The staff speaks Arabic, French, English.
The territory is very clean, the pool is clean, the animation by the pool - both during the day and in the evening - is of a high level, both children and adults are always involved. The music sounds very good. Various cocktails are made at the pool bar. Had a procedure at the SPA - I recommend trying it.
WI-FI works only at the reception in the hall, but if you come to rest from the hustle and bustle, then it is unnecessary.
Minus:
The beach - there was a lot of seaweed and nobody cleaned it. But there was a lot of garbage on the beach - they didn't clean it either.
A slight but persistent disrespect for the tourist was generally manifested sometimes, but quite often.
We arrived at the hotel at 21.30. There was no late lunch, no sandwiches, nothing to eat (in other hotels, at least cakes were left in the room).
But they immediately offered to improve the room (sea view) for $ 40. I refused. There is no kettle, no stickers with sugar, tea, coffee in the room.
The refrigerator was turned off (because they knew that we would come! ). I had to get on all fours, crawl under the table, connect the refrigerator.
There are no bathrobes and slippers.
I tried to turn on the TV - there is no remote control. You need to go down, leave 20 dinars as a deposit, then you will get a remote control. The same goes for beach towels - 20 dinars deposit per person. Towels - okay, but the remote? I have never met such an attitude in the most modest resorts of Ukraine.
The external and internal surroundings are beautiful, but this, perhaps, is the whole "trick" of the hotel. The lid of the chest in the room was torn off.
The room was cleaned well every day, even despite the "do not disturb" sign.
I was pleased with the indoor heated pool with sea water.
The beach bar was not open.
Tourists: 60% French-speaking, 30% Russians, by the end of the month 40% to 40%.
The biggest gripe is the food. Deaf Turkish troika-standard. There are no seafood. Twice a week - meals including squid rings. There is no ice cream at all.
Meat - beef, turkey.
From the dishes - a lot of spaghetti, pasta and rice in different versions.
Lunch and dinner - waiters serve wine and beer.
We bought a local SIM card (10 dinars for the SIM card itself and 25 for Internet and telephony payments) - it did not work. And I don't have one. The people quarreled.
There were always enough mattresses and sunbeds at the hotel pool. There were no concerts, no Arabian Nights. Standard francophone animation repeated every day.
There are many small shops nearby and the Costa Mall shopping center - for souvenirs - go there! In general, I advise everyone to download the maps. me application to phones and tablets - the map works even without the Internet and shows all the hot spots, entertainment, the zoo.
Conclusion: would I go again? No. Would you recommend to friends? No. For the same money (36.500 for 13 nights) at the Marhaba Palace in Port El Kantaoui, we received a super service at the same time a year ago. Do not be offended, I wrote the truth, or maybe I'm just used to the good?
The beach is excellent, with sunbeds and mattresses, one of the most decent in Yasmine Hammamet. Very cool animation - well done guys. Conducts exercises, aqua jet, evening karaoke, various show programs. By the way, 70% of visitors are elderly residents of Europe, they dance with them, constantly communicate, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff speaks French for the most part. Very pleasant hotel! Good value for money.
This is a hotel for lovers of a relaxing holiday. Although in the evenings, French grandparents are lit under French performers. Restaurant in the hotel - class. There is a grill where you can fry a shish kebab or chop in front of you. They can also prepare pasta for you. For dinner every day they gave ice cream and ice cream cakes, a huge selection of cakes.
Of the minuses - except that the room overlooking the courtyard. But since my husband and I only came to the hotel to spend the night, this did not upset us very much. The bed was changed every day (they didn’t give tea either at check-in or the maids).
But I strongly advise against booking excursions at the hotel. It is better to plan the route in advance and drive yourself - it will be much cheaper. From Yasmine Hammamet you can drive to the capital of Tunisia, see Carthage (the locals call it Carthage) and visit the blue city of Sidi Bou Said. In a few days I will post a detailed plan on my YouTube channel on how to get to these tourist places from Yasmine without unfastening the guides.
We arrived at the hotel around midnight. But as soon as they entered, they were stunned. I knew from the photo that the hotel was beautiful, but I didn’t even imagine that it was so much! The architect of Disney Land, by the way, designed! We were sent to a night restaurant to refresh ourselves. And there - a self-assembled tablecloth of more than 30 dishes! Wow night buffet! They settled instantly, with a Sea View voucher, settled with a frontal view of the sea. The room is huge, just great!
