We are in Tunisia for the first time. So there is nothing to compare with.
Pozitivchik)))
Number
We were lucky - we got a good room on the 2nd floor, large, with a large balcony with a dryer. Everything worked properly. View of the garden, but Novostar also gave us a piece of the sea (although it was not paid for).
They got off fine. Towels were changed if we threw them on the floor. Bed linen was changed, how often I won’t say - I didn’t remember. Shampoo/gel replenished, they are of very good quality.
The refrigerator was cold, the air conditioner was even too strong - like a beast. There were no cockroaches or anything else in the room. For the sake of interest, they went and looked for them on the territory. The safe worked immediately. But! To our surprise, it was with a code and a key on a huge keychain. And yes, nothing was stolen from us. They didn’t even climb into the cabinets - the husband set traps.
Restaurant
Naturally, having read the reviews, we immediately ran to the waiter Osman with 2 Dinars.
And every evening we did not know the problems at dinner.
At lunch it is more difficult (Osman did not work). A couple of times we wanted to sit down at a table, but the waiter drove us away or the table was sort of booked. The problem was solved by appealing to the elder in a tie.
We decided to come by the second half of lunch and dinner - there were fewer people, we didn’t notice a lack of food, the dishes that ended were replenished and updated, the dishes were available (almost always).
We preferred to have breakfast outside. The tables were clean.
It is pointless to write about food itself. The taste and color ...The choice is large.
It didn’t turn out to my taste, but I didn’t go hungry. Coffee and tea was also not very good for me.
bars
There were no problems here. Personally, we were not diluted with anything, they were not oppressed, they even poured too much. The lobby was always filled with glass.
They also poured it into our dishes, without sparing.
My husband mostly went to the bar, and he is a friend to everyone there.
But he noticed...
Many times wine was poured to him from a new, freshly opened bottle, cold. And the people before him and after him from what was started.
One more moment. There's a new bartender in the lobby at the bar. And on the same evening, like, the brandy ended. After the treatment ...the next evening, my husband was poured and even a double.
The drinks
I drank Pastis and Cedratin + Schweppes, rose wine. The husband of brandy is mostly also wine, he tried Bukha. My son once took a cocktail, did not really like it. But we are so ..."drunks" ...That we couldn't even taste all the drinks there. Basically, my husband drank herbal tea, I coffee and bottled sparkling mineral water. They also drank cola, fanta.
Beach and sea
That's what everyone goes there for. Well...almost everyone...
Of course the sea is amazing! There was everything: waves, calm, and algae...Only we didn't see jellyfish.
Swimming pool
Beautiful, in the middle of a palm tree. Music is playing. Purely. There are almost always free sun loungers.
Nothing got sick after swimming in the pool.
Animation
My husband and I flew to the sea.
Son on animation and in the pool.
My son always played water polo twice a day. Kudos to Artyom!
Sometimes he played volleyball on the beach. My husband sometimes also joined.
I looked and took pictures.
I liked the water aerobics in the sea. Super positive animator from Belle. He also annealed on a zumba near the pool.
A la carte.
We liked everything! Romantic and delicious.
Negative (((
The beach is small, crowded, dirty, there are few places. If you arrive later, you can go back. Chaise lounges and mattresses were old and torn - they themselves were looking for and equipped a place in the shade. Tables, it seemed to us, never wash. Sometimes we had to lie down in the shade on the lawn. It's good that I have 2 men with me, and it would be hard for a woman alone. Sometimes we came to the beach after 12 noon. or after dinner. Super! There was almost no one.
The animation is too unobtrusive. We were bored in the evening.
Children on the Mafia, children on karaoke - we have come and gone.
Watched the evening show several times.
The problem here is that there are very few chairs. It's hard for me to stand for more than an hour in the evening. So we left.
There was one incident in a restaurant. I needed a glass cup. I waited for minutes ...20. I went to the manager in a pink shirt. He nods, but does not carry a cup, then he also began to yell. My husband had to go, and bingo - he immediately brought him 1 cup.
The next day I outlined this problem to the administrator Alina. And there was no more problem. But then the manager looked at me like a wolf.
Complete trash!
No small iron spoons. Is it that expensive? ! We are shocked! How can you eat ice cream with a pipette?
And more ...But the hotel has nothing to do with it. Children pissing in bushes. Companies with screaming speakers. And why put out cigarettes in the hollows of trees? There are no words...
Bliss!
Sea, sea, sea!!!
Beauty is everywhere! What is in the hotel (chandeliers, paintings, architecture ... ), what is on the territory (everything is in palm trees and flowers).
Smells - it smelled so good everywhere. Amazing flower scents everywhere!
Not once did I smell the toilet in the toilet.
We say HUGE THANKS to the girls administrators! They solved all problems. They work for wear.
