A week ago I returned from a vacation from the Lella Baya & Thalasso Hotel in Yasmine Hammamet, Tunisia. To say that I liked it is to say nothing. We arrived at the hotel at 7 in the morning and we were immediately settled (according to the contract they had to be settled until 14.00), so we were lucky right away. Polite attentive staff, beautiful area. But if you are looking for a hotel for a noisy company - this is not for you. Here the main category of vacationers is European pensioners. This is a hotel for lovers of a relaxing holiday. Although in the evenings, French grandparents light up under French performers. Restaurant in the hotel - class. There is a grill where you can fry a shish kebab or chop in front of you. They can also prepare pasta for you. For dinner every day they gave ice cream and ice cream cakes, a huge selection of cakes. The beach is normal, but when it storms, the water is dirty - pieces of paper, napkins. For a deposit of 10 dinars ($ 4), you can take a beach towel at the reception. But if you do not know either English or French, it will be difficult to communicate with the staff. Everyone at the reception knows French, practically no Russian, you can also find an interlocutor in English. Of the minuses - except that the room overlooking the courtyard. But since my husband and I only came to the hotel to spend the night, this did not upset us very much. The bed was changed every day (they didn’t give tea either at check-in or the maids).
But I strongly advise against booking excursions at the hotel. It is better to plan the route in advance and drive yourself - it will be much cheaper. From Yasmine Hammamet you can drive to the capital of Tunisia, see Carthage (the locals call it Carthage) and visit the blue city of Sidi Bou Said. In a few days I will post a detailed plan on my YouTube channel on how to get to these tourist places from Yasmine without unfastening the guides.