In the style of Mat-Matov caves (well, with vaults it resembles the Kremlin chambers). Forged chests, slatted cabinet doors, rounded corners, lots of wood and clay. Toilet/bathroom in separate rooms. The beds are comfortable. The balcony is big. The air conditioner operates according to the selected mode. If there are 2 cards, you can leave one on, it will cool the number. We did this for a couple of days, then we just left the balcony open. Very good quality pick up! Solid 5 points! Moreover, both the room and the hotel itself, and the territory. Only the beach could be better cleaned. Algae only at our hotel lay in huge mountains, on neighboring beaches a small excavator buried them with sand. And the environment does not suffer, and visually very clean! According to the laws of Tunisia, algae from the beaches cannot be taken out - the ecosystem is being violated. But sprinkle with sand - you can. Question: Why didn't anyone in Lella do this?
In all other points, cleanliness is elevated to the ring of a cult. The girls clean and scrub all day. Swans are twirled on the bed, sprinkled with hibiscus flowers, towels are changed daily, washing supplies are regularly added. Tipping was not left, the quality of cleaning did not decrease. They thanked us on the last day by catching our cleaning lady in the hallway. I was very surprised and eternally grateful!
If you have strong nerves and there is no sleep disturbance, then you will be fine in rooms with a sea view. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a pool view. The point is the private beach in front of the hotel. There, until 12 am, the music yells at exorbitant decibels! It didn’t bother us - we appeared in the room much later! ))) The soundproofing between the rooms is excellent. You can't hear a sound from neighboring rooms! There is no dryer on the balcony. But we are seasoned tourists! We always carry a rope and clothespins with us. Fan is weak. But on the balcony the wind is strong.
So, even long hair dries quickly!
It's a pity that in such a beautiful hotel there is absolutely no atmosphere in the restaurant. Canteen, you can’t call it otherwise. Flies fly in swarms. And they crawl on food. Blatant! In warm regions, there are flies, wasps, and in some places mosquitoes everywhere. However, somehow they cope with their invasion. But not in Tunisia! Table wine is disgusting. It is impossible to drink either red or pink, white is a little better, but not ice either! Beer is nothing. That's where they stopped. They feed well. The choice of dishes is often repeated, but you can always choose something tasty. Of course, not Turkish All, but you definitely won’t stay hungry! 3 years ago I was in Sousse. There were about 12 types of cheese for breakfast! There's only one, but what a one! You can sell your Motherland for this magical Rikota! Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are quite plentiful, the choice of dishes is large, there is no lack of anything. If something ends, they immediately bring it. The cooks on the grill are joking, smiling.
Overall, quite friendly staff. With the exception of some particularly distinguished morons! But where without them? Every family has its black sheep! If brazen, overt sexual harassment begins on the part of the staff, and after a certain number of suggestions, nothing changes, feel free to contact the management. Action will be taken immediately. Cheer up be healthy! The hotel has animators. They seem to be working. But they were of little interest to us. Our communication with them was reduced to the exchange of towels in the booth, well, standard greetings. I read in the reviews about harassment. So yes, there is a place to be. But unlike the waiters, the animators do it rather with humor. Maybe, what if it shoots? The hotel has a wonderful thalassotherapy center! Girls, girls, women - you must come here! The pleasure is not cheap, but worth it! A very, very extensive list of procedures and very unusual pleasant sensations from them!
Traded poorly, everything is on the price list. If I go even when to Tunisia, then only for the sake of Thalasso! The sea in Hammamet-Yasmine is dirty. The hotel is next to the port, all sorts of rubbish such as plastic bags and other garbage is constantly nailed! Well, if it storms, turbidity and algae rise from the bottom. The last 4 days the sea was calm, the water was clean. Finally swam! Were on an excursion Tunis-Carthage-Sidi bou Said-Bardo Museum. Interesting, informative, the guide is good (and smart, and handsome, and speaks Russian well)! But 3 years ago we went on a 2-day excursion to the Sahara, where it is much more interesting! Although, ideally, it is necessary to visit both there and there. In conclusion, I want to say that 3 years ago Tunisia was not particularly impressed, but now it’s even worse. After the 2010 coup, they still do not have a president, the interim government does not really care about the life of the population. Utilities do not work, garbage is not taken out. Everywhere there are mountains of bags, packages, etc.
As a result - flies, well, I think, all other parasites, smells! Shopping in Tunisia. Only in the Generale supermarket you can buy wine Magon (state monopoly on alcohol), take Vieux Magon (Old Magon) for 20 dinars, it is much tastier than the usual Magon for 8 dinars. Factor of! In the same supermarket, a variety of spices, very cheap, halva, Turkish delight. In confectioneries, by weight, you should buy oriental sweets from nuts, nougat, baklava, even tastier than Turkish! Not cheap, but the ingredients are natural (nuts, honey, fructose) and very tasty! At the bazaar (souk) buy luxury olives by weight. They sell in huge barrels, try everything, buy whichever you like best. 2$/kg. ))) Very unusual marinade! Smell awesome! Olive oil on tap is much tastier than supermarket oil. The price is even cheaper: 5.5 dinars per liter. Leather bags and suede ones are very good. If you are in the Sahara, everything is 2 times cheaper there. And souvenirs, including. In the evening you can take a walk to the port.