It's nice when you don't care.
And they also noticed ...When the chief director was not at the hotel, the work did not work at all - on Sundays there was something and some kind of Sabbath.
We also want to mention the security service and the police. They were always on duty and patrolled the territory, especially the coastal ones. We felt
yourself under reliable protection.
Summary...
Liked the hotel. We had a very good rest in Sol! But not WOW. Price=quality)
We bought a tour from the Biblio Globus (through Alina-tour), helped to choose a hotel (last year the reviews were excellent), date and time of departure (to go there in the morning, back in the evening). Check-in for the flight of AK "RUSSIA" online (per day), you can choose (365 rubles per seat), it is proposed to book seats for the return flight (which we did).
We rested from 27.07 to 07.08. 2019 with a child of 6 years. On the plane, they offered to fill out a questionnaire (name, surname, passport data, hotel name). We arrived early in the morning at Enfidha airport, went through passport control and boarded the bus (do not throw away the spine of the questionnaire - hand it in when you leave). As always, we waited more than an hour for the lost. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes from the airport. (we visited three hotels before ours).
Check-in: Upon arrival at the hotel (9:00 local time) for registration on your own (and then everything is INDEPENDENT everywhere - look for yourself... ). Put on bracelets, went to breakfast. Check-in strictly after 15:00. After breakfast, we changed (there are no places to change clothes - someone is in the room for storing suitcases, someone is in the toilet) and went to the beach. The sea was stormy (the water was full of algae mud), we took a dip, washed off the mud in the shower and went to the pool before lunch. At 12:30 lunch and waiting for check-in in the lobby. Waiting for a room after a night flight with children until 15:00. - sad.
NUMBER: The keys were given exactly at 15 o'clock. although the keys were ready much earlier. Room 16 meters, a balcony with a direct view of the sea and the pool (which was ordered), old broken beds, bathroom, separate toilet, towels, hair dryer, shampoos, gel. Everything in the room is old, except for the TV, but it works. But in order to change clothes, take a shower and spend the night without any pretensions to the conditions, it will pass for a three-star. Mattresses and linen are old and tattered. Linen changed once and then not all. Towels on demand (throw on the floor) and then in return they brought two out of three. No cleaning.
SEA: the entrance is gentle, sandy, but out of 12 days of stay - it was clean for 5 days (the rest was storm and mud). In principle, there are enough sunbeds, you can find them in the shade even at 9 o'clock. Towels on bail (it's better to take your own, they give out torn rags, which are inconvenient to change only from 8 to 10 in the morning). There are heaps of garbage and algae on the beach, no one cleans up (once they removed it when the authorities arrived). Nobody cleans the sand either. On the beach there is a bar, cola drinks, fanta, etc. , water, beer and other strong drinks free of charge from 10 am to 5 pm. From 11 o'clock. - popcorn, pizza and panini. You can try once or twice, no more.
TERRITORY: small (there is no place to walk - the main building, the bungalow buildings and the paths around them (unlit to the stage), green. Near the reception there is a currency exchanger (but only one way - for dinars, change it back at the airport or spend it. And the exchange is cunning: there is no money in the exchanger smaller than half a dinar, metal euros are not accepted - only papers). On the territory there is a children's club and a playground. The mini-disco stage is shared with the Bel Azur hotel.
POOL: There is a main pool and a paddling pool for kids. Dirt around the pool, cleaned badly. The pool itself is cleaned every other time, but bleach (or something else) is covered with buckets at 7 am and 6 pm. Twice a day in the pool - water polo. So there is nowhere to swim.
FOOD: There seems to be a lot of everything, but there is nothing special to choose from. BREAKFAST: held on the 1st floor: pancakes, sausages, omelettes, pastries... Vegetables - cuts from the evening (or yesterday morning... ). Sometimes coffee machines do not work, only apples, oranges (or melons or watermelons) are fruit. Often you can not find napkins, salt shakers... Dirty napkins on the tables. LUNCH (dinner) on the 3rd floor: Vacationers are standing in the corridor - waiting for the opening. Earlier in the reviews they wrote that there are not enough tables, food - IS and the tables are free and food is constantly brought (if it runs out), although the hotel is packed to capacity. The first 10 minutes of excitement, queues (everyone stands in one queue from the entrance, probably the trays with food are placed incorrectly, but this is a question of the hotel and our hungry vacationers). After 10 minutes, you can choose what you want without any queues. Meat - 2-3 kinds (chicken, rabbit, beef, a couple of times sausages), fish (like sprat, a little more and like pollock, once there was tuna on the grill), three times there were crabs (small ones - there is nothing), vegetables, salads, side dishes. From fruits, apples, watermelons (not always), melons, plums three times, peaches cut once. Cakes 4-5 types. Wine, beer is brought by the waiter (they run quickly - a maximum of a minute and everything is on the table). The coffee machine is one queue, there are not enough cups for tea, you have to pour it into paper cups (try to bring it to the table... ). Fruit forks and knives also run out quickly. BARS: one in the lobby at the reception (from morning to night coffee, tea, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The second is by the pool (drinks and snacks are the same as in the beach bar), the third is on the beach.
