchanging Russian vodka for something (we took checks, and they thanked them for something) and Russian chocolate (we gave maids instead of tips). All drinks are poured by the waiters themselves. often in washed disposable glasses. bottled water is available at the lobby. There are no beach towels, but at the reception you can take a deposit for $ 10. (no one wrote about this, so we dragged it with us). the whole building is made by some kind of corridors (you will break your head until you get there). Safe at reception but we didn't use it. says 2 dinars a day, not 20. for some reason the sauna and boor did not work. the territory is beautiful, green, well-groomed. the sand is wet in the morning, and you look at its whiteness only at lunchtime. the sea was hot, no contrast. at 6 in the morning it’s clean, but with jellyfish (by the way, in August there are a lot of them and they stung us all. Now we know that we need to immediately apply a tomato. Or even better, how can we take out a children’s bucket on the sand. ) and after lunch there are big waves and they raise from the bottom all the dirt, algae. it's boring to come in. You have to go far to swim. but on pleasant fine sand. but don’t buy anything in the hotel (for example, a watch cost 85 dinars) and in a tseville store after 200 meters, 12 dinars. There is a difference! Souvenirs are full. locals walk on the beach, sell fruit or carry chameleons, hawks with failure. took a picture.... You won't leave! Give the dinar for food to the animal. The animation is really not intrusive. 2 times a day water aerobics. latina. games. but no one will call you. you know the schedule, go play. In the evening they have a show, but only in German, English and French. In principle, I will not say that we had a bad rest. all were without burns, they were not smeared with creams. the breeze is pleasant, and from it the tan is layered. 39 of them are perceived as ours. 23-25. money is changed at the reception. but it is even more profitable to take in euros (transfer directly at the checkout). back zabali from the hotel for 2 hours. registration was completed in 15 minutes. and here we are in a luxurious Boeing * transaero *. If I were offered to go to this hotel not for expensive, I would return. have a nice holiday everyone!