There is such an abundance of restaurants and cafes, yachts in the sea, beautiful, music plays, you can smoke a hookah. You can also go to the Medina near the hotel. This is a brand new one. Antique styling. Nothing special! And there is nothing to buy. In general, we had a good rest. The country is not ours. And the hotel is luxurious! I have no words! )))
HOTEL - interior / exterior: simple fairy tale "1000 and one night" + "Aladin and 40 robbers" ...It is indicated that the hotel is 4 *, but, in my opinion, the design is 5 +++
When we were at the Hotel, it needed a little renovation (our friends even changed the room), but it seems to me that old fairy tales should look like this!
At the Hotel, we were told that the name of the Hotel is the name of the mother of the owner of the Hotel (true / false, we don’t know, but the story is very beautiful).
The Hotel has a very nice pool (outside the Hotel) and a pool (inside the Hotel) with HEATED SEA WATER - klaaaaasssss!
OVERALL RATING OF THE HOTEL - 5 (EXCELLENT).
Immediately about SAFETY - at the entrance to the embankment there is (stood) a military post with automatic weapons: everyone was checked. Entry and exit from the territory only by taxi or by buses from the tour operator.
SAFETY - solid 5 (EXCELLENT).
BEACH - state (across the road), no sunbeds, no buildings at all, as it is forbidden, because it is state (maybe this is not bad? ! ).
On the streets there are vases and benches covered with ceramics (just a decoration of the street), and in the architecture of Tunisia there is a lot of ceramics in general - very beautiful.
OVERALL RATING OF THE BEACH - 5 (EXCELLENT).
The food is excellent - FOOD RATING 5 (one caveat - spicy food! ).
NUMBERS - normal. Take it from the sea. It is better to curtain the curtains at night - a very bright dawn, but curtain it - sleep like in a fairy tale!
Also DO NOT take Rooms near the reception - there until late at night at the DISCO bar and the music plays very loudly, although who came to Tunisia for what ...
It is better to take rooms with ROOF EXIT - see what PHOTO! ! !
OVERALL RATING OF THE ROOM - 5 or 5- (almost EXCELLENT).
SERVICE at the Hotel - 5 (EXCELLENT). Very polite STAFF (we did not ask for anything at all, everything was immediately and on time).
Five minutes from the Hotel there is a market (you can get there by taxi - the trip costs a penny), so you will be provided with fresh fruit at a minimal price plus take their local lemon drink (highly recommended). April/May is the season for strawberries, legumes (peas) and there are already small melons and watermelons and even mangoes (by the way, the most delicious among the countries where we have been) and the MOST IMPORTANT - cactus fruits! ! ! ! Delicious!
Separately, they also took ready-made mussels from the market - as an expert on Black Sea mussels (we are from Odessa), I can firmly say: Tunisian ones are no worse!
And, of course, dates - dates are dates, and Tunisian dates are Tunisian dates (probably the best).
FRUITS at the market - 5 (EXCELLENT).
There is also (ONLY in stores) good WINE: in Tunisia before the revolution there were many French wineries, the owners left for Paris, and the vineyards remained ...
The nearest supermarket from the Hotel (from the sea side) to the RIGHT to the "T" shaped intersection and in the opposite direction from the sea 20-25 meters, the store is on the left, inside the store almost immediately at the entrance on the right hand, a separate department, by the way, does not always work, so in it’s better to go to the store in the evening, but not too late, until the locals sold everything out, but beer is expensive and we didn’t really like it, other drinks are also not very good, and wine is good (see that it was indicated that it was produced in Tunisia).
There was a good silver shop on the ground floor of the Hotel. When we were going to Tunisia, we read a lot that there are good silverware, went around many stores, but the best one ended up in the Hotel: everything was bought there before the flight.
On the reverse side of the Hotel there is a SPA salon (it seems there is another one of the same on the minus ground floor).
The prices are a little high, as they are designed for Europeans, but what they are doing there in this SPA salon is just SUPER, I especially recommend seaweed wrapping - this is their local theme, as we understand, there is nowhere else in the world!
On a parallel street from the Hotel there were (I don't know now) some very good clothing stores. There are also very stylish bedding on the sea and there are very original souvenirs in the shops. You can pay in cash and by VISA / MASTERCARD.