STAFF: Everyone is very responsive and friendly (except the reception, everything is strict there). Everyone knows Russian. They will always help if you ask.
ANIMATION: There seem to be animators (seen on the beach twice with children, and at a mini-disco) - maybe they amuse everyone by the pool or at night discos - I don’t know! Even when they were leaving, the animators decided to arrange a send-off, but no one began to dance with them and say goodbye (although a full bus was leaving).
EXCURSIONS: We took an excursion to the zoo (from the Biblio Globe) in the morning. While driving, the guide told a little about the zoo, then at the zoo on her own. The zoo is certainly interesting - you walk along the walkways and look at the animals from above. But all animals hide from the heat. The whole zoo with a child went around in an hour, sometimes they fed the animals, took pictures (for dinars). The price includes a show with a fur seal. The rest of the time cafes with ice cream (you can euros, dollars and dinars). Take water with you, you can have a light snack for children and be sure to wear caps on their heads.
SHOPPING: next to the hotel there is a cosmetics store "LAGUNA", we bought a little for gifts. There is also a supermarket one block away from the hotel (dates, sweets, magnets, ... ) - we spent dinars, which were returned to us from the deposit for towels.
PROS: I didn’t find it, just a rest by the sea (I didn’t remember anything good like in other hotels).
DISADVANTAGES: Food, dirty beach and sea, everything is old in the rooms, cleaning in the rooms.
The hotel does not pull on 4 *. Terrible service, terrible food.
The information in the Vkontakte group, in the prospectus, on the top hotels and in the hotel itself - contradict each other.
Complete:
Arrived at the hotel at 4 am. Some of the guests were settled within an hour, the rest of the majority were settled from 13 to 15 hours. There was no escort to the room, they looked for themselves.
Booked Double Sea View. What awaited us:
Spacious room with one double bed, table, chest of drawers, table and chair. Separate bathroom with crumbling plaster, free safe in the closet (instruction in English on the door).
Of the promised - a kettle with cups, but no coffee / tea. Hairdryer, TV, air conditioning, refrigerator (noises like a KAMAZ, turned off immediately). Balcony with 2 armchairs, a table and a small dryer.
Pros:
- fresh plumbing
- sea view
Minuses:
- the second balcony door without a mosquito net (it used to be, judging by the remnants on the frame)
- the locks on the doors to the bathroom and toilet do not work
- the hood in the toilet does not work
- the furniture is quite old, the drawers of the chest of drawers with torn trim, did not open
- no shortcuts (do not disturb, you can get out)
ROOM SERVICE - nominal
In the first 2 days they left 5 dinars each, then they stopped because there was nothing.
The floors are swept, sweeping sand in the corners. Linen was not changed for 7 days. Towels in the room - 4 pieces for 2 guests (2 large and 2 small), did not change all 7 days. Dirty towels from the floor were hung on holders.
Bath amenities (shower gel, shampoo) were not replenished. Empty vials were still standing on the sink.
The balcony was not cleaned at all.
The maid began to break (namely, break, with a roar and shouts of "KLINA ROOM! OPEN! ") at 8 in the morning. The door, closed to the internal lock, did not stop her. I had to get up, explain to her that we were sleeping and ask her to come after 10. Every day.
TERRITORY
Spacious, fairly clean. The paths are lit up at night.
Near the toilets - a characteristic smell.
In the toilets themselves - like at the station, I do not advise visiting.
BEACH
Not big, with awnings from the sun. Adjustable sun beds with mattresses. Many sunbeds are busy and sunbath all day empty.
The sand is cleaned, but there is garbage (bottle caps, glasses, gobies, branches). A couple of times the guests found broken glass.
There is a volleyball court. To the right of the beach - entertainment (jet skis, parachute, banana, tablet). Bathing is not disturbed.
The entrance to the sea is gentle, the stones are in one place and they can be seen.
There is no push in the water. The swimming area is fenced with buoys. Finely, in a couple of places - deeper than 1.50. Pretty comfortable for both kids and adults.
Once an hour, vendors (sun creams, cigarettes, drums, souvenirs) pass by without being overbearing.
For some reason, many write about a large number of locals on the beach. We saw a couple of times 1-2 families. They behaved decently, did not make noise.
SWIMMING POOL
Large, spacious, different depths (from 55 cm to 1.
90m), the water is clean, there is a lot of bleach (there was a very strong smell for a couple of days).
There are enough sun loungers, although there are busy empty ones. Umbrellas (can be opened or closed). An employee walks around the pool, who gives out towels. You can also ask him for a sunbed, mattress, towel, open or close an umbrella. On the day of departure, he "fraternally" issues towels without a deposit.
NUTRITION
All 7 days are about the same, a couple of dishes changed.
Once there were crabs, once there were shrimp.
Most dishes are just spices. There is raw food.
The main principle is to come to the opening, so you can have time to eat. An hour after the start of the meal - empty trays and the answer of the waiters "finish".
Breakfast:
croissants, bread, cheese, olives, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, 4 types of jams, honey, butter. Pancakes with toppings of your choice were baked on the grill (a queue of 5 people). Fruits - dates, watermelons, melon. Sometimes - plum, nectarine, apricots.
Coffee from the coffee machine, tastes like Golden Eagle sachets.
Dinner and supper:
Salads - vegetables in different combinations. Separately, also a salad of chopped onions. Bitter cucumbers, Chinese cabbage leaves and tomatoes are more like jellyfish in texture.
First - 3 soups. Rustic - tasteless water with tasteless vegetables, Vegetable - grated potatoes with broccoli and a bunch of spices, Tunisian - pasta with seafood and broth.
All side dishes and hot dishes are either peppered (to the point of tears) or bland and tasteless. Beef and liver cannot be cut or chewed.
Fruit - like for breakfast.
Ice cream - 2 (sometimes 3) trays and plastic cups. The queue is built instantly in 10+ people. Refill towards the end of the meal.
Drinks - white / rose / red wine, bottled water, concentrated juice (bred by eye, maybe water, maybe jelly), which ends in half an hour.
Drinks and cutlery are brought by the waiter, who can be waited for more than an hour.
You have to get up, catch, bring to the table.
There are no paper napkins. If the table is served again (they ate before you) - there will be no rag napkins.
Snacks:
At the beach bar from 10 am to 12 pm and at the pool bar from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Assortment: panini (ham/cheese/chicken), pizza (dough, ketchup, fresh onion, hot pepper). They cook in front of a guest, hence the queues. Give out no more than 2-3 panini or slices of pizza in hand.
Some cooks are dissatisfied, rude, ignore children, throw food.
The drinks:
Lobby - adequate cheerful waiters, they don't know how to mix cocktails. The range is as stated. Only tea bags and regular coffee are available here.
Pool and beach bars - vodka, beer, wine, cedrat, fanta/cola/sprite, concentrated juices. Often drinks are "finish" and are not replenished.
OUTSIDE THE TERRITORY
Opposite the entrance to Bel - an excellent restaurant "Black & White" (European cuisine, local cuisine, Wi-Fi is free, very friendly and pleasant waiters, the average check is 25 dinars per adult).
To the right behind the crossroads is a supermarket with souvenirs, clothes, food and cosmetics. Prices are acceptable.
If you are going to the medina for souvenirs, first look (or better take a picture) of the prices in shops near the hotel. In the bazaar, the price is announced 20-100 times higher, but they are willing to bargain.
On the example of an ashtray: the price in the market is 8 dinars. The first price at the bazaar is 150 dinars. The purchase price is 2 dinars.
When exiting a bus or taxi, DO NOT BE fooled by "Hi, I'm the chef from your hotel, let's go show ... ". A standard divorce, in which tourists are brought into the shop of their mother, who has a birthday today, and therefore here's a discount for you from 200 to 150 dinars for a souvenir that costs 5 dinars in the market. Gives tourists a hotel bracelet on their hand.
A separate item is the administrators at the hotel, representatives of novostar (and a representative of Biblio-Globus with them for company):
Either the administrators go about their business and you get the answer "it's normal", or they will listen to you, nod their heads and say "we have taken control", but nothing will change.
Writing in BG is useless. You find fault, and the classification of hotels in Tunisia is its own, not international. But we do not have any information about this, but you are supposed to have 2 towels per guest (although 4 * is a minimum of 4 towels, and there were 3 of them in the room for 2 guests).
We lived in a bungalow and did not regret that we chose it, although it was a little more expensive than the rooms in the main building, it was 50 meters from our bungalow to the beach. The beach is sandy, there was enough space for everyone.
The food at the hotel is good, tasty, varied. Many vacationers come for thalassotherapy. The contingent is mostly over 35, Tunisians, French, English, few Russians, many families with children.
We went on an excursion to the Sahara for 2 days, because. It's boring to be in a hotel all the time. We traveled 1300 km in Tunisia by bus with an overnight stay at a 4 * hotel.
Tunisia is for those who love a relaxing holiday, there is nowhere to go for a walk, there is rubbish and dirty everywhere, there is little entertainment, there are pesky Arabs in the bazaars, so there are pluses and minuses, we generally liked the rest.