From the Hotel (from the sea side) TO THE LEFT IMMEDIATELY near the Hotel there are several shops with local tunics - we bought a pair (it’s a pity that not half of the store is one of the best tunics: embroidered by hand, wash hot 100 times anyway white, for the summer that’s it) , further down the road is the Port, they ride camels along the sea and there are boat trips: "Pirate Show" - the best where they were (Acrobats with a capital "A"). There are several restaurants in Porto.
A little pricey, but the view of the yachts and delicious seafood make up for the cost of lunch. Again, the restaurant serves good wine and ice cream for children, as in the movie: "...look, don't mix it up! ". In the same place, on the Embankment (on the corner) there is a Shopping Center, but we didn’t choose anything there, and if we go down the street from it (in the opposite direction from the sea) there are a large number of shops on the right and at the end a separate SUPERMARKET building: here- then we broke up, hey! ! !
From the Hotel (from the sea) to the RIGHT along the sea there are only hotels and on the first floors of a mini-shop: there are good T-shirts, shorts, textiles, in general.
Around all the hotel complexes there is a mini train with trailers, it really buzzes - it's fun, they ride around the district - you can see everything.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT - in the first days we got burned, however, the manager of the Hotel constantly approached us and warned us "crazy sun" (like, look: don't burn), but we didn't listen - it was not very sunny and windy, that's what we paid for. ..
SHOPPING - mostly bags, slippers, (berset leather) - all of good quality, bedspreads on the sea and pareos (India), soap, spices, dates and extra virgin olive oil (for salads), as well as tunics. Argan oil, see that it was produced ONLY in Morocco (the rest is a fake). Keychains, mostly taken at the Airport.
ATTENTION:
- olive soap (white) - this is for the face, hands and body
- olive soap (green) - ONLY for hair (and we didn’t know: it doesn’t wash at all, but it’s necessary: on the hair, like a balm, 5-10 minutes and rinse)
What is IMPORTANT - in Tunisia, the most polite sellers.
OVERALL SHOPPING ASSESSMENT - 5 (EXCELLENT): tunics, pareos and slippers are still alive and we still use them!
Also, in addition to the Yacht, we also took an excursion to the ZOO, a tour of the city of SIDI BU SAID, a visit to the MOSAIC MUSEUM and a trip to CARTHAGE.
ZOO - practically a park with small fences from animals, of which there are many: from giraffes to meerkats. With meerkats, in general, an aviary with a fence half the height of a person: you stand, and they are practically under your feet doing their important business. The zoo is big. There are tigers and lions. If you give a coin to the caretaker near the giraffe, you will be lucky to smell the giraffe behind the ear. In general, you can’t feed and touch animals, and that’s right, go and admire. Take comfortable shoes and water - the park is large, you will need to walk quite a lot. IMPORTANT - there is a hanging bridge near the aviary with tigers: CAREFULLY (predators, after all).
SIDI BU SAID - the city of artists: white bottom and blue enamel (top), orange trees and a huge number of shops with handicrafts and much more. A lot of ceramics on houses and in them.
We went on an excursion to the house of a local rich man: a house with three floors, a mini cafe on the roof, all in enamel and tiles and carpets.
CARTHAGE is CARTHAGE. There is nothing to see: three pebbles on the road, a museum and a shop, but your imagination and positive attitude will help you: everyone should take an excursion to Carthage!
We also recommend an EVENING ( DINNER ) WITH THE TUAREGS - in general, a little funny, but fun and if you're lucky, there will be real representatives of the tribe - very good guys, well done!
MOSAIC MUSEUM - not very many exhibits, but when you just start to admire - it's time to go home ...
INDEPENDENTLY went by taxi to the old city (20 minutes at the most) - MEDINA everything is cool: shops, narrow streets, in general, very good. True, the locals immediately pester: sell them a drink from Duty free or buy their dubious tobacco from them to smoke or buy glasses, like, 100% original ....By the way, there is entertainment - the locals DO NOT ask you and just lead you by the hand and 1 dollar through the lanes like a maze - very interesting!
TOTAL:
Tunisia is a ghetto on the one hand (cardboard boxes instead of houses) and on the other hand - the cleanest bedspreads with flowers and an expensive SPA salon in the Hotel and on the one hand a frank trash can along the entire road and on the other hand "licked" grass under olive trees and with on the one hand, the most beautiful hotels and polite staff, and on the other hand, the beach is a little dangerous here, BUT PEOPLE AND YOUR IMPRESSIONS - EVERYTHING FOR FIVE AND A PLUS FROM ALL SIDES!
99% if I was going to Tunisia now, I would choose this Hotel.
